Don't lose heart yet. Previously Volks usually let people know by 5pm Japan time. So just over 2 hours to go.

 

I won the cute midi boys!! And my confirmation was sent after midnight, so hopefully any time now notices should start coming.

 

Just received my clothing confirmation email...so I'm hoping maybe that means the doll ones may go out soon. *crossing fingers*

Considering it still says "Lottery" I'm going to assume maybe its going to be sent out tomorrow. :/ Too late in the day for me now and too late for them, time for bed!

Aww! Congrats Simon & congrats phenix0610! I didn't hear anything about my entry for the after event, so I'm guessing I didn't win this time. It's kind of hard without any sort of official notice one way or the other. Do they post a notice saying "that's it folks all winners have been notified"?

I didn't win this time round =\ Was wondering if i even entered the lottery correct actually...
Would someone be able to tell me if i did it correct or wrong? I submitted sheet A with both dolls ticked. Was i suppose to submit a separate sheet for each doll? OR was I allowed only to submit for either of the dolls.
I was reading the rules about the lottery but couldn't really decipher what they meant. Much appreciated if someone could help me clarify for future lotteries =)

 

pinkburrow, this was my first ever after event lottery submission, but I think you entered correctly. We were allowed one entry per doll and I am sure if you ticked both boxes that was fine. I entered a lottery for a one-off at the IDEX show in April. That was an in-person event and the lottery entry sheet had all of the dolls available in the lottery on it. You checked the boxes next to each doll you wanted to try for and then gave the sheet back to the nice people at the Volks booth. They then put your name in each of the lottery pools you ticked off. One entry sheet per person probably makes it easier for them to sort through

 

Well I have woke up to no email, so I guess I lost. I suppose that order on my account will have its status changed eventually? (Right now it still says lottery.) Or It will be deleted all together? This is my first international event, so forgive me if I sound like non sense. >_<

It was for the limited event clothes you could buy during this Dolpa.

 

I'm going to assume I lost too. Rats. Mine still says lottery too, MacaronTea. I think there is still a slight chance that some orders may not get paid for by tomorrow (I think) and therefore, perhaps one or two lucky people will get an email tomorrow. That's how I got my Johanna. I got an email the next day saying there was an order that wasn't paid for and so I got bumped on the list.

But I think this was a really popular Dolpa. I tried to get Sorbet both through the US and International sites and failed both times! And I couldn't even snag the Naoto dress. Ah well. Sometimes you win and sometimes you don't. It's the roll of the Volks Dolpa dice.

Congrats to all that won! I'm looking forward to seeing more adorable faces in the galleries. And those dresses are to die for!!

I had forgotten completely about non-paid dolls going back into the pool. Thanks for the reminder! I'm sorry to here about your Sorbet. :-(

 

No Charlotte for me! But I won the boys, and a friend won me lieselotte, so I can't really complain.

 

Ah well. That's the way it rolls, I say. Sorbet has been tricky from the get go because I tried for Melty and didn't win her either. Sometimes the Volks is with me and sometimes not. C'est la vie. Sorry to hear you didn't win either. I have a feeling that there wasn't many of the girls to go around. Fingers crossed for toss backs to Volks! And if not there is always YJ ....

It doesn't seem like very many people won this time.

 

Yesterday I was overjoyed to receive a letter letting me know I won the chance to purchase a Charlotte. My husband named her Sophie (my first BJD to be named by him). She will be my first VOLKS doll, so I am quite excited. What I don't understand is the dispatch. Is it really the case that a few days after September the 2nd they will be dispatched with EMS? Why then the US page lists December as the shipping time? Is it possible that in 2 weeks the VOLKS package will be here?

 

International after event dolls are dolls that are already in stock. If it's a preorder, they would say that on the lottery listing. Dolls sold through the VolksUSA lottery are preorder dolls who are shipped at a later date after being made.

 

the reason it is December for VolksUSA is because they have to be shipped here. It takes like 3 months for the boat they are shipped on to get here.

