Oh my caution! He is stunning. *fans self* That IS pointy red lip-paint, I wasn't trippin' that hard. And bold eye & brow paint, too. I love the faceup as an accessory to that outfit.

Hasekura makes a most fetching sakura-petal lass. xD I see Volks has been smoking the good stuff again.

The Kastura Kogoro is a Hasekura, he and the Hijikata one-off were up on the HTD10 site as they were the charity auction dolls, I believe. Isn't he pretty like that?

The SDMidi on the left is Hewitt, the girl is Nagisa. I didn't see a SDMidi in the second picture.

In the second photo, I was looking at the boy in green-- he was sitting next to the other Midis in the first photo, so I just assumed. On second look it seems he is an SD, so maybe that must be a Michele. Or a Michele-relative.

Hewitt looks excellent as a Midi! (Or as an SDCute. He just looks great on more mature bodies.)

Eager to hear from WLD before I jump in line for the AE. Come home to me, Kondou! MacaronTea, some of the sellers on YJ have his head unboxed and some good pictures of him. I can't wait to acquire mine and put a long flowy blond wig on him.

 

Aw, clothes aren't up, yet. I'll have to keep checking the site - I might want to grab some of those for my birthday.

Thanks for the link - it seems I have already seen that page without realizing exactly what it was for. ^^ I didn't know what All For One One For All was supposed to mean; must be some new tagline for charity one-offs. Hasekura disguised in drag for political reasons, wow, Volks couldn't have dreamed up a better excuse to crossdress him themselves.

Also, I agree, I think Kondo would be transformed by a long blond wig-- with those heavy square features, I think long hair would give him an Archangel-In-Chief look. I would love to see that. Good luck @InvisibleWings & MacaronTea!

Oh zowie! It IS a most wonderful Amakusa. What a glorious robe they have him in! But, sadly (and predictably), their lighting is godawful - it makes the poor boy look like he has half a mustache. xD

Thank you for that link Ksusha - it has text explanations of who everybody is, and Google Translate actually didn't do a half-bad job on it. It did identify Hewitt as MSD Huey (), Maki Tsuyoshi as Takigi Tsuyoshi, and Ryoya Konoe as Tatsuya Konoe. But close enough that I could tell what they meant.

BTW, that Ryoya in that uniform.

Also Ksusha, congratulations to husband on winning a Rei-Tenshi! Tenshi are funny little things-- they choose their owners, so I guess it was just husband's time to host one.

@MT, you know we require that jacket... Rowan & the headbangers do have *a* leather jacket, but it's a pale imitation of this one. This is the one Rowan's been waiting for for 8 years. We are ALL salivating over that thing, even those who have no salivary glands. : I will need everybody's lucky-lucky-so-happy mantra assistance when the AE click-war time comes!

And thanks for the link of the one-offs. Strangely last night I had a dream that I got a SwD Okita and Hajime. They were in my hands and then I woke up. No dolls.

Tenshi powa! Jimmy is still the weirdest thing in my personal freakshow.

 

I'm liking the event dolls much more in these photos than in the photo's of Volks taking. I think they show more of the actual feel of the doll rather than just the setting. Don't get me wrong though, the in person setting looks amazing, it certainly evokes some great feelings from me, so I think it certainly did it's job. The one-offs make me so jealous! It is amazing to think that these rare dolls are there for one person to have a chance to get, and in such a wonderful event like this. One day I'll go back to Japan and make a point to do something like this!

 

Not sure why but according to this post from Volks on the DD blog the Kyoto 10 AE Lottery is going to be a super fast turn around. 3/22 12:00 - 3/24 10:00 (Japan time of course). I just wanted to throw that out there in case people have limited computer access or were planning to enter.

I hope we hear from WLD before then so we can enter on the AE if we lost through them- but we'll see! I guess admist all the server stuff/shake up/??? that anything can happen?

MacaronTea - I can't wait to see who Kondou becomes in your hands. Now that I have seen more pictures of him, he's totally grown on me as well- I think he is stunning. Please lots of fundoshi pics! Hopefully your Kondou won't be too modest!


Ksusha - Huge congrats on your new tenshi family member. That's a dolpa dream come true~ *sigh* I love your pictures, thank you so much for posting them!

