Oh, I hope you can get your sunlight Rio, naki!!! I'll definitely be heartbroken if SD F-08 is discontinued before I get my white-skin Rio!!

Yay! I'm so glad you're getting your F-03! I'm still sad that F-12 was discontinued. I like the new Fairy heads, but they just aren't cute/anime-looking enough for the character I had in mind.

I had planned on ordering my white-skin Rio at the NY Dolpa, but Volks has thrown yet another obsticle in my way. I've fallen in love with Rose from the upcoming Kyoto Dolpa, and I might end up spending my savings on her instead. If I'm not able to get her, then I'll go forward with my FCS plans. It's such a hard decision to make, knowing that F-08 might be discontinued next!

Oh, I like each of my dolls to have their own bodies. I'd feel bad if I had a doll head with no body! And I'm not sure that Claudia would like sharing hers. But maybe as a last resort.

More hands and optional ears would be wonderful! I'd love for the "two-SDs-holding-hands" hands to be made available! And more robot ears would be awesome!

 

I love the new MSD girl head. I don't love the ears. If she came with human ears, I'd be all over that. I wonder if they'll make that available?

I'm loving MSD F-22, SD-37, and SD-38!
F-38 reminds me of someone...but I can't get out of my head!

Wow, the F-38 is gorgeous. I love a nice masculine guy, and he looks very mature! No wonder they put him on an SD17 body. I would like to see him on a SD13 body as well though. I will let you know what I think of him after I see him in person at the Sato event!

 

I must agree that the F38 is quite drool worthy- and I don't normally love volks molds. I hope that he isn't Sato exclusive though.. the commission fees.. *shudder*. But perhaps we will get lucky and he'll come to LA and be able to be gotten on a SD17 body- because he deserves to be taller. Either way I will have to keep an eye on him.

Okay Volks has impressed me with the F-38 head mold, what a hunk is right! I'm guessing a price for him would be over $1000+ right?? If is I would not mind saving up for one.

 

Ohh F-37 is really cute and I think she would look great with F-32!! They booth have "anime" styled face. I wonder what would be the odds to find these heads on auction... ?

You can see a one-off F38 on an SD13 boy body -- he looks very good!

 

the f38 issoo pretty i think my yuki and his twin brother hisoka owed by my fiance (both SD mark's) need an older brother and there he is i best get saving :S

 

Oh wow... I know I'm behind on this but I somehow completely missed this information before. F-38 is calling my name... Sadly it'll be some time before I could afford him, but he's definitely going up on my wishlist.

 

Being a Volks n00b, and reading this entire thread, and the FCS thread, and ria_ria's ordering thread...@_@ I want an F-38 now so bad, and sorta get the FCS system, but will the F-38 always be available even after October? Sorry ...I must have already missed this info somewhere..^^;

My friend who went to the event told me that for one of the new MSD F-21 heads there were optional human ears on it, which means for those few people who like the F-21/F-22 but want human ears that option is now available.

I am in love with the MSD F-21~! ! I'm seriously willing to put all of my other doll plans on hold for that head 3 It's perfect!​

 

To clarify, I did see the MSD F-21 and F-22 with human ears, but that was at Sato. The option may not be available at the Sumikas.

 

I was able to see the new FCS heads at the Sato event on Saturday. The F-38 is a handsome and masculine head. He has very "cool" eyes and a sort of soft, carefree experssion that could definitely be made to appear "darker" given the right face-up. He is smiling, which lends to the gentleness but if his eyebrows were painted in an arched position he would appear more cheeky or sinister rather than sincere. He has a thin, pointed nose, smiling-eyes, and a masculine face. They had one done up like a girl and I thought it was way too masculine, even with long hair and softened face-up.

Oh, and he looked just fine on an SD13 boy body.

 

I agree that the F-38 is quite handsome, but his face seemed too narrow to me (like the girl dolls released at LA Dolpa). However, I think for someone who wants an older look to their boy, the F-38 would be great, but he is definately not one of your younger boys.

 

After giving that in-depth description.....I am totally convinced into buying him. He will be my first Volks doll ever... ;.; I really should start saving. btw....another n00bish question...since I'm new to Volks...what is the difference in height between the SD13 and SD17 bodies? Is it a large difference? Sorry if this info is somewhere else.

 

I believe, the two are about 4 cm difference (between the SD13 boys and SD17); which is about 1.5 inches. But my SD13 looks shorter than my SD17 boy by more than 4 cm (maybe mine SD13 not SD13 long legs)

Thank you for sharing the photos TabletopPhantom!!! ^^ He looks really amazing!!! To me...he has a very gentle face, but those eyebrows on him...also make him look a bit more mysterious.

 

I think he looks like Link a little too...maybe his older brother.

I didn't see F-21 or F-22 displayed anywhere at Dolpa, oddly enough. There were displays at Sato, but you couldn't take pictures of them.

Anybody, any idea on what the F-38's head size is? (wondering if he would actually fit in a 8-9 wig 0_o?)

 

At Tenshi no Sato they have, of course, all the FCS heads displayed together, & the F-38 seemed much slimmer than the rest. So yah, DD I think would be no problem, but some of the SD wigs might end up being a little loose.

 

I have a friend whose asked me to order a F-38 for her, so I can try to find out what size wig he takes then.

 

I've found a lot of the newer Volks wigs to be a little bit smaller, more closer to the Dollfie Dream size, than previous wigs. I think this is because a lot of the newer sculpts aren't quite as melon-headed as some of the older models.

Nope, no new bodies just yet, but there are some rumors about what is being released in October. Some people are saying SD17 bodies and others are saying new optional bodies for the SD13 and SD10. Who knows! Guess we will all have to be patient and wait to find out.
