I guess the head is still SD17 version and not SD13 version since the body is SD17.

2 Williams release this year. At first I misread and thought it says SD17 Williams White Christmas version LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

It's hard to tell from the pic but it does look more like SD17 Williams head to me.

It makes no sense to make him SD17 if he's supposed to be an ensign, since that would be when he was still young and dewy eyed and not feeling betrayed over Cecile's turn to a life of piracy.

For me, he does look the same as SD17 cruise version with different outfit. The face up looks very much the same. I hope I will be able to get him at the event this year. Must start buying the guidebooks now.

 

Oh my god! It's already time for another doll party!? O.O I just paid off my Ran and Charlotte is coming home in 4 days. I'm already poor enough. At least from looking at the mobile pics I think I am safe.

I feel happy I already have SD17 Williams from the cruise, but the yo's are so darn cute. I may have to put in for the girl one. Oh, now I can't wait to see the outfits. I bet they will be wonderful!

A third Williams in 14 months? D8 Is Volks trying to kill me? I just finally gave in and bought my girlfriend and I a Lucas we've been wanting for ages cause we figured there was zero chance there would be another Williams so soon.

 

Eh kind of dissapointed that we are only getting 1 new DD and the other is a 2nd Alna release... would have preferred a new girl instead and they could have sold the new Alna outfit seperatly.
At least Saber Lilly looks like a new sculpt, but she will most likely cost around 1000$ going by how much the original Saber was... so unless she has the most beautiful DD face ever I probably won't get...

Can't wait to see the new outfits and accessories though!

 

Any news on whether there will be a SD10 or SD13 girl. That is all I am interested in right now.

 

ugh not much choice for DDs....I certainly can't afford a saber release (and no way do I want the DDdy body!)

This one's face looks kind of chubbier, in my opinion. He does look younger, I think.

 

I hope williams is SD17, I would love to get him! and I want to see more pictures of SD16 Dahlia too

 

I have no interest in Williams since I've never really much liked him as a doll. The storyline fills me with such amusement though.

I would like more pics of Dahlia/Daria though. I like what I am seeing of the head, even though I really don't want another SD16 girl. *feels the genderbending itch*

 

Phew! I think I might be safe!!! Dahlia is beautiful, but I'm not ready to get a big girl yet. Tanpopo is sooo cute!!! She might be my only temptation this Dolpa. I can't wait to see the clothes and accessories too!!!

 

Are the SD17 and the SD13 Willams head sculpts different?

 

They are indeed different. It is confirmed 100%.

 

Hmmmm... I've been after a Williams for years but I'm just tired of the mad cramble of actually TRYING to get Volks' dolls. I also like the SD13 Williams better, not that the sculpts are hugely different. But honestly, I'll pass. On all of them.

 

It seems like volks is producing more dolls now based off of the recent dolpa girls number!!

These sculpts are way to mature looking for my taste. Only doll I would go for now is Luna.

This is the first time I've really paid any attention to Volks release news (usually I'm a slowpoke and only find out about stuff after the fact. lol) Noooo~ I've been wanting to get a Yo. ; n ; And another Williams!? Volks is really trying hard to lure me in this time. Hmmm I'll have to really stare down my savings the next week or so. Maybe my ignorance of how to go about buying Volks LEs will save me from spending. XD;

 

I'm safe from this Dolpa! I was worried they'd release another sexy SDGr boy or new SD17, but a Williams I'm safe from. I'm happy for everyone who's been lusting after a Williams for so long though.

 

Dahlia/Daria is definitely a different sculpt than Madoka. The mouth and nose are completely different. She actually looks like an older version of Liesellotte, I think.

 

Omg! Just heard news from sadomina that volks releasing Williams again! Is he confirmed to be sd17?! Omg! I'm quite doomed and it doesn't help that I'm kinda broke and that the yen is freaking expensive!

A noobie qn.. Can a non-us person enter the USA volks lottery?

 

I have a noob question on that too! where is the dolpa? and can we poor unfortunate colonials expect to have a chance of the lottery? (Australia, for example?)

 

Hi Jo77, unfortunately You cannot. But there usually is an international AE too where You can participate. It is a lottery too.

this dolpa is held in Tokyo. So You can go there or participate in the international After Event (lottery on the Volks international homepage). Then there is the aftermarket (usually with highly inflated prices) e.g. on Yahoo Japan, ebay or the marketplace.

 

TAT;; Damn those long lost relatives. We are never spared when Willy's are involved aqua... Why Volks why??? Alas...no expendable dolls either. Why must I love everyone at the moment. XDD

 

Ohh!! I have never participated in any volks lottery. I usually pay my jap agent but yen is so strong now. Is the international AE in usd dollars or jpy yen?

Lastly, if I attend the dolpa personally, does it mean I get to buy Williams straight at the dolpa without going thru a lottery?

Thanks crystalenchantress... I am looking at flights now! Would be cheaper than the aftermarket lol! I have the same question as Jo - if one attends the event, can one just expect to buy a Williams? or is that still a lottery situation? I see the guide books up for sale - is there an english version of that page?

 

Even at the Dolpa itself, getting a doll is a lottery. And involves getting there around dawn and standing in lines for most of the day. You essentially stand in line to draw a number that then determines your order in the line to buy things. You then stand in that line and pray the item you want does not sell out before you get to the front. You are not guaranteed a doll, and with Williams being released, I expect this Dolpa will draw a lot of attendees wanting him.

Oh wow... another Williams release!? Good grief. O.o *ponders* I wonder what chance there is of me trading my SD13 Williams for the SD17 re-release... I'm pretty much a "One-Williams" girl... but I wouldn't mind getting him a taller set of legs. Haha! I'm not entirely surprised, though. Volks always seems to pull out all the stops for the December Dolpa. Dahlia/Daria also looks lovely - I can't wait to see more pictures of her. *excites!*

 

Pretty much excited with everyone else for the Williams release! It looks like a SD17 version of the original SD13 Williams too, since the the cloak and pin look similar to the SD13 version. Also, his lips look as orange as the original SD13 Williams too.

And I love Dariya/Dahlia from the preview photos! From the closeup photo, she reminds me a lot of Peggy Bundy (Katey Sagal) from Married with Children. lol.

 

Okies, I am safe from the SD16 girl (she is super pretty though, just not my style), but I adore Williams! I know I shouldn't try for him ( I just received 2 new Volks dolls last month), but I really want him. I also really like the Yos. I am not sure what to do!

 

Oh....I may pass on this Williams since I already have SD13 and SD17 Williams. I thought I read younger SD version LOL
