Volks Hometown Dolpa Nagoya 5: August 4th, 2013

I wish I could put in for Charlotte but cannot swing it this time. I am glad some others will be able to grab Lieselotte. I lucked out getting her last time and so many others were stuck either paying that second hand markup or not getting her at all. Plus this might mean they will release Lorina again and that is who I pine for the most.
I am really loving some of the outfits with this Dolpa and I cannot help but love Charlottes outfit. I dont care for Lieselotte's but I didnt care for the last one either.

 

This dolpa is making me feel like a weeble wobble. I think I've talked myself out of everything and then I look at my Charlotte and go "well...she would look cute with a sister, think of the dresses!". Despite that I'm still trying to convince myself that I DON'T need anyone. Thank goodness it's still a while till the After Event.

 

I'm not going to be able to go for anything this time. But i'm sending out good Juju for all the others that are entering.

Cant wait to get more word on this. I cant understand the price, 93 000 yen then 97 650 yen... is it different bodies? I`d love the more mature body for Lieselotte... tho I dont mind her usual one. Lieselotte, I will get you back, my dream girl~!

 

Their bodies are different. Lieselotte has the swarriko I believe and Charlotte does not. I already have Lieselotte and I can say in person she is stunning! I also have a no mini in my house so I am safe there too! But I can drool anyway. I love the wigs as well but my wig addiction is at its max. Fingers crossed for everyone entering!

 

The real price of the doll with no tax is 93,000yen but you pay the price in the brackets, it's including the tax and all! The final price for both girls is 97,650yen!

 

If I wouldn't travel in August I'd try to get Lieselotte. Her outfit is stunning and the price is okay.

 

Yeah, I'm pleased that the prices aren't over $1000. Those $2000+ boys they've been putting out lately have been scaring me away.

 

Exactly. They also wear pricey lolita brands, so I'm stunned that they don't cost more.

Any news about WLD? o.o Me and a friend will try for Lieselotte to split her and I was wondering if it's gonna be just VolksUSA this time...?

 

Last time Liseslotte and Charlotte were $968 plus shipping (and tax if you live in CA like I do). Volks USA now says they are $1023.00 plus ship (and tax if you are in CA). So that isnt to much of a price increase (only $55) and you are getting the BTSSB outfit with her. The only thing I was surprised by was that they are the same price but with different bodies. Abel email WLD they are awesome about getting back to you. But I will say I am on their email list and usually I receive an email before the Dolpa for requests to enter the lottery and I have not received one as of yet. I'll make sure to post if I do.

 

Last time they were released the exchange rate wasn't as "bad" as it is now so I'm surprised they aren't too much more expensive . They're so gorgeous I think I'm going to have to try for them even if the funds are nearly impossible at the moment haha (summer garage sale time)! After all, I'm not against the idea of twins . Charlotte's outfit and wig especially are to die for.

 

Thank you Tsukidoll! I actually just received her e-mail and entered for Lieselotte to split with my friend, and I couldn't resist and entered for Charlotte too, since Debra accepts layaway. x3 So WLD is open! I am so glad they're not so expensive, I was expecting 1300 or something for them!

 

I just put in for Leisolette and Ryotaro with WLD. I'm really excited! I hope I get them! I was wondering even though I ordered thru WLD can I still enter the Volks lottery for Charolotte and Minoru?

 

Nope you can only go through one. If volks sees multiple entries then they will cancel all of them.

 

Actually you can enter through both WLD and VolksUSA even for the same doll, but if you win with WLD, Volks will cancel your entry for that same doll you won. It's just a system so that the same person doesn't get two of the same dolls, but if you want to put up your chances, you can enter both, yes. I entered Lieselotte and Charlotte through WLD and will enter Lieselotte with VolksUSA for a better chance.

WLD is a doll store and one of the Volks dealers in North America. Stands for 'We Love Dolls'. They also do lotteries for the limited dolls, which serves as an extra chance for whoever wants to try for the dolls, as well as sell standard ones for the American customers, though I believe they're USA only while VolksUSA also serves Canada and Mexico. :3

I was just scouring the web earlier today hoping to find that Usakumya mini-mini rucksack that Lieselotte is holding, for my hopefully future Charlotte.
I've totally got a bunch of clothes picked out for her already on my ebay watch list and bookmarked on sites

Well for the volks usa lotto it hasn't even ended yet. and they said they would be contacting people the middle of august.

I'm guessing around the same time. I've never ordered from WLD, so I really don't know. Because they need to see how many they will be getting from volks. If you really wanna know I would contact WLD to see.

 

On the WLD email it states:

"Step two: We will then let you know after VOLKS USA confirmation if you made the list."

Previously the dealers used to send out confirmations before Volks USA did. Then they would send Volks the winners list and Volks would send out their confirmations. I guess they changed the way they do lottery now.

 

Does anyone know how to search for Nagoya 5 Dolpa items on Yahoo Japan Auctions?

 

How is it done then? This is only my second lottery, and my first from WLD so I'm a bit lost.

 

Translate the items to Japanese and then search it in the search bar of YJ. For Charlotte and Lieselotte, you can just go and click "Search on YJ" on the angelden website.

Maybe WLD meant that they need to know how many dolls they will have from VolksUSA before sending the confirmations, but they're still sending their first? Maybe that's the confirmation they're talking about, not the winners.

It's strange that the dealers would tell the results after VolksUSA since when someone enters both through the dealers and VolksUSA, Volks cancels the entries of people who won the dolls through the dealers, and not vice versa... I'm guessing it's still the old way, it's just the explanation that's a bit too brief. I don't know how it would work the other way around... o.o'

Oh my goodness I know! Charlotte is my grail doll and I just about died when she was re-released! I must win >.<
I hope to get a Lieselotte next! I didn't enter for her though, so hopefully she won't be completely over-priced on the secondhand market place. Speaking of, would this re-release decrease the value of Charlotte and Lieselotte? i.e would it be easier for me to get a Lieselotte for a better price secondhand due to this re-release? I had the same struggle ceres89 ~ I caved & entered for both, now I will be disappointed if I only get one, lol (just a little bit). BUT....I hope I get at least one, and Lieselotte would be my first choice.

I'm so excited for her re-release and I'm so happy that Volks is using the sd10 bodies. It has been so long since they made a new limited with an sd10 body I was worried that they were moving away from the old style.

 

i shared that same worry too! SDGr is great too but I find it easier to handle SD10/SD13 bodies.

 

I feel that way too. I've missed my doll I used to have with the solid torso body. It was just so elegant. It's nice that they are using it for Charlotte still.
