Mino was actually wondering the other day if any of the jointed hands from other companies might be a decent match for her Ami size- or color-wise.

 

@JennyNemesis, your boys seem to have loads of undergarments despite Volks' lack of offerings!

@MitsukiAdored, it can be pretty difficult to get SD16 hands. SD16 has only been in U.S. FCS twice, and only one extra pair of hands could be ordered. SD16 has never been in Japanese FCS. Usually when a limited SD16 is released, there is an order form to order extra hands, though sometimes they can only be ordered by Japanese buyers. Prices on Dollfie World are a bit high, but if you wait to find the hands secondhand, it will be a long wait and they will probably be priced $70 or more.

Hi, some optional hand parts (H02-04) for the SD16 were sold previously. I am not sure if they are still for sale.
The standard hand parts are H01.
You can surely ask about them to Volks Japan or USA. Hope it helps. Good luck!

For Yuki, Dollmore usually services his particular lingerie & clothing needs better. Dollmore girls get all the good stuff. Ringdoll has the best whips, though.

That blog link you posted was from 2012 and they are no longer available to order. It's as @snowgray said to get the hands … Volks USA FCS by ordering a doll when they offer SD16 again (must be the same colour as the doll you are ordering), buying a limited SD16 girl (like the recent Ami release) with the extra order form (BUT shipping to Japanese residents only) or the secondary market. At LA Dolpa 2015, Volks did offer some extra hands for sale for SD16 but sadly they were all the standard hands and not any of the versions like fists, pointer hands, etc ... (which so many were hoping for).

Aghhh what a bummer. May consider maybe making a hybrid instead with a Volks head. I HAVE to have multiple different hands when it comes to dolls. I just love it.

Oh, thanks for your follow up. That's bummer, hoped they would offer SD16 girl body and parts at the Volks USA as well.

 

If you are interested in hybriding, you can always use SQLabs hand parts! They are a perfect match (make sure to get "Real Skin White" for "Volks BW", or "Real Skin Normal" for "Volks Normal"). Its a great scale for the SD16 body. If you do buy the hands, make sure you buy the ball hand parts too, since the ball joints used for the default SD16 is tied down to the hand, and SQ won't include them with the hands by default. They dont rotate as smoothly as Volks, but the pretty hand sculpts make up for it.

Ive also got the SpiritDoll Proud V2 girl body coming in with the jointed hands. Supposedly they are a great match for Volks normal, and the jointed hands look pretty, better than the majority of jointed hands available for female sculpts IMHO. I can use the jointed hands on the SD16 body when it arrives, if anyones interested. Ive ordered in mid December so it should be on its way any time now.

@snowgray I always love seeing Vala, cant get enough of her Theres something so "Shoujo" art book about her look and femininity - she's so pretty! The choker adds a nice contrast to the fluffed up bangs, pink ruffles and sparkly doe eyes.

@JennyNemesis your style and look is always so recognisable! Sexy, sultry and dark. Sometimes I wish Raouken would do male corsets because I know Yuki would look totally even more killer in one.

 

@JennyNemesis, haha, Sofie had that exact same Dollmore set! I need to redo her body blushing because her black leather habits have left bruises all over her... though I guess that's realistic too?


@pris84, I was also really sad that they only brought the 01 hands! I did get replacement hands for my SD17 guy who cracked his finger, but I really wish they'd had the other hands! I hope someone said that to them (politely!).

@HardCandy13, thank you for the kind words about Vala! She's my super girly girl I can't wait to see your jointed hands! I had two SpiritDoll bodies in the past, one that matched Volks really well and one that was yellower, so I hope their coloring has gotten more consistent. And good call on the SQLabs hands! They seem to show up on Y!J pretty frequently... but I think their English-speaking distributor was having problems a little while ago? I wonder if that cleared up!

The other hands I was thinking of that might fit are Luts SDF hands? I don't know if the wrist balls might be too small, but the resin match is probably relatively close, maybe a little paler but that could be made up with blushing.

 

What fun! Wow, that "Sexually All-in-One" set definitely fits her much better than it fits Yuki... for one thing, she didn't have to cut the cups off. xD Every bit of it is too short for him, but since he CAN eventually squeeze into it, it's all fair game.

The pleather didn't stain him, though, probably because he's not blushed. The main downside to blushing, you gotta want to keep it clean. ;; Or, yes, just leave the 'bruises' and call it 'backstory'!

Oh yes please! More male corsets. Yuki does have one-- Dollmore, of course, also made a boys' corset set, I mean, you can always leave it to Dollmore to dare to go where other clothing companies fear to tread. Shinji also has one from a DollHeart set. But they're not easy to find.

Your Kei would look great in those frilly shapes and candy colors I saw at that Etsy store. Yuki would probably turn his pointy nose up at it anyway-- not enough leather!

Yeah, the big demand for guys' corsets would've been 2005-2007 or so when all those rockstar looks were de rigueur. Maybe there'll be a revival again soon, you know how cyclical fashion is.

I bet if you ask nicely she could make them again, if it was a bit of a standard size and a standard design. Her boys do wear corsets so she has the patterns done. And i think if she knows there is interest in buying some, she would enjoy making them and having them availlable on etsy outside of the special order spots. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

 

To anyone else who placed the Black Jack and/or Kiriko pre-order, has anyone gotten an email yet about paying for the remaining balance due?

My most recent email said that we should have seen something on March 1 with directions.

 

I got my "Pay us all'da monies!"-email for Shonokin (my Kiriko) yesterday afternoon.

Check out was pretty simple. Just following the link they sent, signing into my Volks account, adding him to my cart and checking out as usual. The optional hand sets were also available on the link's landing page, along with the doll himself.

Volks' details do well, very smooth lines, I like the SD16 girl's body~form more beautiful.The face structure is also good for make-up

 

So Laine is dropping in to say hello. I finished his face-up and transformed him into something closer to an Albino. Albinism actually runs in my family and I've always found the look sort of fascinating. Although I know all too well the problems that come along with it.

Laine's wig just arrived and I plan to give him a very short choppy cut. But for now he's sporting a longer style The late afternoon light really warmed his super white skin!

Spring 2016 New Dollfie Items - Purchase Information -

 

Is it me @Kim or is this weirdly confusing? Maybe it's the glass of wine I'm swilling?

 

I had to read their notes a couple of times before I got it. But it sounds like if you are in Japan, you can either enter online or through a local Volks store and also can enter on site at the actual Dolpa itself, giving yourself a grand total of two entries. Anyone else ie us has to try it out in the online lottery only.

 

They're not going to give us a chance for the Dear SD with the pink dresses, are they?

Well, I caved and entered for Rigel.

 

I wonder if we'll get the chance months down the road or just get ignored. Do people at the Dolpa get to take them home the same day or do they have to wait like a month for delivery? I want to know so I can watch Yahoo Japan Auctions like a hawk.
