They tried to sub mine for a Tinatsu, so I hit the back button and lost.

 

No longer taking orders. Does anybody know what time the other AE items go up on the 10th?

If you got a reservation number, I would assume that means you've got one.

 

yeah, I got a Kuuta even though I clicked Tinatsu, and then I went back and tried again, and it told me they were unavailable...

Now the pages won't even open for me cause I think we crashed the site...

I got one too!! I checked kuuta and received chinatsu!! In the last second! puh!! Hopefully volks will send me chinatsu and not kuuta! by the way I had to click on kuuta to receive this! I am confused!! I don't think that I can sleep now!!

 

It looks like Volks buggered up their coding - I checked Kuuta and got a page up for Chinatsu. So naturally I clicked back and then they were gone.

BUGGER!!

 

Ten bucks says there's a Kuuta on YJ by eleven.

I had one up for the week after the lottery results came out, and no one contacted me. I think we'll have to wait until they arrive...

At the very least maybe someone will sell me her wig, so I can put it on my Kasumi and pretend she's Tinatsu...

 

I am not sure if I want to use her wig. At first I have to find a new one for her. If I end up selling her you can have it!

 

All you have to do is wait and they will contact you with payment instructions. They will then let you know when she/he ships. Keep in mind this may take a few days. For the Yos it will take until around OCT until they send the email saying they shipped, but you will get your payment instructions long before that.^_^

I for sure will have an extra Chinatsu wig because... NOW FOLLOW THIS...1st I lost the lottery then I mistakenly bought Kuuta on YJ & then decided I'd turn him into my Chinatsu, so found just the wig on YJ & bought that. Then, I decided that wasn't too bright of an idea, so sold Kuuta & won an YJ auction for a Chinatsu for 2X retail and that's my story... thus extra wig!

Yes, it's 6pm west coast time (for me, at least). And if you wanna make sure, just google 'japan time' and google will tell you the current time in Japan.

I think I will not stay up the whole night because of the outfits. If there is the one left I am interested in I will order it. If it's already gone than I don't mind.

I had spoke to Bailey @ the Volks LA tore asking about Dolpa outfits & she said sometime in Oct they may have some of the outfits. Doesn't sound too promising, but you never know!

If you check the blog on the us volks site they said they had some new items (but you had to go looking). I think some of them are these, but not lots.
I will order from volks japan for clothes anyway. I'm in Canada and the US location uses UPS which is a guarenteed extra 40 to cross customs (in addition to any taxes) so its still cheaper (and usually much faster) for me to order from Japan anyway.

I think I had a heart attack when I saw the shipping cost. Good God I forgot how much it was I have been so spoiled on VolksUSA.

 

Yay! Got both the yo-sd outfits and all of the bunny bags except the awake yo-sd one~~ I went to that second after Chinatsu's outfit, it sold out really fast!

Hope everyone got what they wanted!

edit: aww, yeah, I wasn't able to get either of the sailor sets, but it's okay, cause I was aiming for the yo outfits... but is that all you bought Nabee? What I bought amounted to like 18,000 yen, and shipping was like 3,000, which is better than I was expecting...

 

Yeah that is all I bought...the server kept crashing on me then my internet went out!!! Shipping was about 2,500 for my one item. Not too bad, but had forgotten how much it was.
Anyway, after buying Tinatsu I didn't have a lot to spend so I just chose one special thing. My Kaede will look sooooo cute in her new outfit! ^_^

 

Eek! Scary~ yeah, it crashed on me at the very end, when I was doing the credit card part and I freaked out. But persistence paid off. At least it was shopping cart based, unlike the yos yesterday...

Missed out on a couple of SD13 outfits (one between order and confirm) but happy overall. Well, I'd be happier with a little boy but I'm happier today than yesterday!

 

I forgot the sale started at 6:00 and didn't check until 6:30. I got my Chinatsu her outfit (though I almost wish it had been sold out! $75 with shipping! Yikes!!) but I really wanted that white sailor outfit for my SDC. Oh well.

This was definitely a huge splurge (and still, I had to restrain myself from buying Kuuta's outfit, as well, because I love them both!) but I basically never change my doll's clothes so this'll be her one nice outfit ^^;

Also -- it wouldn't take my credit card for some reason so I switched payment method to "other" and got a confirmation number. Do I wait for them to send me something like instructions for IPMO or something? I really do want to pay for this via credit card. Stupid system :/

I think the reason there are some Yo outfits left over is because they are expensive. I mean 6,900 yen isn't bad, but compared to 2,625 for the SDC set it is kinda high. Maybe a lot of people spent all their money on the dolls and didn't have enough left over for pricey outfits either.

 

That does sound like a valid reason. I thought the price wasn't too terrible since the outfit DID come with shoes. Shoes seems to beat me up with pricing all the time so I thought that perhaps much of the price of the outfit was from the shoes hehe. I'm probably wrong though and I'm just trying to convince myself I didn't spend all that money for just a little outfit X3

 

Considering Volks shoes run 4000Y average, it's not bad. Some of Dollheart's Yo outfits are $59 without shoes.

I'm not going to say it's not really expensive (because it is) but everything's expensive in this hobby so it's all relative. Now I'm going to go back to pretending I didn't just spend $500 for a Yo SD with one outfit.

Oh I totally agree that just about everything in this hobby is expensive. Lots of outfits cost way more than what I just paid~ without shoes most of the time. In the end, the cost of what I pay for never really leaves my mind ^^; I hope I don't sound like a rambling fool XP

 

I actually think volks' outfits are a good deal... there aren't many yo-sd sized doll clothes out there I love, and even when I do, they're usually at least $50 and don't include shoes.

Which isn't to say I love all the volks outfits, but I definitely love these two they released, AND the boots, so they're a value for me.

A sign that we do indeed have a very expensive hobby... XD
