The D’coord models are up for VolksUSA! They are so adorable. So question, are the mochi-ashi bodies a similar size to the DearSD body?

 

The mochi-ashi body is the same size as the MDD body. It uses the exact same torso and arms as the MDD body. The only difference is that the legs are thicker.

 

I might try for the DDH 11 or 21 (the 09 is cute too)...if we don't get any Elsa pics in the next couple weeks.

 

I have a question for those with knowledge of older DD frames. Is the original Dynamite frame it's own frame system or is it just the normal DDII frame but with a different shell? I know the torso and bust is completely different but I'd really like to know if I buy a torso and bust of a regular DDII, can I switch them out with the torso and bust on my original DDdy?

EDIT: I'd also like to ask if anyone here happens to have a hyrbid original DDdy. I know some people like to play around with different busts on different dolls and I even found a tutorial for how to put a modded DD bust on a DDdy but it was for the III frame ones so I don't know if the same would work for the II. I'm not really looking into those peachy pai busts or ones like those as I want a smaller bust option.

EDIT AGAIN: So I actually did some digging on Doll Dreaming and found the answer to my questions. DDII torso can't go on the DDdy because the DDdy legs are too different BUT it is possible to mod a DDII bust onto a DDdy. And Volks has the S bust still available for the DDII. Gonna see about ordering one of those!

 

Heads are restocked periodically, but 09 is a popular one and sells out kinda fast!

Hi! Does anyone know if DDH-15 is available at Dolls Point? I was hoping to go in the summer to get a tan DDf3 with a DDH-15.

Edit: From what I gather, a 15 is D'coord only. Where would I specifically look for d'coord dolls? Could those be at DP?

This is like the fourth time I've lost her lotto LOL. Volks really does not want me to own DD.

 

My Ranko is already home and I tried some of the other items from the recent lottery on my Karin.

 

I've finally decided to take the plunge into vinyl dolls. I'll be ordering a DDdy Towa for my birthday next month. However, I'm a little nervous because I've heard that vinyl stains very easy compared to resin. The character I have planned only wears softer pastel colors though so maybe staining won't be as much of an issue for me.

 

They do stain more easily tbh, but it really depends on what they're wearing. Some fabrics stain badly, some don't at all. Get a body stocking for your doll and some dream rescue if you can, as well as a wig cap depending on the color of wig you plan on using. Preventing stains is way easier than trying to get them out later.

 

@yukiri Thanks for the tips. I heard Oxy10 also works for removing stains?

Even though it seems like there isn’t too much activity on this thread as of late I’m just really excited as I managed to grab hold of 9S from Nier Automata and am so, so excited to get him I purchased a metal stand for him as well from Volks~ He will actually be my second DD as I have Sailor Moon already ^^

 

@fate_xo ohh congrats! I don't know a thing about Nier Automata, but 9S looks like such a cool doll. And yay that your Miku will no longer be alone !

I’m actually looking for a sword for him (katana) since he doesn’t come with one like 2B, found a few but since I’m not sure what dimensions will work for his scale I’m just going to wait until he gets here~

 

My DD-f3 body arrived from Volks yesterday, and the faceup artist just messaged me that my DDH-09 is going to ship next week *-* which is pretty good timing, but now I'm nervous that my nine9 style order (that has her one and only wig) will arrive later than that @-@

@Insane-Chan I did. I ordered a few outfits sets, some posed hands, and an extra set of eyes. I have another order via Alice's Collections of more clothing and an alternate wig for her as well.

My DDH-09 is days away from being home, although my Nine9 Style order has yet to even be shipped @-@ meaning I kind of ordered a quick "emergency" wig from Denver Doll because I'm weird and kind of can't stand her not having a proper wig in the meantime. I also have one coming from Penguin, but that'll be another month at least.

My DDH-09 arrived yesterday *-* she is actually the first time I had an OC who I decided to find a doll to shell for... so that was a whole new experience! Her faceup is custom, but I'm still looking for proper eyes for her. Her current wig is borrowed from my Shiwoo, and it's pretty terrible on her but better than being bald for a few days while her real wig is in the mail.

