Gah. Must.See.

I'm almost kind of hoping they release Date Masamune in SDGR size, it will give me less reason to need to buy him. >_>

 

The guidebooks would be shipped on July 2nd. I guess we have to wait 2 more days. ^^;;;

Anyway, I'm not sure how I feel about Volks' version of Date, he looks so sad and not like the manly Date I've come to love from Capcom's Basara.

 

THIS would so super awesome. Saturday is taking way too long to get here. :3

 

I am hoping that we will get pictures on Saturday (I think they arrive very quickly) and I think if we are lucky enough to have cell phone pics,it will be in the next couple of days before the guide book arrives (if judging by past dolpas counts for anything). I am so excited to see what will be released!

In recent past Dolpas the cellphone pics have tended to come out at around 6 pm Japanese time on the Friday before Volks News are expected to hit mailboxes.

Wow,that means I might get my Volks news today! I think I got the last one on a Friday too. Here's hoping!

The Volks blog announced that the cell pics will be up "this evening" their time, so it should be soon. It also depends on how fast those cell pics get re-posted to somewhere we can see them .

sorry to dash hopes but apparently (from Japanese BBS) Date is SDGR.

 

Can you give us a link to that BBS, Kangetsu? I only know the pic BBS and there's nothing there yet.

Piccolo and Ayumu are a bit odd to me. Why two Yo boys and not their girl counterparts? O_O Plus we just had Ayumu re-released . . .

I see Hijikata, Genji, Maki, Ryoya and even a bit of Yukinojo in him. I think I am in danger... if only the SDGR part wasn't there...

Yep! Second u on that. If he is on sd17, it will be a no-brainer for me. But it creates a huge headache for me now that he is on sdgr.

 

He's looking very hot from this angle, too . I can't get anybody at all, but I think I would be safe from him regardless. However, I suspect I'll drool over his fullset from afar anyways!

I'm kind of hoping the Sendai outfits went strongly wafuu and are available at Kobe. I wonder if these versions of Ayumu and Piccolo will be in historical outfits or something? I'm personally not terribly into Alice in Wonderland outfits, which is what I assume the main theme of the Kobe outfits will be.

 

I'm curious about who little Lo is?

Lorina! Squee! Usually I'm on top of these kinds of things but since I'm not a yo person I didn't pay much attention to Alice/Lorina until now. Are SDGr Alice and Lorina different sculpts or just simply different resin colors?

I heard a rumour from my Japanese friends stalking the BBS that somehow Ayumu and Piccolo were from Sendai and even Huis Ten Bosch (could be misinterpreting this!!!) so perhaps they'll be dressed up? I'm a bit disappointed that White Rabbit is released yet again in his normal outfit, I wonder if it's because Volks still has him in stock?

With regards to Date, I think his side profile is a bit weird but from the blurry shot he does seem like he has a lot of potential. I'll be pining for good scans tomorrow but I am definitely largely safe from this Dolpa. Hopefully there will be nice historical outfits and shoes though O__O!

 

That crown is too cute!!! Cant wait to see better pics of Lorina and Date. Im surprised that they are releasing Little Lorina again.

 

From these blurry pics, Date looks like the other SDGr boys with maybe a touch of Hijikata. Not really seeing the Maki resemblance much.

However, pardon me while I go roll around. PICCOLO. I have regretted selling mine and have wanted one again for ages.

 

Hmm update - someone on the BBS wrote "apologies. Got Ayumu and Piccolo mixed up"

Ummm guess we'll have to stay tuned and keep an eye out. Would explain why they are a bit out of place in the release?

Me too ^___^ Ahh high five. I don't think Date's features fit in with my doll family, he's a bit too pointy. However, not safe on the shoes and clothes for Tenshi no Sumika items ._.

I shouldn't have asked for anymore Touhou Project girls because they heard my pleas! Izayoi Sakuya is one of the DD's ;____;

 

Yay ;D Luckily, I mainly collect girls and Lorina isn't quite my taste. Unless she gets much cuter in clearer photos, but I think I like Alice more. (I'm not crazy, right? Either the faceups on these two are very different or they are different face molds? ) Clothes however.. I always get in trouble there! XD

 

yup I always pined for a Luna re-release but that's not going to happen so more funds are being re-directed back to my grail quest haha. To answer your question yup they are the same face mold. I much prefer Alice as I think Lorina's faceup does no favour for her at all, but knowing Volks her repaints will probably be stunning. Clothes.. and shoes... well.. we'll wait and see haha.

I'm safe since they only released SwD White Rabbit and I've just managed to get my hands on his open eyed counterpart, who has been my Yo dream. XD Though, if I had the money, he'd have a sleepy friend. XD

I think SwD White Rabbit is coming out since Huis released the open eyed and it always seems that they come together in a year. Date is fetching though!

 

I really, really hope Sakuya isn't Japan only. They haven't had a Japan only Dolpa DD release since the Ikkitousen girls, so I am so crossing my fingers in hope.

From what I see of her, Sakuya is finally a DD character I love whose face works for me.

 

I have been following the Huis Ten Bosch thread lightly, but I wanted to know, has anyone actually received an Alice or Lorina yet? I am afraid that Lorina might look...disproportionate with my SD10 girls (the way SDC's did with my MSDs). I love her so much through, she is so pretty and I really want to try for her

NVM: I found it lol, my search skills failed for a moment. Oh she is rather lovely. Perhaps I can enter for both big and little Lorina, they are just too adorable!!!

Aww, why must Volks rerelease SwD White Rabbit when I have no money? So sad. Don't really care for the other releases at least, especially not Lorina. I don't like the Gr body yet. Took a few years for the SD16 body to grow on me too though....

 

Okay, so the after event will be open for all international customers, right? XD I can't wait to try!!! ^^

I am definitely safe from the resin dollies (though that Date is stunning, reminds me of Kanda from D.Grey Man), but I am not so sure about the DD's! I hope they are both DDS. I also hope that Sakuya is not Japan only like the other Touhou girls. ;_;