Gigi Holy ~ Congratulations! You picked a lovely first doll from Volks! I love the name your husband has chosen for her, Sophie. It is such a pretty name for a very pretty doll, and it will make her even more special to you because he named her ^_^. Hmmm, I won Charlotte in the USA lottery, I wonder what name my boyfriend would pick if I asked him to name her? Probably something really silly! I'll have to ask! LOL! You are so lucky to be getting your new girl so quickly! I will have to wait until January probably because I asked for extra services. I hope you will post photos when Sophie arrives

Okay....so I asked my boyfriend to pick a name for my new doll (Charlotte) and he chose the name Elaina. I like it!

 

I wonder when cancellation order redraw is going to happen??

And Elaina is a really cute name!! I think it suits Charlotte- my own girl is going to be Eleanor!!

Thanks! I was expecting my boyfriend to pick a silly name, so I asked him as sort of a joke. He surprised me! I guess men do have a knack for naming! I like the name Eleanor too!
I keep checking my emails to see if by some stroke of luck I could get Lieselotte too. I am guessing not too many people will back out of the purchase, but I am like a kid and the hope is still there.

 

Just a heads up, Lieselotte and Charlotte are not going to be sold via shopping cart even if people don't pay for their lottery winnings The rest of the dolls were available via shopping cart on August 31.

 

That is true for the other dolls, but not Lieselotte & Charlotte. I just checked the Volks website & this is what they had posted:

I doubt that there are alot of cancellations because even if there is one cancellation Volks would still hold the lottery. I remember that there was one cancellation for Shiro T from a previous dolpa and they still held a lottery, I won him and on the said date of the email release, I got an email. So for those who didn't get the email awhile ago, probably didn't win. :-(

 

Eep! I hope everyone who was hoping for the girls can get them, they're so beautiful. I can see why they would sell out of them unlike the other dolls.

On a side note, the limited clothes for this DP has been of really lovely quality! The shirts use actual buttons instead of the snaps they've been doing for a while now.

Edit: I'm disappointed that I didn't manage to get my hands on the Lady Wizard set though, that was my favourite of the girls' outfits.

 

The Lady Wizard set is really nice, in order to secure that set, I gave up all the other dresses.
Well, at least I'll have another chance to get the rest through volksusa.

Well I really got trashed on this Dolpa. Lost on every lottery and couldn't even get the girl's Naoto set or Sorbet! Rats. *shrug* Congrats to all the winners!! Looking forward to photos, especially of those gorgeous girls! I may just break and grab one on YJ as there is so many listed. It does make me wonder though how well the lottery system is working when so many are on YJ. There must have been over 30 since Dolpa ended. But really ... it's nothing new, I guess.

However, I see that there are still Midi boys on the Volks International site. So anyone who missed out on those, boys can still grab them: Link to Volks International Limiteds

 

The reason there are so many its probably people that went to the Dolpa. They are the first ones to get there dolls normally.

You are absolutely right. And this has always been the case. However, it would be nice if Volks didn't allow people to buy 10+ copies of Dolpa books. I don't know what the answer is though ... *shrugs*

I think your still allowed to only buy one of each doll no matter how many books you have. Most of the time the reason why people buy so many books is so they can try to get a better lotto number.

 

Yes, you are allowed to buy one of each doll. I just meant, it might be nice if Volks discouraged the buying of multiple copies of Dolpa guides just so people get a better chance at a good number. I understand the system (and why people do it) but it just sort of boggles the mind when you see so many dolls right after dolpa on YJ. There is good and not so good with the current system. You're not guaranteed to get a good number even with buying 10 copies because each number (1 per Dolpa book) you pull, could be really high and you still may not get a doll. And without people going to Dolpa intending to sell the dolls on YJ, many of us wouldn't be able to bring one home. It just seemed like this time there was so many dolls on YJ and so many people who wanted them but didn't win in the lotteries (Dolpa, AE). It seemed a bit more lopsided than usual. Or not. *shrug*

Just curious ... does anyone have any information about the wig form with the Charlotte and Liselotte? I'm just curious what it's about. Thanks!

 

Well to anyone waiting on the results for the second lottery, I just got the winning notice for Charlotte tonight.
I'm quite at a loss because the money I had saved for Charlotte went elsewhere when I lost the original lottery. I don't want to get banned from Volks.
