i was just checking the volks international site and saw that there was some kiras still available for sale!, i was so dissapointed when i missed out on the chance to get her. But now i was able to get her! im soo happy!!

 

I'm happy I got my Kun before the new face-ups. I like the other ones but her's is cuter the old way^-^ (But I still am thinking of redoing it myself to add more colorXD)

hmm odd i didnt get the "We are very sorry, but this item is sold out." when i added one to my shopping cart. I recieved an order confirmation from volks in my email box also. My CC was charged and everything or is this some sort of lotto as well?

 

Someone probably canceled their order right about the time you ordered your girl. Sounds like you got lucky.

Does anyone know if the swuricco legs are an option or is the body as a whole an option?

 

Don't know for sure yet, but if the SD suwarikko body is anything like the MSD suwarikko body, it'll be the whole body. For the MSD body, you're required to get the torso and legs together because the shape of the hip/thigh socket is actually different to allow the suwarikko legs to swivel -- I can only guess that it's the same with the SD body.

 

I am planning to order a FCS soon, and it just occured to me . . . are the wig selections for FCS the same as they were before? Or can you pick from any of the "renewal wigs" now instead (from here: http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/event/0809sumika_fair/wig.html)? It used to be that a lot of wigs available from Volks weren't available with FCS, and many of the wigs are being discontinued too, so I'm kind of confused.

And does anyone know what is the difference between the pink and purple dots on the wig charts?

This was probably mentioned already but I looked through the whole thread and probably missed it. ^^; Any help would be very appreciated.

 

The pink dots are the new colours/styles that are available. Anything in purple was previously available, pink is new. I wish I could help you about the FCS info, it might be something you have to ask the Sumika staff about.

 

Ah, so that's what they mean, thank you very much! Hmm, perhaps I will have to do some searching about FCS wigs before I order. Hopefully someone that goes to a Volks store (oh, how I'd love to be in LA for a day, lol) will find out eventually. ^^

EDIT: oooh, it looks like Cassiel has updated the wig lists at Creating Dreams now. Yay!

I think yer right! I can't decide if I should upgrade my girls body since I dunt like the suwarikko body. But I feel the suwarrikko legs will pose a lot more relaxed than the SD13 legs she has now. Gee == what to do maybe Volks will offer different types of suwarikko bodiess *I hope* :3!!

It's modeled after the SD10 Girl body, so I guess it's considered SD10.

 

Yep! The suwarikko body is SD10 like Cammy said. Aside from the legs and torso you can pick any arm/hands/feet that you want, though it's really the torso that makes an SD13 girl an SD13 girl.

I'm so glad it has been added to the normal FCS. If I ever get another FCS girl I know what body I'm getting for her!

Both your girls are lovely. I think the new Kira has a wonderful faceup. You are so lucky to have her. Congratulations. Is she any harder to pose than the regular SD10? I lke her cute curvy shape very much.

I hope I can try for her in our USA lottery, but the financial situation this past week is so upsetting I don't know if I really should. In any case I love this new Kira!

I think that both these heads are best suited for SD10 Boys and SD10/13 Girls.

I've always wanted to do the FCS, but none of the old heads motivated me enough~ I was hoping they were SD10, to make the price a tad cheaper xD; When you get a boy from the FCS, do you get the jointed or unjointed body?

 

You can choose whether you want the jointed or solid SD10 torso. Creating Dreams has photos of both if you want to compare.

has anyone else heard anything about Kira? I still havn't recieve any emails from volks, and on the lottery page it says they will send out emails on 13th

 

I called Volks last night because I never received an e-mail either, and they informed me that all winners had been sent e-mails. Those who did not win were not sent e-mails.

So essentially, if you didn't receive an e-mail, you didn't get her.

You might also want to check your order status by clicking on the link in the e-mail that you were sent when you initially entered the lottery. Mine reads "order cancelled".

I feel bad for everyone who didn't get her. I'm devastated, really.

 

I just check my order status, and it has not been cancelled. and I check all my spam mail too, there's not mail from volks anywhere, I hope the case is they just forgot to sent me email , and not taht they forgot to change my order status

The MSD F-22 sculpt is only able to be ordered in person at the Kyoto store. To order there, you'll need a Japanese address to ship it to. The solution to this is to use an ordering service... or find a friend in Japan that you can ship it to, then go there in person on the trip of a lifetime. I've heard of one person that asked their travel company if it be sent to them. Ordering your doll yourself makes your "another yourself" more than a dream come true. It makes receiving him/her the culmination of a journey, an accomplishment. Or at least that is the way I felt when I received Maya.

I'm not so crazy about these new fads for 70cm dolls and double jointed knees and elbows. Every time I see a new sculpt I like, it is too tall. Similarly, if I see a head I like, and it has the |_| type elbows and knees, I'm turned off to it. I like my dolls to have realistic silhouettes. Sadly, I think Cerebus Project is the only one that has managed to accomplish double jointing with a realistic silhouette, and they patented the heck out of their system.

But I digress... What I'd like to see the most is... a Boy body that is 60cm but looks more mature. There is so many options for the female torsos, and I think the males should get the same treatment. That is the only thing preventing me right now from saving up for a SD13 FCS.

 

I have a kind of feeling that volks make some small changes to the famous heads each year and then just put them in their full choice system= =.

Does FCS services come with bodies attached? Being new to BJDs, I won't know how to string up a doll.

 

Yes -- all FCS dolls come fully assembled.

Thanks Tsukishiro for the reply. I am so in love with this F-38. He is so handsome, he frightens me. Ice blue eyes of a killer. I won't say he is not the character (my avatar) I so long to see except that his face is not scarred with a "X". I'd be heart broken to scar his face.

Now, I just found out he can only be found in Kyoto = hard to get.
