Volks News 50: Tenshi no Sato release of Una & Tenshi no Sumika FCS Fair 2012

Sep 10, 2012

1. Yes, it seems that MSD F-29 will only be available at Tenshi no Sato, which I understood from the post of tsukishiro:

2. Every people had an opinion negativ or positiv ! ALL OPINIONS ARE GOOD ! And yes, it is a shame, msd f16 is really cute ! too bad for who want this head !

3. I'm not clear on whether the new SDGr tenshi body will be available at Sato any time or if it's just part of the Una release. I could deal with a more flat-chested girl body if it meant I didn't have to wait yet another year or cannibalize some limited to get my SDGr F-41 girl. :(

4. If I am not wrong, the Tenshi body will be only released for Una.
The origin Gr body will only be released with SwD Una.

5. I don't think Volks always discontinue FCS sculpts purely due to lack of sales alone - they tend to be a bit more strategic about it then that. When they discontinued Nono, for example, she was not as popular as she had been in the past, she was still quite a good seller in Japan, especialy compared to some of the other less popular FCS sculpts that are still available. They then released a limited SDGR version of Nono soon after, of course ;)

This SDGR release of Una, makes me think that it will still be a while before they add the SDGR girl to the FCS...

6. From what I can translate (pardon rusty shoddy Japanese) it seems like the bodies for both regular and sweet dream Una are asexual angel (tenshi) SDGrG bodies...?
ETA: Pardon me it seems like this has been brought up. *v*ll

7. I want a SwD Kun so bad! I'm another one that like to have both OE and SwD versions of the same doll.
Maybe one day.

8. Both are asexual with small bust, but it seems SWD Una has a origin body?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong ^^

9. I believe OE Una will have 2 piece SDgrG chest and SWD Una will have 1 piece SDgrG chest.

10. Loving the OE and SwD Unas and I'm excited to see some owner pictures once the event is over. In the last couple of years, Volks has been doing some really lovely LE faceups. Like the one for SD16 Megu. So I'm interested in seeing more close ups of the Unas. ^^

As much as I love the four sisters, I don't think she's right for me. I feel like I could just as easily obtain a WS four sisters and she'd be enough for me. :3 But good luck to those wanting to try for her! Being a Sato only release and such a popular mold will make it difficult to get her.

11. Is this event only for Japan? No lotteries?

Thanks!

12. Totally in love with MSD-F-29. The only thing that ruins it for me is the interchangeable ears.

I think I'm most excited about the "new" hands being added. The regular SD13 hands have always looked a little awkward to me, and I wasnt completely sold on the other, current options.

13. Yup, owner appreciation only. Although, someone said if you attend the event and they sell out you can pre-order but no lotteries for this event. Or as I should say there has not been any in the past for this event. It would be really cool if there were. I'd love the open eyed Una.

14. Volks is making me cry... I now want so many more of the fcs sculpts >.<. Also, what is the difference with normal ears and interchangeable ones?

15. Only VIP and VS members will be able to preorder her at the event itself.
No one knows how many OE and SwD Unas are released and how many are available for preorder.
I joined a split for the SwD head and I hope I win TAT

16. Oh~~~~~beautiful!

17. So if it is no lottery, i can have ? i am VS member !! Pleaseeeeeeeeeu

18. You have to queue at Sato and be within the range.

19. Wow! SDgr Tenshi body so beautiful, Una and SWD are Una so gorgeous.
MSD F-29 so cute, I love little boy.
Thank you

20. I really wish I could bring home Sweet Dream Una!

I don't have many FCS on my wishlist besides f01 and f03, sweet dream kun is beautiful though I can't wait to see more pictures of her. If I could get sweet dream una a f01 and f03 that would be my dream (also a few more, hehe) now that my wishlist is growing I'm starting to feel greedy.

21. oh man, I really really love the OE Una and with a tenshi body!! I guess I'll have to check Y!Auctions afterwards...

22. Oh my word, I am sooo happy to finally see a SwD Kun! :D I have wanted one for years and years and have actually been talking with some modders about modding a head for me. But no need! Now I can buy one from FCS and have her arrive all perfect and with no fear of bad mod jobs. :aheartbea Volks is the best!

