I'll be there with bells (or something :P ) on! I doubt I will have the cash to buy Genji, but perhaps I will just sacrifice my credit card to the doll gods. :P I think I need to see more pictures of him first, though.

 

I hope this doesn't sound strange since I'm an American, but I'm glad that Volks offers some things to their Japanese customers only. The Japanese fans have been so supportive to Volks over the years, and they deserve some special goodies! Overall, I think Volks does a great job of making everyone happy!

I was just going to ask the same thing, I wonder how long it usually takes for them to post this.

 

I keep thinking any time now volks will offer the angels via Usa.com lottery but I guess it won't happen?

 

Probably not. I mean, they are Sato-only not just limited to Sumikas in Japan. Volks probably wants to keep them as special as possible. I just hope this re-release of orange wings gives me a better chance to get a few for my girls.

I like 光源氏 sooo much, because i love 源氏物語.
I'm interested in the weddin dress as well.
Lastly, the angels are cute.

I'm incredibly amused that Volks appears to have two male dolls - Amakusa and Ushiwakamaru - modeling the wedding set, unless they've put Ushiwakamaru onto a girl body. Oh, Volks, you're so adorable.

 

Genji is a dream doll, it is true. But the first kimono, the one listed above the wedding kimono, that is something I hope to find some day. It is the loveliest kimono I have ever seen. Sigh...

Ahaha I was lolling over this too! But, I think if you look very carefully at "her" feet in those lovely little sandals, it looks like the smaller feet they use on girl bodies.

I´ve been looking for the right mold for my bad guy for 2 years and a half with no luck and while this is pretty close to what I have in mind... ca´nt.. not with the prices I´m sure we´ll eventually see in yj.. going for the roof..., no way

Why must I always fall for the super limiteds?

 

He really does look like a modded version of F38 X Maki X Alain (volks always do this with many of their limited molds.......it'll carry resemblance from one of the FCS so that way people will go get them). (pretty smart if you ask me!)

 

I wish I wish I could go... I would love to bring home Hinata... I guess Ill have to hope she'll appear on the second hand market some where..

The price on Genji is about what I expected it to be, quite frankly. Their last couple SD17 boys have been in that range ($1200-1300), too. Look at the scarface Reisner! He was also up there.

 

The price is actually less than I thought it would be. HMM. :3

 

Shizuku is so cute. Oh how I am lucky I don't live in japan or I'd be going to stand in line for a shot at her. I'd love a chance for that dress she has as well, but I could probably make it just it won't be super nice quality like Volks.

 

I agree on Genji's price. I was not surprised by the price tag. It's pretty standard price for an SD17.

Not to mention his has very complicate foodwear and hear gear.

Actually, Scarface Reisner was 25,000 yen more expensive (maybe because he came with the sword and extra hand?).
Considering the intricacy of Genji's outfit, I'm a little surprised his price isn't higher.

 

Oh my GOD! The Tale of Genji!!? I really surprised his price too but I lived outside Japan. I can't buy him. This event make me sad T^T...I'd like to have someone to buy Hikaru Genji for me...T-T/

SD17s are about 67cm tall.

 

They're all so pretty looking. My favorite is the first little girl.
