Hello, I'm wondering the wig color in this lovely photo
I think Volks used to show the specific hair type and color on all clothing pages, but I couldn't find them anymore :/
Does anyone have clues on the color (i'm not sure if it's a limited color tho)? Thank you!!

She looks stunning! The hair looks beautiful on her, and I think a flowy dress would perfectly complement it. What a gorgeous gal!

 

@Aiko-chan Thank you! It's hard to decide on the dress because Volks has many offerings to choose from. They are also not that cheap so I need to gather more funds to get one for Kristalle.

 

Oh I know, I would love to buy more dresses for my girls, but yeah...gotta save some money first. Volks ain’t cheap.

I recently acquired a Minnie headband the fits my girls pretty dang well, so Momo snatched it up. She’s been wanting to go to Disney World for some time. Maybe someday I can bring her. For now, she’s a princess in my house, lol.

Hello,
I am trying to find out the circumference of a Volks MSD ankles, can anyone help?

 

@Dove I was looking at some the measures from Angel's Base and the DoA Wiki and it seems like the ankle circumferences range somewhere between 2-3". I'll see if I can also find a tape measure to measure my own dolls' ankles. :3

So I'm very new to the hobby and going insane waiting for my first new doll after seeing my paycheck in my bank account today I went on Mandarake, I saw a Margaret/Rock boy on there for 15,000 yen, and... well, hopefully they'll tell me he was still in stock when I ordered him I already have an idea for a character for him.

Volks dolls are so classically gorgeous, I've admired them for a long time, I really hope I'll be able to get him!!

 

@clefairy What a gorgeous sculpt he is! I really love the way Volks sculpted his mouth in particular. Here’s hoping your purchase is successful. (And as a side note, somehow you cost me $$$! I fell in love with the pokemon on your avatar and had to immediately run off to Ebay to add one to my plushie collection!)

 

@PoeticSoul I woke up today to an email that I got him!!! I screamed out loud and paid the invoice immediately. He's a bit of a fixer-upper, but not an extreme restoration project, so I have confidence I can get him looking great. I can't wait until he's finished and I can share him here!!

Also, that's hilarious about buying a Clefairy plush I picked them 'cause they're my favorite Pokemon. They're pink and star-shaped, what's not to love?

Currently backreading all the archives of these Volks mini threads. I have such a soft spot for minis...

hello guys, i ordered volks renee on sdc body, can anyone tell me what is the size of the neck hole or just the neck? i want to change the body for her to more grown up one and thinking about sadol maybe 60cm :3

 

Renee is a 6/7" size MSD head. She will definitely not fit on a 60cm body. The SDC body is Volks mature mini body, they have pretty decent sized boobs.


You might have more luck looking at someone like the Luts Model Delf girls, but I don't think Luts has been a good resin match for Volks for a while

So Rock arrived a couple of weeks ago and... I'm completely blown away. I think this is the first time I've seen a Volks doll in person? WOW. I have an unedited video of my reaction opening the box and I was just hollering. There's so much personality in these sculpts, for some reason it's even more magnified in person. He's the most beautiful thing I own.

I snapped some photos the night he arrived but he's not fit for posting yet ^__^;; He's kind of been through a lot. He's currently in pieces, and over the past couple weeks I've been applying the research I've done to try and reduce some of the staining and age yellowing through (very, very slowly, with very high grit sandpaper) sanding him a bit. I think it's doing him a lot of good! It's a tiny bit nerve-wracking haha but so far nothing bad's happened. His head is also at the artist for a new faceup so I'll definitely post pictures of that when it's done!!

So yeah, I don't have any pics right now but I just wanted to say wow, like, I understood why people were devoted to Volks before but like WOW, it's crazy how there's so much personality in this sculpt. He's so beautiful. I fell completely in love with him the moment I opened the box.