23. Did they change anything on F-38, or they just made new promo pictures...? o.o

In any case, I love SwD Kun/F-51 too! She's gorgeous! x3
And oooh, Una... ;3; ♥

24. He looks the same to me, just a different promo faceup. *looking back and forth between the pic & my F38*

25. So, these new FCS can't be ordered throu volks usa, only sato, right?
I kinda want sweet dream una. I always had a soft spot for four sister sweet dream versions.

26. Tenshi Una looks so beautiful.
I hope I got to chance to welcome her >_<

27. Another question : Did you know if i can have the both (una an swd una) please ? pre order with no limit for una and swd ? thx :3

28. The preorder is limited and you can put in for both. But since it is capped at a certain number, you might not even have the chance to preorder her.

29. Oh wow, me too!

30. Well for me MSD F-29 looks like white rabbit! lol, but anyway, he is so cute!!! i would love to make a cute little girl with her!! >___<, the only think i do not like so much is the ears u.u

Love both versions of Una, she looks so delicate!! <3<3<3, and definetly is SwS Kun the cutest!!

31. both una and swd una are sdgr tenshi(asexual) body [SDGraffiti夢天使ボディ（Asexual Body）]
una is s bust normal sdgr body, while swd una is one torso body [一体型S胸]

pre-order amount of una and swd una are limited, but no one knows the amount except volks lol

32. Great. XD He's one of my favorites, so I'm glad they just changed the promo face-up. :3

Too bad about the limited Una Pre-order though... ><' I wish Volks could do normal Pre-orders more often like Saber and Yukinojo. But since it's Una she should be very limited anyways. o.o~

I'll think about her and maybe check Y!J when she's out! >.o~

33. I've been looking at scans and there is a page for a kyoto Una but not a kyoto sweet dream Una, I wonder does that mean the sweet dream Una will not be released at kyoto too.

34. In my volks news, for me, the both are at Kyoto ! but not sure at 100%.

35. Thank you for answering :)
That is great if both will be offered, then there are more chances to get sweet dream Una!

36. There isnt a Cool Kyoto SwD Una, I think. Only a normal SwD Una and Cool Kyoto Una.

37. MSD F-18 is being discontinued...!? I thought that was a popular one...

38. A sleeping kun I'm so sad now I will have to get a FCS T_T..pity the new body isn't added yet..I wonder if I should wait until the body is added *sight*. The Una's are really pwetty, mature F-01's :). Gosh Volks really likes to torture fans.

39. So happy to see that Volks will be sharing the F-38 love around now! As someone else noted, that's gonna make a lot of people happy.

40. To answer some of the questions in this thread.

1) How to Become a Volks Member

Go to any Volks shop and ask to be a Volks member. You can do this in a number of ways:
a) Buy a Volks News, find the page with the Volks member cards on it and point to the SILVER card. Say: "kono cado kudasai"
b) Request in Japanese to become a Volks member

What will happen next is that the Volks staff will give you a form. Complete your name, address and phone number. If you have your alien registration card, you can copy your information from that, or the staff may offer to do it for you.

To go to Volks special events you MUST have a Japanese address and be a Volks member. The reason for this is that the events at Tenshi No Sato are invitation-only.

2) Silver Card Versus Credit Card

The silver card is all you need to a) receive Volks News in the mail, b) receive special offers to purchase limited eyes, wigs, hand parts and outfits, c) receive invitations to the Tenshi events. Memberships last one year and need to be renewed. There is also a point system.

If you pay cash, with the silver card or if you use the Volks credit card, you will get 5% in points which you can use for future merchandise. It is adviseable to use these points on special order items since you can't earn points on those purchases. If you use another company's credit card, you can only get 3% back in points.