I entered for Kondo as well! But from this thread I assume WLD hasn't send the results yet, so I'm still keeping fingers crossed for everyone to get the dolls they entered for. :3

Thanks again for the nice, clear photos on the dolls Ksusha! Love the Romantic Glance Okita! So cute!! I probably won't be putting in for them. I have too many dolls right now. Good luck for anyone putting into the lottery for these boys! I'm looking forward to seeing them here on DoA.

 

Ohh, wow, the faceup on Okita is just gorgeous! All that warm blushing and fine symmetry. You can't see it with alla that shaggy hair in the way. ^^

And Kondo is just as I suspected-- he is beautiful, he's just got a little too much mouth-paint in general. Imagine those features with a pale neutral lipcolor (inside the lines) and a finer line in the middle. Mmmmm.

I gotta set myself a popup reminder for March 29 to grab those clothes-- actually see more than 1 thing there I want! Black and red haori jacket is to die for. MSD leather jacket of course comes with throwaway pieces that the boys will never wear (would it kill them to sell separates sometimes?). But it does come with a leopard scarf. I guess Volks got a lot of leopard scarves in this month, because half the outfits seem to have one. xD

FREE DOLLS?? Oh man I want your dream, pris84. I never even get to dream of free dolls.

 

I absolutely need that haori jacket - and the outfit that's on those pics, too. Hope I can grab them - would be the perfect birthday present to myself.

 

Usually we would know once the VolksUSA entries closed when WLD would inform the winners. But it's going to be harder to predict now. Still hoping that Kondou will come home to me and I don't have to go AE or YJ to get him. JennyNemesis, you're not far off with what I have in mind for him. Definitely alpha male with all that blonde hair. I wonder which of my current dolls will steal that blue-black default wig of his.

I really dread these click-wars, especially because I know that incredible haori jacket will be gone in a New York minute. But we must soldier on. And I totally predict you both get your Kondo. Must have blonde Kondo repaaaaaaints.

 

It looks like that haori is pretty free-sized, so it'd probably fit SD10 on up to 70cms. They show a little girl wearing it, so I guess you're meant to just turn the sleeves back on smaller dolls.

The photos of those boots aren't too good-- they're sort of shiny so I see why they look silver!-- but I thought they looked like a slightly-greenish-brown. Sort of like the color they used on SD17 Shiro's boots. Those boots are a cute style, nice and basic.

Oh well, if I don't win in the Outfit click wars, I'll just keep my fingers crossed some of their "standard" outfits that I really want are still available by 29th and get those instead as a birthday present to myself.

Poor guy, Volks just overkilled his mouth by painting it so heavily & so far outside the lines. I can see they're gorgeous lips under alla that paint. And an oddly delicate nose, for a dude with such a hugely square jawline. :3 Great bones.

I talked to Debra from We Love Dolls and she has not heard anything from Volks about the dolls, and she is not really sure when she will hear from them with all the chaos going on with Volks USA closing down and the web event this weekend. She says it might be a good idea to enter the International lottery. Hopefully this at least helps a little bit

 

Well if anyone wins the International they could always just tell Debra, and she can remove them from the list and go on to the next person.

 

Cloudedmind is right; Debra almost always has more people who want dolls than dolls to sell. So she is understanding if you find your doll elsewhere; just let her know ASAP if you get your doll so she can remove you from the list

No one ever knows how many dolls volks makes. The resale is based on if its a popular mold or character that people really want.

I caved and submitted a last-minute entry for Okita. Didn't win him, but I'm actually kind of relieved because no way I should be spending that kind of money on a doll at this moment. Lol. But these boys are so hard to resist.

Agree with you. I've also submitted a lottery for Kondo and ... got the notice of winning I still can't believe it..

 

Has anyone else heard the WLD will not be getting any items from this dolpa? I saw a post on facebook where a customer was told they would not be getting any dolls for this event. I was wondering if this would hold true for the clothing items as well.

 

Wait, what? Debra sent out an email quite a while ago with the dolls she was getting (Okita was not offered). You should really contact her and not go by what some person on facebook claims to have been told.

 

I wanted to check here to see if anyone else had heard anything. I have emailed her, but I do trust people I know here and I know several people here put in request, hence why I asked.

 

It would be nice to know before the AE for the clothes as there are several items I would like and I much rather buy domestically if I can. I will let you know what I hear back!

 

The last I heard she was still waiting to hear from Volks but suggested entering the After Event just in case- I haven't heard otherwise but if you find something out please let us know! Waiting is super hard~
