I'm looking forward to seeing all the Shizus. I ordered medium, but I'll be thrilled with whatever version I get.

 

Eight?! Wow! I had no idea so many of us were "Madoka/Shizu Stalkers"! LOL! My "Passion" and I can't wait to see everyone's new stunning new Shizus! Hoping we can we plan this meet-up for October because my Sept. calendar is packed already.

Also, got a confirmation e-mail from Pat, they received my payment. Shizu is coming home to me! YAY!!!

 

Wow, I'm so excited! I can't wait to see all the Shizu's and which version that everyone will get! Sadly I won't be getting mine until next month since I'm leaving for Asia tomorrow. I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone's box opening pics~

 

It's strange, but it's even harder waiting now. I'm so incredibly excited. I wonder how different they will all look ... which color eyes and kimono I will get ... etc.

 

If they're going out on Tuesday, we should all know by Friday <fingers crossed>.

 

This week is going to feel so long!!!

 

When I called on Wednesday or Thursday to give them my credit card numbers, Pat told me a few of the dolls might be coming in that week and she was hoping they might go out before the Labor Day weekend. I wonder if any did. I didn't get a shipping email or anything. Did anyone else? Does FDQ normally send shipping emails?

 

I didn't get a shipping e-mail, but boy would that be cool. Anyone know where Pat is shipping from?

No shipping e-mail here either. I was under the impression that they are going to be shipped out on Tuesday (the 8th.) In the section about Shizu in the FDQ magazine, it says shipping will be by UPS in the US and by international priority mail to Canadian and international customers. UPS ground from New York to me in AZ takes about a week, so I'm looking forward to welcoming her early the following week if she ships on schedule. I know I'll be feasting on pics of the Shizus from folks who live closer to New York.

 

I am trying to be patient waiting for Shizu-but it is soooo hard :-(
I can't wait to see all the variations! Hopefully we will all be receiving her this week :-)

 

Oh N.Y.? That is so depressing. I was hoping for California for my poor Las Vegas self. That means probably a week later than I was thinking, darn it.

 

I am glad somebody mentioned the UPS thing. I will try to get that mode of delivery changed. In 2005, UPS screwed up extremely badly on their delivery of Olivia Morgan. They delivered it to another house. The homeowner, hearing a noise, went to investigate. He followed the truck in his car until it stopped -- in my cul de sac, as it happens. He pointed out my house to the driver and told him that that was my house. The driver totally misinterpreted (how, I have no idea), and thought the man was returning the parcel to the sender.

Fortunately, I was tracking her and noticed the screw-up on line that evening when I returned from university. I had to drive more than 50 miles round trip to retrieve her from UPS before they shipped her back to New York! I do not trust either UPS or Fed Ex any farther than I can throw them -- which isn't far. USPS is by far the best option in this area. We have fantastic carriers and an excellent station (where they all know me, in any event, and keep an eye out for my parcels).

 

Okay, time to join the thread so I can keep track of all the incoming Shizus!!! Congrats to everyone!

 

I just got my shipping notice!!!!!!!! But she is shipping to my house which means that I will have to pick her up becuase no one is home durring the day. Poo.

I didn't know UPS even made calls like that. I've had packages that I'm supposed to sign for just dumped on my doorstep every time. T_T

I've gotten those calls when Volks ships. Maybe it's something they specify UPS to do. But I haven't gotten the calls with regular UPS packages. My Shizu is out for delivery and should be here soon.

Alex, check with Pat. I did not get an email and it seems the UPS email just never got to me. MY Shizu is out for delivery now and should be here in an hour or so if my UPS guy keeps to his schedule :-)

My Shizu has arrived. She is so beautiful. Not sure which version as I can't seem to find any notations on her papers. I had requested the dark version. Her face paint is beautiful and she has very very dark blue eyes (I think). Her kimono is black with multi colors. Her wig is the same as the one shown on the medium version but looks darker. So whatever version I got, I am so thrilled to finally own this doll.

She is stunning!!! Beyond gorgeous! Now I REALLY cannot wait to get home!!!!

 

It really is a great wig. It holds its style and it isn't stiff. I don't have any other wig that is styled in any sort of compicated up-do like this so I'm jazzed. Also, the hair color matches her brows perfectly and I like that. She is the light version. I can't even remember which I requested -- I didn't really care which I got and I just filled out the form as quickly as I could and sent it on.
