Volks Home Town Dolpa Kobe - July 31, 2011

They've done Show and Ryo but not Ken, to the best of my knowledge. I don't think there have been any MSDs done in Yo version. Actually, the Four Sisters haven't been done in MSD or SDC, have they? Jeez, I have such a collectors' mentality - it feels to me like they should complete the set .

Gasp ... Sunlight rozen maiden ... I think my imagination is getting the best of me here. But it sure is fun to dream!

 

I'm still wishing for a sunlight (or ebony) SD17 in the Naval Academy story, so he would have a fab uniform.

 

Oh God... a sunlight SD17 boy, in any capacity, would be the final, definitive END of me! I really don't think I would have the power to resist such a creature. Lol. Actually, if Volks were to release an SD17 boy in any skin colour but normal, I would be doomed.

 

Oh Katie I would just die to have my Sui in Sunlight. I never even thought about the Maiden's in Sunlight. Yes I would be doomed if they release Sui in Sunlight.

 

For this event, will they have any lottery dolls. Sorry for the noob question. I am still new to all of this.

 

They probably will. None of the limited dolls have been announced for this particular Dolpa yet and probably won't be for a couple of more weeks. VolksUSA usually gets something they offer through the lottery even if they don't have every doll. I doubt this Dolpa will be any different.

 

Guide book sales have begun now, so we should be seeing the dolls soon. Generally, the dolls appear on their image BBS when the guide books start to be sent out. So start keeping an eye out. XD

I'm hoping for cute yo's. ^_^

Date Masamune is one of the main characters of Sengoku Basara, an anime series/Capcom video game series. He's based on the actual Japanese warlord Date Masamune.

Only he's way more BAMF in the series, speaks lots of Engrish, and rides a motorhorse. He's also pretty hot.

Totally not a fangirl. lol

From the photo I saw he looks a little like Hikaru Genji......I think should be SD17 boy... but the neck looks a little short.....sdgr maybe?

Everyone should watch the anime. It's pretty hilariously awesome and over the top and has some great music thanks to abingdon boys school/TM Revolution. Date is known as the One Eyed Dragon. If they are actually releasing him, he's gonna have to be a scarfaced doll as he's missing his right eye.

ETA - Oh wow, he looks gorgeous. And that is the right name kanji for Date.

 

Kim-When I saw your first post, I looked the anime up and watched episode one on Netflix.....sexy men, what's not to like! I think that is awesome that Volks is releasing him as a doll! Maybe they will make a Yukimura Sanada too or is that to much to hope for!

 

It's not letting me purchase a guide book - are they sold out already?

I am hoping Volks really goes for boys on this route! >_< If they release any cute Yo's or SD's.. I'm out of luck. Majorly keeping my fingers crossed that this /may/ be a mostly boy Dolpa so I will be totally safe! A girl can dream, right?

Lol!! So true! I really hope it's a sd17 now. If it's sdgr, it will put me in a dilemma cos I may ruin my plan of a one size crew.

I also think the character should be a SD17 one but from that photo it doesn't look like a SD17 neck and shoulders? I could be wrong though. Wasn't there a big confusion when that one photo of Cecile was revealed and people kept saying he was on SD17 body? It was a head shot too. But later he was apparently still on his SD13 body and was never put on SD17 body. XD

If this release is true, then Lorina probably is not at this Dolpa. I really doubt the 2 of them will be released in the same dolpa LOL

 

Somehow I hope this pic is not another mistaken release. No matter how I think abt it, masamune shld be released in their Sendai dopla. After all, he hailed from Sendai. Any news Sendai dolpa is still on?

 

Sendai Dolpa was supposed to be either the weekend of or the weekend after Kobe Dolpa. I highly doubt Sendai Dolpa is actually happening this summer and has probably been postponed indefinitely. There has been no news of it at all since the earthquake, and if there was going to be one, people would have to hear about it several months before in order for the dealers to register for tables and make their goods.

If he is Date and he's not scarfaced/has a messed up right eye, I am going to be very disappointed in Volks. It's sort of the big character defining trait Date is supposed to have.

 

Ah! Then I supposed he was meant for Sendai dolpa but may be brought fwd to Kobe due to the unfortunate incident.

Kim is right, I think. There's no way Sendai can be happening as scheduled this year when they haven't even done dealer applications yet. I still have fingers crossed they'll have it at some point this year because I think it's a great idea to have a slightly more northern Dolpa. On the other hand, that would delay everyone's chances of getting hold of a Date . The Kobe Dolpa theme looks pretty European, though, so it'll be interesting to see what LEs do come out for it.

 

If the Sendai Dolpa gets pushed back and they decide to release Date then that would give me more time to save.

Actually now that I look at it more, it doesn't seem to be Date Masamune of Sengoku Basara (I'm not familiar with Basara at all btw). Seems to be based on the actual historic figure.

 

It`s not Basara, but Date Masamune will be available at Kobe. This is based off the historical character and not the game everyone.

 

It was my mistake to mention Basara. I shouldn't have even mentioned it. ^^
