ladyroselie, whoever said MNF do not fit Ellowyne clothes is just plain wrong. Both myself and member Sher have many Ellowyne outfits for our MNF. They are a perfect fit.

 

I'll do a whole nice comparison photo shoot soon, It's just that since my family is moving everything is messy and there is no room for photos. Well, good photos that is. I'll add my JID to the mix too. She's hugeee comared to odette even though edette is taller.

Also I have a question for VW: Are the "Odette eyes" available separately or are they exclusive to Odette?

Yeah, this is the one I got, but it is a bit roomy in the bust area, keeps falling down on my Mystique. But she does look lovely in it, I think if I move the snaps over a bit, it will fit fine
And it doesnt interfere with her wings either. I just am so giddy about these ball jointed wings! Mystique stays pretty much at home......I tramatized her taking her to a Chinese restaurant one day, I pulled her out and she had her hands and arms in front of her face...........poor thing...........I felt so bad, maybe it was her dress that was showing off her ehem......clearing throat.......ummm "Girly Goodies" ?

 

Yeah mini fee is much bustier, but hip whys only a litttle teeensy big bigger than Odette. Be forwarned though, minifee pants look 100% rediculous on Odette. When I do my comparison thread (hopefully tomorrow) I'll show you just how silly it looks. Skirts work though.

Ok, so is there any pose you'd like to see if tywylth teg can do in comparison to JID and MNF?

 

I've love to see them sitting with their knees bent (like you would sit in a chair) and with their knees straight (like if you were sitting on the floor with your feet out in front of you.)

 

Once I get my Gluino (which I'm expecting to be HUGE) I can do a comparison with him. Wouldn't be til the end of October though ^^;

 

Oh VW, he is huge, one huge hunky piece of delicious resin!!!! He is 72cm which is about 28" tall. Mine would be here either until next month.

I think I only got the wig??? It's a mystery lolz. I know I wanted to paint her myself, and although I thought the default outfit was incredible I had something different in mind.

XD He's soo much larger then her though lol!! She only comes up to about his chest/ribs I think lol (He's a Soom Euclease(sp?)) but they would be XD (Fire-y and water )

For her teeth, I shoved a piece of white sculpy clay in the mouth cavity. I love her hew look!

 

from the back or the front/face? did you make an opening between her lips and put the teeth/sculpy clay in the mouth cavity
from inside her skull?

 

when I was replacing her eyes, a piece of resin from the inside of her mouth can come out.............I thought then..........hmmmmm..........teeth! So I took a piece of unbaked, and still is, of white sculpy clay, and shoved it inside of the cavity in her mouth, then I took my sculpting tool, and made teeth.

Oh and you should see how she can do some poses! I'll picture them later! LOL

 

Musestar: Oh, I had casted a LS Odette for myself, and when we moved I could've sworn I put her in a box. I could not find her for weeks, I was getting really upset! But then I found her in the closet in one of my old school bags. I remembered that instant my hubby told me to put it in a more safer place then in a box lol. I have such a great memory x_x

OH! Odette has a opened mouth, and there is a mouth piece inside from inside the head. I'll take a picture of the mouth and mouth piece soon Sorry I didn't mention it before!

I went to visit a friend this afternoon and took Odette with me. My friend is a Blythe/Barbie type fan and, while she's visited me and seen my other dolls, she never saw Odette.

It isn't often I seen a grown adult squeal like a teenager and sit down to play with a doll, but today I did. It was fun to watch her explore the clothing and the hair, ears, removable hands and feet.

I'd like to say she'll get one, but i don't know for sure. What I do know is she absolutely loved Odette. XD

That's so awesome that a friend went squealy over Odette! It'd be a great way to get introduced to BJDs. My best friend saw my dolls for the first time last weekend, gave them an up-and-down look, and said "Eh, I would have rather spent that money on jewelry."

I guess not everyone is impressed by awesome dolls at first glance.

 

She's been here at DoA. I offered her an Invite but she doesn't seem ready to go into BJD's that heavily yet. Although she sure likes playing with mine. LOL

I have a bunch of doll maker links on my LJ and she's been clicking them regularly to view the different styles of dolls and their costs (always in important consideration). So far she's liking the CP's from Luts, and the DZ boys. This is the first time she's seen VW's dolls. So I don't know what she'll do or not do. I just thought it was fun to watch a grown 50 year old (she's younger than me afterall LOL) making "little girl" noises over Odette.

 

Aw, that's super cool freya! I hope we might see her pop over here sometime in the future then, whenever she might be ready to take the plunge.

My husband promised me an Odette So we're ordering her tomorrow! I'm getting her in LS with body blushing and her outfit.

I plan on going to Momochu for morning glory style faceup for her This will be the first custom faceup I'm going to send a head out for and I'm nervous about it but also very excited! Her faceups are just as I imagine a fae like Odette would look like.

Mytique is already blushing by VW, and I need to blush a few more dolls that I have here, I have a few Volks pastel chaulks but that's it. Do I apply them with a type of brush or Q-tips? Which is better, I don't want to screw up.

When I buckled down to blush my girl I sort of figured it out as I went along, eyeballed the colors, figured "nah I don't think I'll unstring her" and sprayed her with coats of MSC in intervals when it "felt right." I think as with a lot of things regarding BJDs the dolls themselves "talk" to you as you go along to get a sense of how far to go in certain areas

If you do wind up blushing Mytique you will have to show us what you do!

My Odette Abernathy is finally (nearly) complete!! So I thought I would share ^^

I got her head back from the extremely talented momochu today Here are some quick pictures of her. She's wearing the Victorian Winter brand Chaorite eyes.

 

Does anyone have an ETA for when VW will be back in business? I'd love to get some of those eyes like Anneke's girl has, and wings too.
