I've been watching the Volks Blog for more pictures, and they decided to give us a shot of the little cuties!

Kyaaaaa, lookit him with those little fists. Oh he is too funny! It's amazing, they really nailed Masamune's hauteur right there and somehow chibfied it. I've never seen chibified hauteur before.

 

Argh Bontemaru!!!! Your grumpy little face....is under serious contemplation right now. My household needs a tiny man, but are you "the one"? Holding out for more photo's!

Ah, that serious face totally works perfectly for my young guardian. Perhaps if I get him he'll actually be able to tell me his name.

 

Oooh, a big version of Megohime would be so cute! She has some aspects I like, but her cheeks are a bit too large for my taste. If they made her SD10 and matured her just a bit, I could fall in love! Or even MSD with fat cheeks would be cute XD

 

Kyaaaaaaaaaa i got my Volks news today ^^ !!!! the new head for sumika avaible from Sato :p !!!! I hope i can go to the After Event Fukuoka in the same time in another Comicket ^^ !!! Yeah !

This is the first time I ever actually wanted an LE DD ever!! I really love the face they've given her - it suits her wonderfully!

They had a new head? O.o If you can please take a picture/scan the page cause none of the scans have shown one that is new from what I can tell!

That wig and outfit are amazing. He is so gorgeous! I am a little sad there was no SDGr girl but my wallet thanks Volks.

 

I want the Sakura DD @_@ ! Do we know how much she will be? I never thought I'd want a dd so badly!

 

I'm safe from the DDs this go 'round, though I'm going to try to snag some of those outfits.
But GAH!!! SDGr Hasekura Must Have....even with that price tag

 

We won't know US price till she is posted on VolksUSA, but they did list her JPY price: 61,950 JPY

There aren't a lot of boy dolls I like, but Hasekawa sure is appealing! Horrible timing though.

 

I think she's saying there is a new FCS Sato head photographed in Volks News. She's hoping to go to the After Event in Fukuoka and Comicket at the same time.

 

I really like the outfits for this dolpa. Hope I will be able to snag some from VolksUSA.

I'm very sad about this kind of story and Volks keeps releasing this story line.

This story line is relating Japan invade the territory of Korea around 400 years ago.

A Date which is released few years ago was same story as this time dolpa.

Sigh..! Why the Japan company (Volks) releases sad, very sad and wicked story.
They can do other theme. There're so many stories which is very happy and not relating historical thing.
Because are they happy with that invasion?

So, Date was not released in Korea even we have Volks off-line shop and we'll never buy this story line dolls.

I hope many Den of Angels friends feel sympathy about our sorrow and sadness.

nekoiyuzu--I'm sorry these upcoming dolls upset you, but perhaps you should write to Volks and tell them of your feelings on this. Some years back, Volks held an event on December 7th, which here in the US is known as Pearl Harbor Day. Pearl Harbor Day marks the day in 1941 when Japan bombed the US, kicking off our official involvement in World War 2. Anyway, some people were quite upset that Volks had this event on that date, but I really don't think they planned it to be hurtful or disrespectful, as the events had occurred so many decades ago. It may be the same with this story line you find hurtful. Volks may simply be looking at it from a historical costuming point of view and nothing more. They are a business after all, and it wouldn't make any sense for them to intentionally alienate their customers in Korea, the US, or anyway else.

Back on topic, I'm liking the grouchy little Yo guy but not sure if I'll be able to afford him what with having Yukinojo's balance coming due I'm guessing around the same time. I am looking forward to seeing the clothes though, and will most likely give into temptation there.

julidc-- Thank you for your comments. I was so disappointed in this case as a old fan of Volks since 2002 and one of person who is enjoying this hobby. That's all ^-^

Anyway, I'd like to see more exciting story on next events.

 

Oh, wow. I do so love the grumpy little Yo Bontenmaru face. He is really different from other Yo releases (imho) And the Komame head purse/container (?) is awesome.

 

I love Megohime, she's like....a chubbier version of Tsugumi! >w<

I believe that case was an old item that Volks has sold in the past. I saw it on Y!J recently.

I believe that case was not a for sale item it was a lottery prize comes in open-eyed and shy version. Some of the descriptions on Y!J said it came with candy.

 

I just came to the sad realization that volksUSA only takes creditcards D: Guess I'm going to have to stalk the marketplace for the Yos!

Meanwhile, I'm liking that "rocker" style wig in the second set of photos. Very similar in cut to one I just bought on Volks USA. Wonder if the color will be as the promo shots show though? The wig I bought was supposed to be natural with golden streaks, but what I recieved was more golden with just a few black or natural streaks. Hoping it'll still suit my Joe, whenever he arrives, otherwise I have the feeling I'll be tracking this one down.

Beauty! Thanks! : I have the damnedest time navigating their tea-nifty blog every time, for some reason; can never find the right link from the front page. I did find the page with the Komame-head-purse drawing on it, but then there was nothing below it, so I must've blindly clicked the wrong link again. xD

New wig is adorable-- and I wish they'd make more regular stock short-hair styles like that, with that choppy look in back (like Hijikata's default hair, or Ryoya's, or SD17 Shiro's mullet). Does this one come in colors, or just that streaky camel-beige dealie?

 

The Magical Tail and Airy Wolf wigs are mail order only with the form included in Volks New 49 and only in the colors shown (peach cream and charcoal brown, respectively).

That Yo-sized Komame pouch is very cute! But do they mean it's scaled for Yos or for carrying Yos?

 

Only 1 color for both special order wigs.
