This cracked me up -- and it's so true, @snowgray. I've been a safety-pin "heathen" many times. You do what you gotta do to get the look

 

@snowgray she is SO precious! And I laughed so hard at the safety pin too! Is there any other ways to dress dearSd? My go to is the ribbon at the waist

 

I absolutely love your Aya @snowgray ! Her faceup matches up so perfectly with her dress and wig! The safety pin is heaven sent since these little ones don't get much of a wardrobe selection from Volks

I do agree that there aren't enough DearSD looks! Shout out to Ancienne for offering two of her patterns in DearSD size (there used to be a third but it isn't on the site right now?). Anna and Oriette have a DearSD sized version. I haven't finished sewing mine, but I do own one of her dress sets that is based on the Oriette pattern (sans collar), and it looks lovely:

Hi guys! I currently have my eyes on a DearSd Kira on yahoo Japan, and I am hoping I can get her home! (She is listed for the second time so I am very hopeful) I just had a question cause I know some of you have four sisters dearSd: I really want to maximise her childlike look, and I was wondering if I should get 20 or 22mm eyes? 22 seems enormous to me but maybe that would work? Which kind do you have? Thanks ❤️❤️

 

I personally use 20mm eyes for all my DSDs. Here's a few pictures!

As for eye size-all my girls wear 22mm most of the time but 20mm is cute too.

My DearSD Megu also wears 20mm eyes! Honestly, looking at the pics before mine, both sizes look cute as a button. Best of luck finding eyes you love!

I've been scrolling through Mandarake lately (Bad Pretzel! Bad!) and keep seeing F-60 SDMs. If they ever make a DSD F-60, I'd be in real trouble.

Does anyone else have sculpts they would like to have an official DSD release?

 

F-60 is Coco, right? They already have had Dear SDs of the Saki, Coco and Chiyo trio. You can see all the different versions of DSDs here: Dear SD 詳細 | ボークス

 

Oh, is that the same as the SDM F-60? I get them confused.

 

Ah, sorry, I read your post as SD FCS. SD FCS numbers are not the same as SDM (or MSD) numbers.
Saki is F-59, Coco is F-60 and Chiyo is F-61. I have a Chiyo, so I tend to pay attention to her sisters as well.

Haha that’s what I did with my dwc04 head heads I would love to see as dear sd include Michelle and both boyhood boys! (And many many others hehe)

 

@Kittywolf13 She is SO precious. I don’t care for frozen at all but you have got to admit that those sculpts Volks made are next level perfection

 

@demi_ and I got together for photos! ☺️ I had a ton of fun. Also Ms. Coco (Suiseiseki) got to try out the DearSD body. Maybe I’m biased, but I think that it is a perfect fit! Also, words cannot express how nice it was to get to see Coco up close and in person. Suiseiseki is always cute, but Coco’s faceup is soooo soft and baby! I think she and Reina had a nice time being pink and adorable XD Anyway everyone bully @demi_ until she joins the DSD cult! (a few more photos in the gallery!)

Recently someone in the Marketplace was looking for a Yu Morisawa head to make a Dear SD. I thought about it for a few days, but by the time I decided, the WTB thread was marked "finished". Then I got to thinking, *I* could try the combo myself!

Not sure if Yu is really on board with this, and Megu... well, we'll see. It's not set in concrete -- yet.

 

@lorka, @JaxxCapta, @beamlette, thank you! I always liked the Seki twins, but now... now I really want one of my own to be a little chubby girl!

Also @beamlette, I think there's another Yu Morisawa DearSD floating around! I think @idrisfynn has one? She's super cute! The tiny size really fits her little froggy expression XD

 

You're right! I found her listed in @idrisfynn's profile, but I can't locate a profile for her doll.

This motivates me to work on looks for my Yu Morisawa Dear SD.

 

Some drive-by of my F-72 on the DearSD body, since I had to borrow her body for the head that's usually on this body. My F-72 has a fairly mature faceup, so I'm not totally sure this look works for her. Maybe 72 with a softer face, and a few extra kips under her head?

 

She looks, ahem, yassified and I mean that in the best way.

 

The newest Volks News has new DearSDs! They’re dressed in new outfits and have new (to DSD) heads: Mai and F-94 in tan, F-98 in fair, and F-86 in white. Here are some scans.

 

Oh thanks for the scan! I saw tidbits around! So exciting! I hope Volks does more dearSd like this, especially tan! Those two are adorable!

 

I'm so excited for more Sunlight DearSDs. My plan is to get 2 Sunlight bodies for my F-01 twins.

The new hands look so cute too.

 

Oh man, Leo is adorable, but I really just want the outfits. I can't add any more DearSDs there's no more room in the cabinet. But yes to alllll of the hands!

 

Nooooo, more DSDs! I think my display space is already crumbling under the weight of my current collection.

 

I really like Leo and like the idea of a DSD boy, but Tiara and Maya are super cute too. And Nao and Nayu might be in this bunch? Aaand the new outfits are cute too... I feel like this is both the best news and the worst news for my bank account.

 

I’m really hoping the next Dolpa dolls are VERY ugly, because my heart/wallet only has space for fat babies

 

I love them all, especially Leo and Hana! And more option hands is always a win.

 

I come bearing photos of the new DearSDs! They are SOOOO CUTE. There wasn't a tan F-81 on display at Mado, but the chubby little fist hands were visible. I hope we'll be able to order hand option parts soon!

My only complaint about DSD have been the hands. They're not cute enough! But these new ones look so much better. I'm assuming they're not available for purchase separately?

 

Oh those hands!! I agree that the hands are the one thing I don’t like about the dearSd body (volks standard hands tend to be a bit meh… no? And then they make pretty optional ones ) I also hope they are orderable at some point, need them for my girl!

 

The new release site lists the red dress set coming with 02 hands, and the black set coming with 03 hands, but it isn't clear yet if there will be an option to order the other hands. The Frozen girls came with both 01 and 02 hands in their special resin. The site also shows a peace sign hand, so maybe ordering will be available later? Hard to say.

 

Nao and Nayu are so cute! Please Volks, please let international customers have a chance at them at some point..!
