Volks Doll's Party 25 (GW Tokyo Dolpa) will be 4/30/2011

Aw, thanks! That puts my hopes up. I've won Lieselotte through Volks but lost on SD17 Williams, so maybe it's winning turn? XD *not making sense*

I hope we all get our dollies through Volks! ;3;

 

I lost for Victorique through KL and WLD.... but it's okay, because I'd decided against her anyway. Congrats to everyone who won, and is still in the running.

 

Have you heard from WLD that you didn't get Victorique?

I put in for Kujo through KL and WLD, and I didn't win through KL. He's such the perfect boy, I hope I get lucky enough through WLD.. I wasn't able to enter the Volks lottery directly, so I have my fingers crossed for WLD. I'm anxious to find out.

No I didn't hear through WLD yet but I just figured lol. I thought I'd hear from both the same day I guess, and not hearing made me think it was a no. lol

I'm super excited that I'll be able to catch another After Event in Tokyo! Just have to decide which Sumika to go to on Saturday morning. @-@ I hope I have enough of my budget left for an outfit at least. It's going to feel like last time- the event line cleared, the shop was empty again, three cute Luna's just sitting there on the shelf and me with no reason to buy one. .___. I am really hoping that doesn't happen with Kujo.

 

If you`re in Tokyo, I personally suggest the Harajuku SR for clothes. They have the most quantities. If you hate the crowd, the Ikebukuro SR. If you pull a lucky enough number, you`d probably be able to buy things.

 

Congrats to everyone that has one thus far, and fingers crossed to everyone else that they win during the Volks lottery!!! Mika, you HAVE to win a Kujo somehow, we would have the best photoshoots ever with our pair! Huge fingers crossed!

Some places are better stocked in certain items. Yokohama and Akihabara are well known to be stocked well on DD-items, Harajuku is known to stock well on SD-clothes. Other places will have different things. You really wouldn`t be able to tell from visiting the stores pre-after event; items that are left-over from previous events can be pulled in from different SR`s, so just because they have stuff in stock doesn`t mean that they had it left over in their SR/Sumika since last dolpa.

And to note, Certain areas also have scalpers. Ikebukuro SR is known for DD-scalpers, while Akihabara SR is known for SD-scalpers.

St.James, your Luna comment made my tummy drop. I cannot imagine anyone leaving (not buying) a Luna and never mind two. I just love Luna, and have totally fallen for Lorina/Alice. I cannot wait to see what Volks comes out with next. Have a fab time at the event!

 

I know this is kind of a stupid question, but what does WLD stands for? I'm always looking for dealers who sell Volks stuff.

Unfortunately, I'd be another of those people, while she's cute, I wouldn't buy her for myself. (And the only temptation would be to buy her to resell, but I wouldn't do that kind of thing)

That is actually really useful to know as I'll be in Japan this summer! Is there any other stores known for SD (or MSD/SDC) clothes?

 

kokoryta-Radio Kaikan is scheduled to close at the end of July to be rebuilt but I don't know when the Volks, Azone, or the other doll accessories stores in the building will be moving. You might be lucky enough to be there for the opening of the new Akiba location. It was built in the 1950s so its not exactly earthquake safe.

Thanks! I entered the lottery for two dolls through VolksUSA. I heard people entering the lotteries through several different venues to up their chances in winning the lottery, so I'm always on a look out for other Volks retailers.

LOL that is hilarious! Congrats Abel I had a feeling as Volks has been pretty generous at the last few Dolpa's. Minus with all those who lost with Una I have yet to see one on the board.

I saw Gosick anime and I love the character, and when I saw that Volks was releasing her I HAD to get her. T^T And she's already expensive second-hand, so I'm relieved to get her directly from Volks! My GF won for Neris through Volks. That means that come August, we'll have 5 dolls already, unless we end up with more in the meantime!

Since it said august on VolksUSA I'm a bit curious since I haven't found anything of the sort. Want to ask here before I mail Volks about it.

Sent a mail to Volks asking anyways, since I really want to be sure when I can be expecting them.
I actually didn't expect to win both. I felt like I really wanted Victorique but kinda maybe could do with out Kujo (but of course hoping for him to). But also it would feel wrong to have the "golden fairy/grey wolf" without "the reaper" at her side.

 

i also didnt expect get both dd airy and neris at same time...but i was told by volks they will sent as soon after 21st may..

 

It seems with the past history of remaining stocks of limited dolls from the past few dolpas. they are letting more winners in for lottery.

My DD Neris (from the international lottery) is in the country already o_0. Canadian customs which is 1 hour from me has her .

 

Looks like DD Neris and Airy and also SD13B Kujo now available just for sale at Volks Japan

 

Everything except Victorique.... sigh... missed out Int Lotto and Japan Lotto for her....

 

Wow so many more dolls are available after the lottery now. DO you think they are making more, or less people are buying at Dolpa and entering for the lottery?

 

I thinl people are cancelling on them after the lottery. You are not suppose to do that but people do it all the time.

 

We were at the Harajuku Sumika on Thursday when they were putting out the stock for the AE, and the dolls were delivered while we were there. I counted eight Kujos and when we came back on Saturday afternoon they were letting present customers know that they were going to play janken for a Kujo that had had a cancellation. Of the clothing, only the boys outfits had sold out.

 

DP 25 dolls expected to arrive early July. Kerbey Lane will be sending invoice notices out soon to those getting a doll from us.

I was at Volks USA yesterday, and they said that the dolls (at least the DDs, but I assume all of them) were downstairs in shipping containers as we spoke, but they couldn't give us ours. They mentioned that they individually inspect and check each doll before shipping, which is why it takes so long to get them out, but hopefully they'll go out this week.

Nothing yet, am hoping it's today. Volks has been swamped with stuff so we need to be patient. HA - that being said by a consumed Volksaholic.