Warning: When you use the Volks credit card (according to my friend who hates to use it), they like to split the payments up, even for small purchases. So, you end up paying interest. Now, interest in Japan is VERY different. What happens is that the card company withdraws money from your bank account every month to pay the account down to zero with the exception of what could be termed "split payment items". Those items are grouped seperately and only the monthly payment amount is withdrawn. Interest is calculated as a lump sum at the beginning of the time period and does NOT compound like on American cards unless you choose to have a revolving account.

3) How to Participate in Special Events

Whenever there is a special Tenshi event, which is usually in the spring and fall at Tenshi No Sato, Volks members receive an invitation to the event with their Volks News. These Tenshi event are ALWAYS at Tenshi No Sato. Only Tenshi No Sato sells the Tenshi (which means angel). The invitation includes the instructions, your name and your address. *** Your address MUST match your identification! If the staff gives you trouble (and your address is on the back), please show the staff the back of your alien registration card. ***

For special events, the arrival time varies. Make sure you arrive BEFORE the cut-off time or you won't be able to choose a lottery number. Often, at these events, I arrive very early. If the cut-off time is 9am, for instance, I will arrive at about 8am. Drawing numbers usually takes about one hour and people wait in the parking lot.

After you pick your number, you will notice people trading numbers. It happens. So, I strongly suggest you learn a little Japanese, smile and be friendly. Although it would be rude to ask for a better number, it is possible someone will offer you a better number if they have one.

Following that, people will line up outside of the building. They will hold up a big sign, so you only need to watch the sign. You don't need Japanese to understand. Line up when your numbers are called and make sure you are standing at your number (the staff will check your number). You will follow the line and it will take you behind the main building. There, you will choose your doll. They will give you a ticket.

Next, you take your ticket and your number. The staff will show you where to go. In Japanese, you say "doko deska" and hold up your tickets. It is now time to pay. The cash registers are usually on the 3rd floor and people usually line up on the stairs and the line will wrap around the displays on the 2nd floor. After you pay - cash or credit card - you then go downstairs and get your doll with your receipt.

Dolls are usually kept in front of the Beauty Salon. When you go there, you give the staff your receipt, number and ticket and they will then give you your doll. You cannot choose your doll. After you do that, you are finished. I suggest you go get a bite to eat. I would recommend Very Berry Cafe in the Yodobashi Camera building at Kyoto Station since it's easy to find and the cakes are amazing.

4) Tenshi SDGr Una and SwD Una

The heads are indeed the F01 and SwD F01. If changes were made, they were likely made to the neck so that the necks would fit the SDGr bodies, but I'd have to see the dolls in person to see if the heads were changed anymore than that. I doubt it since the little Yo-Tenshi Una is the same as the F01 Yo-SD versions with the exception that Una is WS.

The body is a "s-bust" which could mean flat or small-chested. It APPEARS that it is a single torso body. The same doll, albeit in a very, very limited quantity, is offered at Cool Kyoto wearing the most recent Omukae Outfits offered at Tenshi No Sato (repeats of the past Japanese-inspired outfits except with gold rather than pink accents).

5) Other Dolls

Other dolls will be offered at the event in addition to Tenshi SDGr Una and SwD Una on a first-come, first-serve basis. These include: Mika, Ken, SwD Mamu, Tenshi Nono, Tenshi Show and a few others that I cannot recall at this time. Show seems to be the most popular. A few will likely appear on YJ Auctions in the next 48 hours.

I tried to translate as much as I found interesting based on the Volks News and took very quick photos with my iPhone. Not the greatest, of course, but they're only temporary until Volks themselves post them. I do it mostly for the Japanese practice. I will delete the photos after the limited clothing event on October 20th, so record information you would like to save. The next Volks News is scheduled for release beginning of November. That should include the December Tokyo Dolpa releases. The next Dolpa after that will be the Kyoto Dolpa in March, and that usually coincides with either a special event or a Tenshi event. The past two years, the limited Yo-Tenshi Una release has been released at an exclusive event.

About Yo-Tenshi Una events in the past: For this event, one has been required to make a reservation with a Japanese credit card. If you didn't have a membership and didn't have a Japanese credit card, you couldn't enter your name for a chance to attend the event. This means one required a Japanese address. For future chances, I suspect the same will be true.
