Good heavens! So many wondered dolls and clothes!!!!! I need.... to become RICH. Will these items be available on the US website?

 

With the exception of dolls made from some licensed characters, I'm pretty sure it'll all be offered in a limited amount on the US website in a lottery like manner. (None of these are such characters this time)

The SD16 girl flat feet are much smaller than the SD and SD13 girl feet. I know this because I have a SD16 girl and a SD girl. I even have a DD. I usually keep my SD16 girl with the flat feet and it is difficult to find shoes for her. The SD and SD13 girl shoes do fit, but are sometimes too loose for my tastes- it all depends on the shoe's design. I play around with shoes though and found that my SD16 girl can fit some DD shoes and even some MSD shoes too.

 

I wonder if it would be possible to buy the optional parts SD feet on the website then and use those. I wonder if they would fit into the ankle joint.

It looks like the hands are different though if you look at other comparison pictures So give me your opinion on the hands too if you can. A lot of exciting things happening for Volks this December! I can't wait to see when they will announce the USA Lottery. I wonder if it is before or after Dolpa is held?

 

SD16 girl hands are different from the SD hand parts and they cannot share hands because of the size differences of the wrist ball. I am pretty sure you'll run into the same issues trying to swap feet.

VolksUSA usually runs their Dolpa entries concurrent with the actual Dolpa event over a period of a few days to get your online entries in.

 

Having seen the clearer pics of Daria...I don´t know, she looks so mature and sophisticated in the pics. Not very much the type I go for. She seemed much cuter in the blurry cellphone pics. In fact like a whole different doll XD.
Maybe it´s because the greenish-blue eyes with the brown wig don´t suit her very well (in my opinion).
Just not sure about this doll at all >.>

 

Daria (Dahlia?) is sooo beautiful!!! I would so try to get her if she were an SD13 instead of an SD16! Good luck to everyone who wants this gorgeous girl!!!

Tanpopo really is adorable, but I get the feeling that I'm not meant to have her just yet. Hopefully I won't regret it later, but I'll be sitting this Dolpa out doll-wise.

The outfits are so cute!!! My favorite is the MSD Girl outfit from the Black Label Collection. It would be perfect for my Mi-chan!!!

My favourite outfit is the high school uniform for SD16

 

Correct me if I am wrong pls, but if trying for two dolls (Williams & yosdb) you must use same credit card and only one order, or is it two orders with same credit card???? I read on Volks page you must use same credit card for both dolls but don't know if I have to do 2 seperate orders. My poor credit card.

 

I'm in the same boat as you. However, IMHO, to me it seems like Volks doesn't take the best promotional pictures... meaning that their dolls are ALWAYS 100% better in person. I'm worried that if I don't get Daria I may regret it horribly later... but she does look very mature and sophisticated.

I think you have to put in for all of the dolls you want on one Volks order. Maybe you could wait and order the Yo boy from a Volks dealer, which would allow you to use a second credit card. Good luck on getting the dolls you're wishing for!

Thank you so much Julie!!!! The exchange rate is so awful right now, I won't even think of going to YJ for the Yo boy, so I may have to go to a Volks dealer like you suggested. Must start saving right away!!!!!

 

Does Volks put the event information up on the english international site?

 

^.^ glad it´s just not me. I think she is just a real SD16 with a mature and more realistic look (a bit like the EIDs from Iple).
I am sure this doll will make people happy here but I am definatley sure I will have to pass.
Maybe I will go for Tanpopo but a YoSD wasn´t planned- so maybe this will be my first dollpa this year that I will not attend >.<

 

I think you can make a separate order for another doll. Say you purchase Williams that could be one order with the first credit card. Then say you order Ayumu you can make a separate order and use another credit card. So technically it doesn't have to be one credit card for all dolls if you do separate orders. Unless the rules recently changed to having to do all at once orders. Before my understanding was that you enter individual order for each item. But yes you aren't able to use 2 credit cards on one item on volks.

