Yay! I got Alice and the turn key set. This is my first lottery and first yo. I'm so excited! I wish she was home nooooow! XD

 

OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OHMYGOD! i just flailed myself out of my chair, I got Little Alice!

 

Was coming to see if anyone else got good news, happy to see. Few others so far. :3

I've got an Alice and Turn the Key set coming home. Just waiting to see if my friend won the Lorina we're splitting now.

 

Oh I also put in for a Lorina which I didn't get. I've been seeing a lot of Alice's but no Lorina's so far. Anyone get Lorina?

I got Lorina!! I'm so thrilled. It totally makes up for my retail job, especially if I forget how many hours of work it equals!

I am getting bored of waiting for luna. I wish there are some ways to ask someone who knows volks if she will be released again. That information is really important for us to know.

I wasn't lucky enough to catch Little Alice, but I got adorable White Rabbit waiting to hop into my life~!!!!!

 

Yes, I've been checking my junk mail folder and inbox, no updates in either. My order status on the volks website displays a blank entry. I'm a little frustrated that winning notices were released on a friday, and there isn't clarity for those who have not won. Cancelled displaying in the order entry would have been nice, as I assume there is no customer service available to confirm this for us over the weekend?

 

Actually their store hours are weekend only hours, so if you call the store someone should be able to help you. You can also email their customer services as well ^_^ Wanted to add that they do have people working during the week as well, the store itself is just not open to the public. I think they are only closed 1 day in the middle of the week, so there is usually somewhere there to help you and to respond to emails.

 

Usually a blank entry means *did not win*. Non winning entries get deleted.

On a previous Dolpa....a doll I put in for just disappeared....and I got no email. Was bummed about it too.

I won the White Rabbit, and my order status hasn't changed from just the Confirmation stage yet.

 

The order status of winners will only change when their items are shipped and....then a tracking number shows up on that page.

 

I was trying not to get my hopes up and just kept telling myself that if I was supposed to have Alice, then I would win, and if not, then i wouldn't.... Well I won her!!!!!! A precious little Alice and Turn Key set will be coming home soon I could not be happier!!!!

Thank you Roweena! She will be my first doll from Volks and I couldn't help but fall madly in love with her at first sight. I didn't even dare to hope she would be mine! I feel much less guilty about the money since I left things up to fate :P

So is there going to be a Dolpa next year?

 

There has been no mention if there would or would not be (unlike previous years). I am sure there will be events (like the LA workshop or something else), just not sure if there will be a NYC Dolpa or not.

 

Congrats to everyone who was able to get the doll(s) or items they were hoping for! I'm very happy to have scored the "Don't Be Late outfit & Optional Yo Hands" for my little White Rabbit (Harrison). And I'm really enjoying all the photos of this Dolpa too! Even though I've been to all four NY Dolpas, I think this is the first time I've really been clearly seen in any of the After Reports! What fun, I can't wait for next time...and yes, I believe there will be a next time, the when and where just hasn't been announced by Volks...YET.

 

Omigosh, that after report just brings so many emotions bubbling back. I wonder if I read it again in a years time, if it will still feel like just yesterday?

 

I love looking at the pictures! It is like being there all over again!

I love all the pictures from the after report too, they make me wish I'd been at Dolpa this year even more. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another NY Volks event next year, a group of friends and I are planning our get together next summer around it. Fingers crossed. X3

Congrats on getting Alice and the Turn the Key Set! Alice is really pretty in photos, but I think she's absolutely a gorgeous little doll in person!!! Her outfit is just adorable, and the Turn the Ket Set is so worth it just for the second set of Optional Hands if nothing else.

Speaking of hands...I'm curious, did Volks actually state that the 3rd chance lottery winners couldn't order the Optional Yo Hands? When I picked up my pre-orded Alice at NYC Dolpa, I got a separate form attached to my order receipt that has the website ordering link printed on it. I also ended up buying the White Rabbit on the 2nd chance at Dolpa too, and I thought I got an Optional Hands ordering slip for him as well. Anyway, it says the pre-ordering period will run from August 14-28 6:00PM PST on Volks USA, and only those that purchased Alice, Lorina, or the White Rabbits may order. These Yo hand styles have been available before in Pure Skin Normal, but this is the first time the seven styles have been offered in Beauty White. I really hope that everyone like me who wants them will be able to get them.

Also keeping my fingers crossed about another Dolpa in NYC next year!

 

I received a slip with my white rabbit too when I picked him up the second day at Dolpa. I am really looking forward to ordering extra hands for him and I hope those who received their dolls from the web lottery are able to do so as well.

 

Volks does not make Yo-SD optional hands in white skin, AFAIK, and that's probably why you don't get the order form with Alice. I think it was about two years ago that I got an optional hands order form with a Yo-Kun. I asked Volks at that time whether they could make the option parts in white skin (I also have a White Yuh) and they said no . That's why I was so excited to get the Turn the Key set. I've wanted different hands for my Yuh for years! Now that Volks seems to be making more white-skin Yos maybe they'll start manufacturing more option parts in that color.

Thank you julidc! I'm so excited for our new girl. I had figured Alice would be a hard one to win, but it seems I'm nowhere near the only one lucky enough.

My friend had showed me a link to the Yo hands pre-order and I hadn't seen mention of Alice winners being able to purchase hands at all. I'd only seen Lorina and the Rabbits mentioned. Maybe it was my mistake. :O I really hope Alice winners/3rd chance winners in general can purchase hands though, I confess to being a bit of an optional parts addict. My old F16 had four of the five SD13 hand sets and both pairs of feet. >_>

Thank you for that link too essiekl! I guess I've been out of the loop! I'm going to shoot an email to Volks and see if groveling a little will allow me to buy some of those option hands XD. I'd much rather pay $30 plus shipping rather than $60 plus shipping.

Anyways, looks like my Turn the Key set should be here tomorrow - or will it? I had no idea they'd send a $60 item Signature Required. I expect that with dolls, but not this. Oh well. I'm sure I'll be able to pick it up Friday at the latest.

Alice is gorgeous in person - I'm in love! And included with her was a little slip about preordering the special hands, so any Alice purchase is qualified for the special hands.

 

I just got the Yo-SD little Alice today and there is a little slip in there with a website to order the hands. It reads, only the purchasers of Yo-SD Little Alice may pre-order this item. 7 types available! Pre-ordering Period: August 14~August 28 2010, 6:00PM PST. So if you ordered a Little Alice you may pre-order the hands? I'm hoping so. I wish I had a working computer, I would post pictures.
