Can anybody translate that page intelligibly--? Especially in the middle/end? Google Translate results in a bunch of babelfish babble about men & peaches. Which may or may not have anything to do with bare buttocks, but which is amusing me intensely.

I'd also like to know what Bontenmaru is shouting in that speech-bubble. He always looks like such an enthusiastic little bugger.

here the "Man" means bun like those Chinese Steam Meat Bun you see in Dim Sum Places.

Peach Bun is referring to the bare buttocks, since the shape of the buttocks looks like the shape of a peach (when you put the rounded top part upside down)

Now in the bubble it says Peach Bum, but the blog is jokingly saying that "Peach Bun" is a typo, that the Bontenmaru is trying to say "To challenge" (the two kanji are very similar) - since he is a samurai so there is no way that he could be saying peach bun.

Really like them both, but I wanted a 17 sized doll... But man Hasekawa...

I know they're good quality, and that's why I love them but it's really hard for a poor college student > <

I'm still a little on the fence about him, but I have the sinking feeling that more pictures may well tip the balance in a way that'll make my bank account cry.

 

I laughed when I read Hasekura's storyline on VolksUSA website. He reminds me of F40 and F38. I would love him to befriend my F38 Christian Himura. I don't have the budget and space for him. I can't imagine selling any of my resin boys to make space.

Besides, I am having a rough time in my career and personal life. Hasekura's price is on the high side for an SDGR. I might hold off participating in lottery for a while but Christian F38 and I will dearly miss Hasekura.

 

Seeing as neither of the Yo's or the Idol Master dolls are up on Volks USA, I can assume that they aren't being offered to the US?

 

Ah, Hasekura is offered to the USA and I must say no! >~~~< Oh well, I'll make a point of finding him later, maybe, possibly.....oTL; He is really gorgeous though.

I'm surprised by the lack of dolls being offered to the USA. I thought for sure the Yos would make the cut. Idol master seemed unlikely to really make it into the USA though, I figured they'd be like Touhou Project DD and apparently they are.

wow Volks raised the price so much this time. It used to be 11 times of the JPY price but now it's at least 12 times. I wonder if this is a permanent change.

 

Probably because this time they're using the actual currency rate. Before they have not been, at least not these last few times. They'd been giving the US something of a deal.

 

I couldn't justify the cost for a full-set, when I'll never use the clothing. Hasekura is handsome, though--

I just wish it was possible to order a wider range of "basic" SD13's or FCS from the USA site! Do they really sell many Link and Show?

Sad that Sakura's not available for everyone that orders, but I guess that's only available to those who go to Sendai, and Volks isn't THAT nice :/

 

I am extremely disappointed about the iDOLM@STER girls. Blasted Namco. They always underestimate the Western market.

I hope they offer Bontenmaru at a later time to volksusa. I bit disappointed yet relieved Bontenmaru is not part of the lottery.

'Think he may go on my "pick up a head from someone later on"-list, because I do like him a lot. But there's just no way I can justify that price-tag.

 

Oh dear, it appears that Volks USA has finally updated their prices to reflect the JPY/USD exchange rate. Hasekura costs just a bit more than the price you'd get by plugging his JPY price into xe.com's converter. I had debated with myself over buying such an expensive doll, and had planned to go for it, but he's a good $250+ more than I had planned for, so I think I might pass and just go pick up a wishlist doll or a pair of Feeple60's. >.<

The prices, combines with the lack of Idolmaster girls, is rather disappointing. Completely understandable, but it still makes me kinda sad to think that all future Dolpa releases may be priced like this (until the exchange rate improves, lol).

Oh well. Hopefully plenty of other collectors will have no reservations at all and we'll get a lot of picture spam. And a few heads floating around the secondary market.

 

That is ouchie. Even for a Graffiti fullset. Sure, he comes with the gun, but for that price he ought to come with a couple pair of option hands. Exchange rate is also way brutal at the mo'. He is a pretty dude, though!

Ouch, that price is too much for a regular SDGr boy and with the DDs not being offered looks like I'm sitting out this lottery.

It makes no difference to Volks because limited will eventually sell out and they will never over-stock on those. Is the gun the same as Williams?

I guess the price now is closer to the actual real price with the correct exchange rate. We are too used to the lesser price (I guess we've been spoiled ^^)

 

Hmmmm.....the price seems about right I guess. I was expecting this. I don't mind since there is nothing else I want except clothes. I guess we can expect SD17's to be in the $1700 price range then?

They are in the International Lottery. As long as they're shipped from Japan. ^^;; And I thought Sakura was preorder. LOL. So many surprises this time.

I'm quiet sad that Bontenmaru isn't being offered at Volks USA and here I thought I might finally get my little boy with attitude. I suppose this means he gets popped onto the wish list now (and just when I thought that was shrinking!). I just don't understand Volks decision making steps when it comes to these things.

 

MacaronTea when I saw The Yos were not being offered in volksusa I was hoping it is a sign they will have online Dolpa. The last time they didn't offer Yos at a lottery it was because they offered them at a US Dolpa ( 4 sisters Yos) a few months later.

I still remember the good old days when the exchange rate was 150+ yen per USD LOL LOL (yes I am that OLD) cannot even get a can of soda with $1.00 now when you go to Japan that is so sad.

There is a very slim chance that there will be a US Dolpa. Because its to hard for them to send the crew of people they need to run it.
