Volks Doll's Party 25 (GW Tokyo Dolpa) will be 4/30/2011

OK, I thought that I was safe from this Dolpa...but after getting another look of Victorique on the Dolpa site, I really (REALY) like her. Oh nos! I knew this would happen, I bought my first girl ever, and now I have opened the floodgates for cute girls. Does anyone know if she is on a suwarikko body?

 

Amora- She's got you now! There's no escape. And no, unless I read wrong, she's just on a normal SD girls body.

 

No, that is actually a good thing. I think she would have completely gotten me if she was on a suwarikko body. Whew! I think I may be safe. I just need to stop going on the Dolpa site!

 

Kind of a shame, since in the anime she's always depicted as sitting on the floor.

 

OMG! I love the new pics of Victorique. I like seeing Kujo better too! He's really cute. He's growing on me, but I definitely can't afford them both! lol... I think Kujo would be the cutest girl!

 

It is a shame, that is exactly what I was thinking!

 

I wish I was super rich. Then I'd buy them both and the DDs. lol....

 

Seriously. I knew I was screwed from the blurry first pics of this girl, and I hadn't even heard of the anime! But that boy is so darn adorable too. If I could justify getting them both I would!

 

I would seriously think more about getting Kujo if he had more of an upper lip. other than that he's GORGEOUS! But Victorique is perfect.

 

I was sure that I'm %100 safe from this dolpa but after I saw clear pictures of Kujo, I think I'm not >_<"
he looks like a grown up version of Hinata which made me love him more

 

Victorique is on a normal body..!? Well, that's a disappointment. Not that it makes much of a difference since I'm more or less dead set on getting both her and Kujo. I don't know how I'll afford both, or how I will find space for them, but I guess I'll make it somehow.

 

oh my...after finally seeing the photos, Kazuya is such a cutie! Love that face. I love both him and Victorique, gorgeous limiteds this time volks ^___^

 

I've changed my mind. I want Victorique AND Kujo! I will buy Kujo on the aftermarket, because I can't afford them both right now, but I definitely will get them both.

 

If I happen to be in Tokyo the week of the after event it's going to be really really hard not to try to bring home a Kujo...for no reason whatsoever. XD

Is he officially called Kazuya or Kujo or both?

 

Well, the character's name is Kujo Kazuya, so technically you can go with either or both.

 

Yep Kim's right. I believe Kujo is his last name and Kazuya his first (or did I get that backwards.)
I'm trying really hard to resist wanting him now too. If I were to see him in person and have a chance to get him right there that might be too much temptation. I wouldn't blame you!

I cant make it to Dolpa anymore! Im so dissapointed, I have been planning my trip to Japan for over a year now and a month before and I have to cancel. I wanted so much to try for kujo!!!!

 

I'm so sorry Alyssium! Somehow I never manage to time my trips to Japan to coincide with a Dolpa, but I'm not much for waiting around outdoors anywhere...

Wow, Victorique is expensive. She is more than Lieselotte was. I am definitely out now. She is quite adorable. Her outfit is amazing. I am gonna just hold out and hope they release SD Alice here in the US. Kujo is really cute too. I am glad I do not collect boys because I think I would have to have him. I love that wig. I agree, Victorique is expensive. Especially the fact that she has an SD old body not swarikko body just turns me off.

 

Yeah, I was afraid that she would be that expensive... it seems that they bump up the price for their SD anime character dolls. I remember that the Rozen Maidens were about that much too and they were the old type SD bodies (well, with exception of Suigintou and Hina Ichigo who were SD13 and YoSD respectively).

 

Lieselotte is on the swarriko body and had the BTSSB outfit and her base price was $968. So I was really thinking she would be the same. Volks USA charges us in CA 9.75% tax on top of that figure, then add in shipping, which is why I am whining lol

I have Suiseiseki, I bought her second hand and she did not have her outfit So getting Victorique is worth it if your going to get her in the future and would really like a full set. Her price will just rise and you risk having to buy splits. I bought my Sui body, box, paper work separate from her head and I still have not managed to her her default outfit and wig. I do wish they would do another SD-13 body but sadly I dont see if happening any time soon.

 

Its probably the licencing that ups the price in this case.

Oh, the DD prices are actually lower than I expected. Last time I checked the exchange rate, Neris was $640, so $594.00 is not so bad at all. I think the previous DD Beatrice was $605.

 

I'm really starting to fall for Kujo and normally I don't like such baby faces. When I first saw him I said I was safe ...but he is melting me now. I have to see how I am going to pull this one off.....

 

I may have to just sell a couple of my dolls to afford Victorique. I need her so much lol she's such a perfect mold. Whatever it takes, I'm getting her. Even if it means selling everything I love lol. Although, I'd never sell my Charlotte or my Elena.

 

I've been watching Gosick and Victorique is really appealing to me now!

Do you think the US dealers are taking orders for this Dolpa?

 

I agree with Chehime, it is most likely the licensing that is upping the price. But for those who really love this anime/manga, I am sure it is worth it to see and have their beloved characters in dollfie form. And Kujo is so so so cute!

We Love Dolls, Kerbey Lane they both take layaway although it is short term it is better than paying in full with Volks. Plus they are both really awesome stores and have great reps who are on DoA and are really helpful. Check each site since I believe they are both different on what amount they require down and how long you can stretch your payments.
You can enter all three lotteries here and if you win from one they cancel your order with the other so everyone gets a chance.

I wrote an email to both shops and received a confirmation email back from WLD with instructions for entering the lottery with them. KL sent an auto email confirming they received my request and would get back to me.
