@I<3MySD it depends on the specific event, but most of the time international customers can enter the lotteries through the japanese site. if an item isn’t available to everyone, it will usually say so.

so most things wind up being available via lottery twice to north american customers.

No detail has been released yet. The only thing we know is that the girls will be released on 14 Mar both in Volks stores and online store. But considering Volks' old habit of keeping things exclusive and the fact that only 200 Lorina II were released last time, I guess it might possibly be a Japan Only release, like the Pink House release, and there won't be many of them available.
Hope I am wrong...

@Moria_ash Sadly, I suspect that it will be a click war and Japan only (Pink House is a prime example). That new website is a nightmare. I hope we are both wrong. Well, on the plus side, at least more of these girls will be in circulation which means people will get a chance to bring them home (one way or another). And with the addition of the new outfit, hopefully it means that more of these outfits/doll combos will be released in the future. Correct me if I'm wrong but the 2 girls are different? The girl all in red and the short wig looks like the original Lorina and the ponytail looks like Lorina 2.

 

I agree with you...Click war seems to be the new favorite of Volks and yes Pink House could had been a nightmare if they were as popular as Lorina (thank god they were not, that's why I could get my Angela). Monthly new outfits only already send us to Hell of Server down, can't imagine what's it like when it comes to super popular dolls

And yes you are right. The one in red and with short hair is the original Lorina and the other one is Lorina II. I hope Volks at least sell the outfits and wigs only for those who are not lucky enough to get the dolls XD

I'm a bit bummed because I missed a steal of a Kohya on Dollyteria today (28k, my heart)... So in response I got an old F06/new F04 for the senior citizens group

 

My second Asami Kondo head is on the Souldoll 2019 Zenith bod. He looks fantastic although the resin match is not great. SD is pinkish.
I bought the Souldoll with its orig. Elf Federer head which is currently at Angel Toast, so the Elf can show off his skin. Human will need to cover up.

I love the Gou and 17 bodies, but Volks is very stingy bringing them out. I think Claude the Beast was their last Gou. (I love my Beast.)
My dream doll would be one of the big boys in FCS!

What is the difference between the Lorina I and II?

 

Lorina II has a more open mouth.

 

This is the weirdest service I ever heard about. How is this even possible to put suede into a SD's joint? Do I understand the word suede as I should? The leather? How does that make the doll more self-standing? Because of antiskid properties? Does someone have photos of that?
So many questions...

 

@Sechs Glue. They use glue.

They cut circular pieces of suede (yes, the fabric) then glue them on the end of the limbs at the joints. The suede provides resistance/friction to help the dolls keep their poses at the joints.

If you google or search “KIPS” on the Volks store website, then you can see photos of circular rubber disks, which are a removable and disposable alternative to sueding. Now, imagine these disks are made of suede and glued at the dolls joints. That’s basically sueding.

 

I love the sueding service Volks USA has, unfortunately the Japan FCS doesn't seem to have it, but it really is great for posing and making the dolls more stable. My SD16s are all USA FCS and have the sueding, and it is much better than Kips. I wish my SD13s had it!
Has Volks said which sculpts are in for the March FCS?

 

Oh man Lorina II... It's too soon, I don't think I can manage it, but oh the want.

And they haven't yet, flowergirl. They always dribble a few sculpts out in the last days of the previous month but they've never announced the sculpts ahead of time. We'll find out when it opens lol. The one I've seen so far is SDM F-20.

Thank you, @Daniel Falls and @flowergirl, now I can stop wondering why they were skinning deers and putting pieces of scalp in the joints with hair sticking out. Yes, that was my first impression (I am no native so the translation of suede gave me the name of the animal).
Anyway, I found videos about sueding with glue or real suede. I feared you would see it from the outside somehow but it appears not.

I wanted to enter for so many things but I kept it to just entering for the white pom pom pannier. Resisting the alchemist sets was hard but the colors don't work for any of my dolls so I was able to convince myself I didn't need them.

I suppose at least they're up front now with the fact that it could take up to 2 months to get your money back through pre-paid, instead of just going "oh yeah, you'll get it back somewhere, somehow, at some point in time so LOOK SHARP" like before. I can’t imagine it would fit on sd13... Even fitted items I have for Sd17 are huge on sdgr/SD13. Amakusa above is wearing a Sd17 shirt and it absolutely swallows him.

 

One the one hand damn, on the other it saves me from doing a stupid thing like simply buying a Kohya boy and shoving him into that gown to get the girl Kohya I want my wallet breaths a sigh of relief

@eland Thank you for posting that! I really love the original Lorina face with her makeup, but between her and the new Cinderella coming up, Im not sure if I should go with either Jo dolls (Im hoping for a white skin of the original Lorina face as one of the ladies in the future).

One minor gripe, I wish the SDgrG still had two legs available. I always loved hybriding the upper swivel thigh of the straight leg with the lower high heel legs. Its fine for US/ JP fans because they can order the parts from the leaflet, but international fans cant, even if she was purchased first hand from Volks. Its not impossible, but not having to jump through hoops to get one would be nice.

@Roterwolkenvogel I love your Agrippa, I wish for the future to have a Michel released as a girl as a limited and not as one off only lol. Michel's face is so very unique and very appealing, yours is one of the prettiest Ive seen Pauli's brushstrokes are magical, I hope you continue to post her here, as I do enjoy lurking the threads

@GreenTeaSlug The move to have less included parts is an interesting one to me. Honestly I'm not sure why Volks doesn't just offer the legs (and more hands!) for regular purchase, as unlike individual head sculpts I doubt they're generating a lot of sales with limiting those...