 

Awwwww- those little EGL Yo clothes are so cute!! I think I may put in for them at the Volks USA lottery.

 

Hey I was actually reading the lottery rules on the VolksUSA site from August (hometown dolpa Osaka 6) . It said that you have to place all your items in the cart and then check out. Unless I am wrong, the rules said that you can't place multiple orders from the same person or it will be cancelled.

I believe that is in reference to placing multiple orders for the same item. Different items may be acceptable or they may not. The best thing would be to email VolksUSA and ask them ^_^

 

Yes. I think I will email them and ask if i can do two seperate oders, one for each doll and use two different cards.

 

Those clearer pictures make me want Tanpopo even more! With the holidays coming around I hope I can save up enough for her in time!

They do. There may be a bit of a backlog as there is just one person doing the translating

 

The International site won't have any items offered until the After Event, which happens a few weeks after the dolpa, so I wouldn't expect anything on the site until at least December.

Totally agree! I wonder how much this re-release will drive down the current prices of 2nd hand Williams. There are a few fullest sd17 Williams for bidding on yahoo japan now at only 168000 yen! A never seen price for a long time!

I was wondering..Is there generally a better chance of getting the boy YOSD over the girl one (since it seems the girl one is more popular)?

 

The girls are not always more popular. Kakeru sold out before Chika did for the last Tokyo Dolpa, and I know Piccolo will sell for more than Anne will, and on and on. The Yo's are usually the last to sell out and they have been making a lot of them it seems anymore, so I would say put in for the one you like because you're prob going to win it in the lottery.

Wow, I have never seen a SD-17 Williams for less that $3000 US. I am not into the boys only girls. But the person who posted about Kakeru and Chika is correct. I got my Chika by default, (someone didnt pay and I was on the wait list) what is funny is Chika and Kakeru are the same mold, just one is a boy and one is a girl.
I am waiting for Luna to be re-leased again. But the outfits are to die for.

 

normally i am into girl yo sd's but i need one boy since i all ready have a girl and angel, so need a boy to complete the group. though i technically have kakeru but i am not sure of his sculpt. he overall looks good just the lips bother me so much. In this re-release i think Ayumu looks better in terms of face up and hair than Tanpopo imho. In the last release I thought Tanpopo was better than Ayumu. I am glad Ayumu looks good this time around, then at the same time...poor bank...XD. For my one off williams I paid $2800, and for the longest time i have been trying to get him an sd17 body, yup now they made two combination that i like, williams and sd17.

 

I'm so glad Tanpopo is being re-released!~ Its funny because when Jess put her Tanpopo on the marketplace originally I wanted to buy her but someone else beat me to it T_T!

Just curious if anyone has been able to translate William's story yet in this release, if there is one or unless I'm missing it here? Someone very kindly translated Reisner's story over in the cruise thread but I haven't seen any translation for William's yet. If anyone could translate, that would be terrific, many thanks!

He's not being released at the Dolpa. He's being released on a later cruise.

Question, I've caught bits of the story translation, but does anyone know where I can read the story thus far?

 

Forgive me if I sound like a total noobcake, but I'm assuming this Dolpa is in Japan only? Been trying to figure out when the Dolpa in California is going to take place next; but from what I read/hear is they announce that on their USA website.

I wouldn't expect a California Dolpa, though. The ones outside of Japan tend to be in New York and Seoul only.

A rough translation but, what it says on the Volks page is:

Chasing the shadow of a ship, the young officer Williams's heart aches. (The literal phrasing is "chest hurts", but that just makes it sound like he's having a heart attack *snerks*.)

 

So Cecile is captain of the Blackjack, and Williams really is still wangsting about him but is now actively searching for him.

I really wish they would turn this into a manga.

I think VolksUSA will hold true in always holding the After Event sales like they usually do (I wouldn't doubt Volks getting their money twice at both there and here after-all XD), but if not...
