Personally for me it wasn't too bad- and that's with one thumb immobilized. Volks in general does a really good job proving tricks to get the outfit on. I didn't have to take her hands off either- which I'm sure would of made it even smoother. The hardest part was the shoes since the pearls connect with a very little s-hook/frog situation with not much room to work. But that might of mostly been my thumb getting in the way.

That said I took mine out of it as soon as I had pictures! That whole outfit is made of material that would get damage and show damage very easily. Sadly I missed out on a less frilly outfit for her from Volks T_T so right now she's in her panties, stocking and shoes, and one of my boys dress shirts! lol

 

Hip hip hooray!! After all these years of waiting, the time has finally come for Williams to arrive at my doorstep and thankfully, I was on the porch just as the delivery man arrived First off, I wanted to congratulate you essiekl on your beautiful new girl...her face is perfection and I must concur about that wig looking spot on! I took only a couple of pics of Williams today because it's raining cats and dogs but wanted to share at least one because I'm so excited, thankfully the rain wasn't pouring too close to us...there's no way I'm getting his lush gorgeous velvet coat wet!

 

Oh Roweena! He is so gorgeous! Just look at those eyes! That hair.... that jacket...it's all good and yummy.

 

Hey there luluna dearie and thank you!! His jacket really is SO luxurious (much more than I expected which is a nice suprise), his coppery hair is super silky compared to a lot of other wigs I have and so pretty and don't even get me started on those dreamy blue as the sea eyes his

 

Congratulations Roweena! Volks outfits are good at being nicer than expected~ I hope your Williams fit right in.


I just realized that there is no Daria database!! Does any new Daria owners have suggestions?
I was thinking Darling Daria or Dreaming of a Darling Daria or something? I'd be willing to set it up- but I didn't want to choose a name all the other Daria owners would cringe at >_>;;

Thanks so very much Bird of Hermes and snowleopard!! I would love to see a Daria in person now especially after seeing owner pics...I'm not an owner but can't wait to see more photos of that beautiful girl in your thread once it gets started!

Ahhh so my Williams came today from KLDS but my mailman decided it was easier to not knock on my door and just leave a package pick up note gah @_@. So I'll be picking him up from the post office tomorrow on the bright side. Congrats to everyone else getting their lovelies home

I am still beyond bummed that if you purchased your Williams form a dealer, we could not purchase the extra hands

 

MY Williams arrived today. Or rather I had to pick him up at the Post Office...and it was strange...only two cars in the lot and no line. Anyhow...got him home and played with him.

He was still hung over from the voyage and says "Hi" to all his travel pals.
And was still singing,"Yo ho ho and a Bottle of Rum"... right out of the box.



And Roweena you are right the clothes are so well made. I really like the shirt. It is very finely woven and lovely.

 

Oh luluna that is SO GREAT you got your beautiful boy and what luck, hardly a line at the post office!! That's a really nice pic of him too looking oh so romantic and perhaps a tad whoozy from a little too much of the ol' rum though what are our officers of the Imperial Navy thinking hehe...well the journey was long! The clothes are really top notch for sure I can't wait for more photos

Horatio, my Williams was delivered yesterday! Much later than usual because the mail lady's truck broke down. *laughs* And can I just say... I hate the hot glue that Volks uses in their eyes! I spilled Mr. Color thinner all over my jeans and ruined them trying to get my boy's eyes out.

But at least Horatio is free to change eyes now. XD

So this Saturday, I had to work and I missed the FedEx delivery of Williams (oh nooooos ). But I asked FedEx if I can do a pick up for today. So, if all goes well, I will be able to pick him up today .

The only thing that kills me is that his wig, once tried on, looked awful on him I just hate that! I always seem to have this issue. So he is borrowing Aki's wig for the time being until I can make it over to Volks to try on some wigs. But Eli really is love

I also think long dark hair is smexy, plus I also got the musket plus two hands home on Friday. And put it to use right away on Fabian, who's the one with the SD17 body now. This is what my niece came home to on the computer chair . . .

. . . to much hilarity. I rather wish either Williams or Reisner was a lefty, though!

Oh, yeah, and for a brief while I was worried that the musket hand would be like the LUTS Abadon hand and not seem to actually work for its intended purpose, but once I figured out the angle the musket goes into the hand, it fits easily and perfectly into it.

 

Timid...the musket hand looks great! And so does your boy holding it.

 

Your Williams is awesome and the musket is awesome. I don't have any boy dolls yet, but Williams is the first one that I have really gravitated towards. He has a wonderful face. Congratulations!

Thanks . Just to be clear, though, the lad in the picture is a Maki Tsuyoshi, although he has stolen the Williams body, and now hand and musket . . .

Williams is really a special sculpt, though. It wouldn't surprise me if he could convince you to start collecting boys!

ETA: Although my Williams took these eyes, originally ordered for Fabian, so maybe fair is fair?

Until I can order him his own Mystics, he'll make do with these. His eyes are supposed to be hazel, but still, I do love matching hair and eyes . . .
