I was so sure I would be screwed when I saw both KOS-MOS and MOMO announced that time! But I am so glad that they ended up not looking at all what I had expected.

Do you guys have any such "experiences"? As in a DD of interest being teased or announced and then upon seeing the pics got disappointed or put off the idea of purchasing her?

 

If Volks is going to do all the vocaloids I'll be waiting on Luka and Lily but worrying about how they may turn out...

That's an awesome idea!! :O I love your Mariko - mine will be home soon and I'm glad I ordered that set of hands for her - they give your girl so much personality! I checked VolksUSA and managed to get a headcap and a bunch of extra hands for my incoming girl along with some other stuff I needed, and now I'm really glad I did! Mariko is so sweet-looking that it'll be fun to sass her up a little!

I love her sweet face!! I'm no good at posing her or making her stand on her own, but I guess I'll need to learn. I love her fullset, especially the wig, but until her headcap comes in I'm going to keep her in this one. And she gets this outfit until I can grab a body stocking or two. >w<;

 

Soooo....even if they just make a new chest for the MDD Len...I will just die if I don't get him, I was excited about Miku but decided against getting into her because I don't really collect female dolls and honestly...I spend enough money as is on Miku and Dolls without combining the two and getting her as a doll and buying every outfit ever for her

My question is, and I know this isn't necessarily the MDD thread, but that place isn't as active, is the MDD body sexless? Admittedly I know nothing about Dollfie Dreams, as I only collect SD/MSD, so I wasn't sure how they handled the gender identity of the body besides the sometimes frankly titanic breast size >.>;;; Also, are we assuming another preorder? Because that would be perfect...

As I said, I don't care if he is sexless, if they make a "boy" MDD instead of a boy MDD body, I am okay with that, I want my Len!

 

The MDD body is fairly female, it has wide hips and shapely legs. I think they would have to change at least the hips. The arms and s chest might be fine for a boy.

 

I hope there is a boy body, I only collect boys and really want a DD boy. Any other news about Len? I wouldn't even know how to order one.

 

Just as I am bringing my first DD home, I am thrilled and surprised by a potential boy DD!

 

So I haven't been on here for a good long while. ^^" But I came looking to see if there was any other info about the Vocaloid Twins. :3 I'm hoping that they keep to the DD size for them. It would seem kind of strange if they did MDDs when Miku is DD size. I have a personal preference for SD size in general. ^_^" So yeah. I've got my fingers crossed for DD size. If not, I may just go for the Smart Doll boy. (Which I was probably going to get if they hadn't announced Rin & Len. Volks is tricky that way. XD)

Regarding Rin and Len - I've been looking at Vocaloid height charts and I think that Rin and Len will be DDS-sized. Most height charts seem to put Rin and Miku at the same height, with Len slightly taller. Because the DDS body is so feminine, I don't think Volks will get away with swapping a part or two on the DDS body. I can't wait for the first promo pics - it's will be super exciting! I'm not the biggest Vocaloid fan, so I'll pass on Rin and Len, but the excitement of everyone else is really getting me amped up, and of course I want to see how they make Len!

 

I'd probably pass on them too, but they might be SUPER cute!! I'm not an Idolmaster Cinderella fan, but Mio Honda managed to trick me.

i Think with a different torso and the large hands they could make a dds boy using the existing frame and limbs. My dds boy is an onitsu 55 male torso with dds frame and limbs. They might do a special one piece like for miku. Same with the mdd body.

[MENTION=69002]Yuuuu[/MENTION] Congratz! Miku is my first(and only so far) also, but I still have not take her out of her box, I dont have a nice place to put her yet, poor girl must be very sad now, I saved her from the Evil Post System Hijackers just to let her boxed in my shelf.

 

My Megumi (Mariko) arrived today, yay! She's so cute and I'm completely in love! Originally I thought that I'd keep her in the default look for a while, but the weather forecast says the rest of the week is going to be rainy and who knows how long it will take until we have another nice sunny and humidity-free day for customising, so... I repainted her already. I kept her look close to the default, though, but just did it in my own style. ^^



She's still missing her actual eyes & wig... I edited the colour of the default eyes in Photoshop and used this blonde wig for her. Her wig is on the way but I'm waiting for Lizanna's custom colour event to order eyes for her. :3

So interesting that the new Marikos have green eyes. Does the student version also have green eyes? My Mariko sensei's were brown, hehe.

I'm sending off my Alna for a faceup by AngelToast next month. ^^ I'm a bit tired of her default faceup and it's totally not the character I had in mind when I ordered her. Hopefully I'll be able to love her again

 

My Kirika its in spain since monday but as i know, i must wait 3 weeks for the customs tramits, this its the worts part :/

 

I am loving all the adorable Marikos!!!

 

It's been about 2 weeks since the Remove-Zit on Volks white skin experiment began so it's time for an update.
As per the product instructions, I have wiped the spent Remove-Zit and reapplied more on 9/7 and 9/15. The spot seems to be fading but the diffuse nature of the stain leads me to believe the stain has been there for quite some time (possible over 3 years) and has really soaked in to the vinyl. My Remove-Zit was made in mid December 2014 so it's strength probably has diminished a bit. In any case I'm going to continue treating the stain.
The good news is the Remove-Zit has not harmed the vinyl in any way I can see. When removed there is no indication (discoloration) of where the Remove-Zit was.
More reports as things progress.

I got the Blue Check Dress set for Yoko, it's pretty cute ^_^

 

My Kirika arrived on Tuesday and I've been planning on taking nicer photos of her but the weather's turned so gloomy it's nearly impossible right now. Her default wig is absolutely horrible, but I was planning on making her dark haired anyway, so no matter. She's using an unstyled temp wig here (don't mind the crooked bangs) that she'll keep until I can find her a nicer one. She needs new eyes too, because the defaults are really blank, but I also need to order hands and busts and other stuff from Volks (for my other girls too) so I don't know when she'll get anything of her own. Her customs charges really hurt my wallet. x_x

I just got my Mariko and I've never had a DDS but her calf and knees are a lot more wiggly than my DDdy and MDD (old bodies). She can stand pigeon toed with her calves turned out. Is this a feature of the DDS body?

Congrats, she's a cutie! Marikos with twintails are my weakness, haha~ My friend Yenna visited me last weekend and when we compared the DDS, DD and DDdy bodies to each other, we noticed the DDS calves and ankles are indeed a little different compared to the other two.
