Volks Doll's Party 25 (GW Tokyo Dolpa) will be 4/30/2011

I hope there's no 17...I hope there is too XD....
My wallet is still suffering from major draining damage last year x_x...It needs time to heal up and to regain its' weight XD

Alright since I didn't want anything from the Kyoto Dolpha here's to hoping that I want someone from this one!

 

so there are now 4 events from volks coming up! o.o wow...

 

Anxious for this Dolpa! Kyoto's line up didn't interest me.. I wonder what they'll have in store for us?

I predict an all-boy Dolpa for this event although I´d like some tempting like SD10-SD16 girls...well, we will see.

Not interested in the events dolls because I can`t afford to buy a doll while over there, but I thought I`d be missing out. It`s just one of those things I promised myself I`d do some day

Of course, I was hopelessly tempted by that one one-off I saw in Harajuku last time I was there, so who knows what might happen if I see a doll I fall in love with on sight.

 

I have a feeling Volks will release more than one doll that I will fall in love with. Kind of hoping I will be safe though...

I am really looking forward to this dolpa. I predict more YoSD this time around! I love that with Volks dolpas there is always something to look forward to throughout the year.

 

They haven't done those in YEARS. And now with Haute Doll (???) gone I doubt they will have NY Dolpa again. Infact it seems the events in the US have ground to a halt. I found it surprising there was no event at all for the Torrence store's 5th anniversery even.

 

Haute Doll never sponsored events; FDQ (Fashion Doll Quarterly) was the one behind the NY Dolpas, and that magazine is still around -- in January they offered an exclusive Ami Ayase! But so far I haven't heard if there will be a NY Dolpa this year.

As for Volks USA in Torrrance -- if they have functions, THEY have to do the bulk of the work to make it happen, and right now the economy isn't favoring that. I'm sure glad I took advantage of the last mini-event the Torrance store held, in Nov. 2009 (a face-up class, with little bonuses -- like Sei and Rei Tenshis! ).

 

OK that' the magazine! I don't follow them. I just heard something about doubt as to more Dolpas. Also there is a dedicated crew in San Diego who would LOVE to help Volks throw another event. They'd have all the volunteers they needed.

 

There was a Dolpa last year (2010) in NY (I was at that one) and there are smaller events in CA (like the class offered in November 2010). FDQ was the magazine that sponsered the events in NY and like beamlette stated, they actually just realeased a limited doll in conjunction with Volks last month. There are VolksUSA events and thankfully they have not come to hault yet. I am crossing my figners for another NY Dolpa soon (but no one really knows if that will happen), but at least there are still smaller events (such as the FDQ limited last month).

 

My guess is this will be the event where the SDGr girl debuts.

But it'll be exciting regardless!

 

Now just to save for the inevitable.

I'll be there as early as I can get there. I'm flying back into Japan at 6am, so once I drop off my luggage at my hotel, then I'm off to Tokyo Big Sight. Realistically, it probably still won't be until 9am unless my flight gets in super early (still have to go through customs and get into Tokyo from Narita - that's at least two hours). But I'll be rushing. Large Japanese lines don't scare me. I've done the Tokyo Anime Fair >.<

For people living over there/there for a while, the traditional Harajuku Dolpa Week kyoushitsu is happening April 29th. The MSD kits are Miichan/Taachan, while the heads are School A and School D.

I've got no irons in the fire for any dolpas this year (no money, can't buy a thing) so I'll hope for Luna, because so many people have hoped for her for so long.

Although new sculpts are always welcome, too; I'm assuming whenever the SDGr girl comes out, it will be with a new sculpt. That's how the boys started.

 

I want Luna!!! Or another amazing sd girl!!!! Please volks please!!!

Yes, we probably won't get any news of the limiteds and such until early or mid April. That is how it usually goes.

 

As usual, I'm hoping for some adorable, frilly girl dolls!!! Whether or not I'll have the money to get them is another story!

I've been waiting for them to do more Yo versions. Even just more Yo versions of standards would be awesome, but Tokyo Boys would also be full of win in Yo-size.

I don't know what I expect from this Dolpa except maybe the SDGr girl, but as always I'm excited to see what Volks comes up with.

 

I think I'll only be doomed if they re-release a SDC Renee. I've been charmed by her forever

 

I'd actually like to see new sculpts. I dunno, all of the rereleases always strike me as Volks resting on their laurels a bit to draw in money with sure hits instead of branching out. You can always tell when they've had a couple of Dolpas that didn't do so well because a rerelease of an older, popular sculpt always comes soon after.

Not that I don' want them to profit or blame them for going to standbys, but it is nice to see new dolls from them.

I'd like to see a new sculpt as well, as an SDGr girl. I've always loved how the SDGr body is proportioned and jointed, but I'm not one for boy dolls. I would love to see those kind of joints (from Volks) on a girl!

 

I'm counting the days to see what Volks releases this time around. I'm hoping for a MSD girl!!!!!

Yo-SD versions of their most popular limited dolls? Like Williams and...that's the only one I know is popular because I fail. Or Yo versions of popular FCS molds? I want a tiny (SD) F-17!

Yo-SD Jewels? OMG I want a YoSD Ruby. A tan/sunlight Yo-SD...I guess they'd be more likely to release her at the NYC Dolpa though. But a sunlight Yo would be sweet!

 

I would snatch one up in a heart beat! Since they released Yo versions of the standard SDs, I think it be so cute if they released Yo versions of the standard MSDs

 

I'm so glad I am not the only one this thought has occurred to! I hope Volks will indeed do that some day in the future. They made an SD Ken & Mika, why not a YoSD set, too?