But anyways, here is Chiyuki - 千由希！She is friends with and from the same "world" as my irl BFF @Yushimi 's DD (also named Yushimi). Hopefully they can get together sometime in the next week.

 

I love her soft faceup! She is really pretty!

@Insane-Chan Thank you dear. I'm so happy to win both. I’m not a big fan of normal skin tone but Uzuki is way too cute to resist. I can’t wait to have her home & Im excited to dress her up.

 

Has Volks mentioned why the new Snow Miku is a "reboot" as opposed to a rerelease? She looks the exact same as far as I can see.

 

I believe the Snow Miku reboot is now on the updated dollfie dream f3 body/skeleton. Like how the first Miku was updated to the newer body. I could be wrong, other dollfie dream owners with more expertise can confirm this. The most noticeable difference is the back of the knees from what I learned from handling 2B and 9S.

 

I am so incredibly excited for the snow Miku release! @Seditionary you are correct, it should be the new f3 frame (confirmed in Volks news 90) and I believe her number comes painted in instead of a tattoo you apply yourself.

 

@Seditionary That makes sense. I'm already familiar with the f3 with mdd. I didn't think the body change was enough to get the reboot verbiage and thought perhaps there were other changes involved.

 

I absolutely can't wait for the Glowing Snow outfit!!~

That was the first anime I actually searched out to watch all the episodes, back in 2001. There was a store that had a bunch of anime VHS for rental called The Green Dragon. Spent a lot of time there when I was a baby nuke in training.

 

I think USPS lost my volks order. My girl was supposed to be here yesterday but the package never showed up and the tracking never updated after it left Dallas (so close!) If it doesn't show up by tomorrow I don't know what to do. This has put a huge damper on my excitement. She was going to be my first Dollfie Dream.

 

@davri congratulations on winning a Lina! Slayers was one of the first anime I saw back in the day as well! I think it played on some really obscure cable channel for Asian TV.

@TokyoLynn Oh no, I'm sorry! Although she didn't arrive on the day she was meant to, USPS has kind of a bad rep right now for unexplained delays. My doll order last month from Fabric Friends was in limbo for 4 days after the day it was meant to be delivered. It was just stuck at one of the rendezvous points for a few days for some reason.

 

@Insane-Chan Years ago I had a doll coming in that ended up getting lost for over two weeks in Dallas. They basically told me there was nothing they could do and to just wait. It did eventually show up but the uncertainty was stressful. I checked today and oddly enough (because it's Sunday) it has been scanned again! So maybe she will arrive tomorrow. I have another package from Volks (smaller order of stuff I forgot the first time) that had left Dallas but now has gone back to Dallas for what ever reason, that one is scheduled to show up tomorrow but I'm not holding my breath.

 

@TokyoLynn oh Dallas...hopefully your DD arrives safe and sound tomorrow or this week! It's frustrating when they don't scan things correctly though and give you that unnecessary anxiety.

 

@Insane-Chan I don't think she'll be home today. Now she's stuck in Coppell but oddly enough the smaller order from Volks I made several days *after* my main order has gone through just fine, should be here today. Ugh. Maybe tomorrow....If not I'm gonna start calling people I guess.

Also, is anyone ordering Snow Miku? I am glad they continue to release Miku's ** as a Vocaloid nut, it's so fun seeing her around.

I feel embarrassed to post her, but it's been a week with my DDH09 Chiyuki, and somehow she's getting cuter by the day! One thing I've realized about DD's is their material/weight makes them so much easier to pose freely, and it's a lot more relaxing to not always worry about them face planting or breaking a finger x_X (past trauma of my DOT coming back to the surface)... although finding the right eyes in shape and size is a lot more difficult LoL. That part is giving me a headache.

 

@Insane-Chan I indeed have good news. I checked my tracking and my order is out for delivery today so yay!

 

Today my Zero came back from the face up artist, her lip gloss needed to get fixed - I was stupid and damaged it
Finally I had the chance to try her new eyes and they're perfect!

His head is a DD Miku Hatsune and I put him on an Obitsu 55cm bod. I think he makes a really cute boy.
