Volks Hometown Dolpa Nagoya 5: August 4th, 2013

Just saw the Lieselotte and Charlotte picture and I feel like I need them both XD

 

I'm very curious about the new SDMidis .

 

I'm excited for Sakuya. She is the only DD besides my Saber that I really wanted.

 

I'm curious to see what else Volks has on offer.

Nuuu!! Volks is finally releasing frilly girly dolls again.... but I'm going to be out of the country then (T__T). I own those two already, but the outfits on that picture is so much nicer in my opinion. I'm excited for more Midis! Hmm do you think they will ever make Midi boys?

 

Lieselotte and Charlotte are adorable!! Ugh! I'm doomed! Does anyone know if they are on the SD10 body or the SDGr?

 

i was wondering what body they were on too, from this scan here it doesn't have the SDGr logo....i cant read Japanese though. wonder what it says.

 

Thanks for the link to the scan. I have a feeling at that price (97,650 yen each) they are on the SD10 bodies.

 

It just says SD Girl for both Lieselotte and Charlotte. The two below are SDM Boy Kataoka Soutarou? (can't see the kanji well enough so I could be misreading) and SDM Boy Kamimura Minoru (!).

This release is the one that surprises me the most as Minoru has always struck me as a rather unpopular sculpt. My Minoru is one of my favourite dolls in my collection so I will be very eager to see full pictures of his SDM version. His little friend looks super cute too. This may be dangerous.

Looking forward to more information being released soon. Wish the girls were on the sdgr bodies. Still, their outfits are so pretty, especially Charlotte's dress.​

For myself, I think I'll be going to Nagoya to try for Lieselotte. I'm not feeling the new outfit but I've wanted her for ages...time to start saving money and closet cleaning!

Aaaah!!! Thank you so much Riventiana for the photos!!! I feel like Volks has really outdone themselves for this Dolpa.

I LOVE all the casual outfits, and those men's uniforms. And another h.naoto collab!

The boy Midi body is so interesting. I'm wondering how the lower joint/no torso joint will pose. I've gotten so used to Volks' upper joint or 3-part torsos with boys that I feel it would take some getting used to!

 

Thank you so much for the pictures, Riventiana! I'm drooling over the the Designer collection and the masquerade outfits. Did I read correctly that the red masquerade dress is actually SD17-sized?

Some very interesting things this time around. Volks is never short of surprises! I really like Charolette but I find both dresses, a bit underwhelming? The designs are very sweet but maybe it's the choice of fabric? And I might have to get the boys' flight captain uniforms, just because.

Edit: Yeah .. I see it too Blue Bird. Maybe it's a typo?

That masquerade dress is indeed for SD17, and that's Reisner modeling it. XD Very strange, but I kind of love it!

There are some good outfits this time around, and yes, thanks for the photos riventiana! I really like the Lady Archer & Thief sets, but wish there was also a lady pilot set, instead of only flight attendants for girls and pilots for boys. :x

 

No worries everyone! I usually get my Volks News late but I got it on time for once, so I figured I'd upload. It's a pretty nice offering this time! Shame about the YoMidis only being offered on the cruises...I might have liked Cyndy but I don't want to go to the Tokyo Cruise for her! Also it says YoMidi=Midi/MSD sized head on a yo body. So the heads are all compatible with the SDMidi bodies.

And yes, that dress is for SD17 boys! Love the padding in the chest XD I'll try to pick up at least the Lady Wizard and Lady Thief, but if I'm lucky enough to get Lieselotte I'll be over the moon. She looks like the one most people are interested in this time...

 

riventiana: Thank you sOoOoO much for the pictures and the clarifications on all the confusing items haha... At first look I thought the Masquerade Dress was for an SD16 girl.. But when I saw someone mention SD17 I thought OMG is Volks FINALLY releasing an SD17 GIRL!!!! But then I made out the dress actually made to fit the SDGou, SDGr & SD13 bodies haha.

And yeah I thought the heads looked WAY TOO BIG for those bodies... I wonder why they did that?

All I can think of though is LIESELOTTE!!!! I MUST HAVE!!!! That girl will not escape me this time And that Charlotte wig another must have... I'm such a sucker for the Harajuku Memories girls wigs

Yeah, I also thought the dress was hinting at an SD17 girl. So it's made to fit the boys? I totally did not expect that!

I like chibi Cecil a lot - he's so cute and grumpy.

 

I'm really happy to see these girls re-released! So many WTB threads and not enough dolls to go around. I have the first Charlotte and she's a lovely mold but I will say that I much prefer her new outfit! WOW! Best of luck to all the people out there going for these!

 

Thank you riventiana for pictures! Whew, I'm safe from dolls this time, but they are all pretty. Though I love some outfits, like pilots, flight attendants, Lady Wizard and especially Sixh on Beast! It also was very nice to see DWC 2013 results, are they all final winners?

Man, I love EVERYTHING this time around! Even the boys! This is a first !! I haven't been really excited for a Dolpa for the last two years! Now, of course Volks pulls all this out when I'm about to quit my job lol.

No matter what I must, must, MUST have those Charlotte and Lieselotte's wigs! I wouldn't say no to the outfits if I had a chance either ^.^. Usually I'm not a fan of that style of headdress but I think it looks really nice in these sets. My number one priority is definitely those delicious wigs though! The other outfits (thief, witch, etc) are really cute too. I won't be trying for them, but I really like the way they look. And the h Naoto set for girls y so awesome!!

I'm also indescribably excited because my Lieselotte has been neglected for so years. I've been disappointed thinking about the trouble I went to get her when she's been in her box waiting to see if I'd give her a chance or give up on her because I prefer Charlotte over her... but if I can snag that wig she's coming out of that box . It's like, seeing this new Lieselotte has given me some hope for my old one thank you, Volks! Also, I love the eye color they have in Charlotte. I might try that one for my own girl ^^.

I'm somewhat interested in the new cruise YOs too. I'm loving the fact that you can switch their heads to a Midi body! I think that's a great move by Volks and I hope to see that option from here on out more customizing options to get just the look we want for our dolls!

Man -.-' if only I had waited a few more days to plan my summer travels I would've been able to go in person. Booo! time to wait for lottery news, I guess!

Kerbey Lane is no longer around. Rochelle retired due to health concerns. We Love Dolls is the other usa store that does a Volks lottery.

 

YAY I have been waiting so long for this release. BTSSB were hinting earlier this year of another collaboration and I bought both dresses with my fingers crossed that they would release doll versions... and they did!!! I'm so happy I got them now!!!
The harder part, getting the dolls!

I'm going to try for Charlotte.
I want to try for Midi Minoru Kamimura, but only to steal the body/outfit/eyes/wig for my Hewitt so I doubt I will enter. I don't think I'd have quite enough $ by next month if I happened to win both anyway...
I really want Charlotte though and will hope I can get Lieselotte's outfit sometime too.
