Volks Dolpa 32

I had put in for a Charlotte as well, and she was my preferred doll. I like DDs as well but I didn't really care for the two that were offered.

 

I dont think I could ever change liesolette - any of the releases.
For me my dream doll is very much like a little girls dream porcelain doll. Take her out of box and leave her just how she is, because she's already perfect
I could never dream of getting her a new face, wig, eyes, anything. Because I could do that with any doll and change it to what I want.
Shes my dream doll because everything about her is perfect to me, and there is not a single thing I would dream of changing.
So it's a different kind of doll experience in my want for her
She would be mostly a glass case display doll for me. A literal trophy in a way. But a very loved trophy.

I always think the same thing, why can't volks make more dolls ! oh well. Sorry about those that are sad.

I managed to win Lieselotte Email came very late, at about 10pm JST. I had actually given up.

I'm actually relieved I didn't win. We had something in the family come up and suddenly need the extra funds so it worked out for me anyways

 

I'm really sad I didn't win this time. I hope at least Megu will be available later on, on the webstore. :'(

Did you mean that you got the email directly from Volks about your won lottery after the payment deadline?

 

I received the Volks notice today (1/22) at 4:24AM this morning and I paid today. I wouldn't give up, you can never tell if a notice will be sent out for the ones who don't pay on time.

Question: Does anyone else when checking the order status for their lottery entry have a "click here to proceed with payment" next to the item? I need to clarify in that I have not received a email from Volks nor is there one in my spam folder. I've never entered on the International site before so am just confused beyond measure. No do I want to do anything that would jeopardize my account.

Both girls come with order forms for hand options. I think you may need a Japanese address. I'm not sure how that will work for the International lottery winners.

It seems like many disappointments this time too though...
I really wanted to try for Charlotte but couldn't really justify it.

yes, you need a Japanese address. I've tried using shipping proxy that provides you with a japanese address. So you can just fill up the ordering form and choose credit card payment (VISA) and snail mail it back to Volks within the cut-off time stated on the paper. I've done it before for yosd optional hands. However, recently for eg, the yo-Kanata, Rinon and Elena was kind of late to send out to the international winners, by the time the doll gets to me, it is pass the cut-off time. My Neon and Piccolo release was in time to send the order forms.

 

Does anyone think it's extremely slow when you open volks website?

Only very few winners on DoA this time. Usually there are more people here with winning notices. I don't know why, but I have the suspicion that we'll see a lot of dolls being sold from the well-known scalpers on ebay/yahoo over the next weeks.

 

Does anyone happen to know long long it usually takes for Volks to send out dolls after recieving payment for lottery orders? Do they send them after people pay individually or do they usually send them out at one time?

Yeah, I thought maybe I could get Lieselotte through YJA but there's no way I'm paying $2k plus the proxy fees. It's frustrating to watch all these people put the doll you want up for auction as soon as they get it. :/ Hopefully she will be re-released sometime in the future, considering this was the third time they released her.

Hopefully the new dolls arrive soon! It's been a long while since I've been so antsy about a doll.

 

It was a really good feeling to pay for Sasara even if my wallet didn't feel the same way haha. My hubby is as excited about her arrival as I am which makes me smile. Do hope they ship out at the end of the month and there aren't any changes :-D

 

The prices for lieselotte are crazy!!

Unhappily there are always people (mostly rich one I guess?) that are willing to pay such prices, this is also the main reason why they put such prices. I think that few of the sellers are truly BJD collectors...but well, I'm talking out of frustration I guess -.-

 

Not many winners will sell them on market since most of the owners truly want to collect them for themselves. So, only a few or some dolls are put on sales. Due to very high demand and low supply on market, some new owners are willing to pay higher price in order to get them...That's how the economy works. Hopefully, Volks will release these dolls again in the future to meet our demands...

 

During the actual Dolpa, I think I saw a few professional scalpers lurking around with a horde of doll boxes
It's honestly kind of freaky, but it seemed to be a usual thing. The friend I was with during the Dolpa missed the lottery for the doll she wanted, so I think she went right away to the scalpers just to get the doll she really likes. I guess there really is a demand and there's no helping it.

 

Yes, there are definitively scalpers who just buy the dolls to resell them later at higher prices. It's easily made money if you consider it. Buying a doll at 800 USD and reselling it for 2800 USD is a nice income.

 

On the other hand, tomorrow is 28th so some dolls might become available again!

 

Technically today is the 28th in Japan. It'll be 10 am in about 19 min. Still kind of wishful thinking. Trying to not get my hopes up though. T_T

Also was gonna say, there's already 11 Lieselottes on YJ. Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if there's a lot of scalping on this round. I'm extremely disappointed about it though. There's no way I'll ever get her from a scalper for what people are posting her at. T_T

 

I guess Lieselotte attracted more scalpers since she's a popular sculpt and her outfit is super adorable. I'm trying to get her outfit separately since it's the main reason I was drawn to her... Though even that seems to be going pretty high. Still better than paying $2k for the whole thing. I still check my Volks account once in a while hoping to see a status change. Wishful thinking. xP

 

I guess I just don't see that somebody would not pay for a Lieselotte or Charlotte! I would in a heart beat! It will be interesting to see what is left.

 

I got my Melty (renamed Mirielle) today from Japan auction. It only took her 4 days to get to me. So happy to finally have her

Well, my losing lottery tickets are still showing up and they don't say "cancelled". At least not yet! LOL

 

Mine still says "lottery" too... (oh teasing Volks!)

And none of the dolls are listed on the Limiteds page, as of this moment...

 

I wonder if this has anything to do with how they said that this After Event would differ from their previous ones. On the event page itself, it states that Tenshi no Sato orders may pay for their dolls on the 25th, 26th, and 30th. Perhaps they're waiting until after the physical lotteries finish before shipping out to the website winners.

 

Yes my lottery order is still in the cart also just checked. But no way to check out of course !

 

My order doesn't say "cancelled" yet either. And I have yet to see the limited page update... :/
