    1. I think I posted in the wrong discussion room before... :) DarkRu and I won 2 Hasekura and 1 Bontenmaru from this dolpa... Certainly wasn't expected! We entered for friends and ended up winning more... XD I guess I have to create more space now!!

    3. Did anyone catch these photos from Dolpa? Looks like SDGr Date Masamune was there with his lovely "Megohime"... XD They were placed nearby the YoSD versions, so adorable! The photo is the fourth one down:

    4. Congrats to all the winners so far! I am a few shades of jealous, I didn't enter the lottery for anything but it wasn't because I didn't have grabbygrabby hands. Volks came so close to getting me with a Yo for the first time but I managed to escape by being out of town! >__<

      The AE on-line is just a release on the Volks site. They announce the date and time, when the time comes you sit there hovering at the site and begin the mad dash of trying to get things into your cart and checking out as quickly as you can. Things sell out, come back up for sale once you've given up, they fall out of your cart as you attempt to pay and the site crashes repeatedly. It has taken me as long as 20-45 minutes to land an item/items.

      It's quite frustrating and I know I have never gotten everything I've wanted. If you are only after one item, your chances of landing what you want are not as bad. It does depend on the item! I never manage to get the fluffy SD/SD13 girl dresses but my odds have been much better with everything else.

      As far as going in person, some Sumikas are busier than others and you don't know where you'll end up in the line, they have you draw numbers and line up in that order, so it does not matter how early you get there. If you get a good spot in line you're golden, otherwise it's as iffy as trying on-line.

      I see a charming Tsukasa in there, with a lovely lovely faceup, but he looks like he's just roofie'd his jailbait girlfriend into a coma. Normally Tsukasas are such nice guys. Wouldn't trust him at a party. xD

      My guess is that the grown up Megohime was made out with an Ushiwakamaru head, since he looks exactly like the Yo. Mine is consistently mistaken for a girl, so why not? It's a very clever one-off idea. :)

    13. I'm just wishing they'd picked a grownup head, like the time they made that fakeout Lady Murasaki for the Genji display, wotsit, Pearl or Amelia or someone.... Or else, just wait till you put out the big Megohime, dudes! Sheesh, those Volks folks like to alarm me. (I never did get over those Seitenshi with the huge grinning teeth, and that was like 3 years ago.) I figure, the grownup Megohime can't be too many Dolpas away.

      But, to her credit, Franken-Megohime and her Masamune both look like they can't quite keep a straight face over the situation. XD "CAN you believe this body they put me on, dahlings??"

      Ahh, that does look like a Hewitt! Thanks! I've never seen one with a faceup quite like that... I knew it was one of the serious MSD boys, but that it was Not-Schulze.... What a sweet little guy. :chocoheart

    15. That girl with the orange braids is a Victorique according to one of the Volks blogs (don't remember if it's the VS or smile one). Saw her picture on there a while ago and was suprised it was a Victorique myself, shows she has a lot of potential.

That is so interesting about drawing numbers; I never would have guessed! Do they have all the limited items right up front, or do you need to know where to find them? And do the stores open at the time of the AE or at the regular time?

    18. I've never been a Tinies person, but I developed a last-minute jones for a Bontenmaru, put in at the very end of the international lottery, and . . . GOT HIM!! Really wasn't expecting that at all. He and Yoona, my Hyperdolly whichever-one-she-is-not-the-one-with-teeth, can create doomy mayhem all over the house. :)

      I got one of those little stinkers, too. I love how Bontenmaru looks "all grown up" and grumpy. So, I'm guessing there are 4 coming to the USA. Congrats to all!!

      Long, long ago and far away.......no.....that's the beginning of another story.....anyway, I did have one of the first Yo-SD boys. Rengemaru was cute, but too much like a baby, so I sold him. I was tempted and still am by Isao Yo-SD.

      Meanwhile, I've yet to get any word from Volks, but checking my order status on their site shows that my grumpy little dude has indeed shipped! :) I can't wait! EMS usually arrives on my door fairly quickly from Volks, so I'm thinking I may even have him by the end of the week! ;)
