SartoriaJ Sarah borrowing my Iplehouse JID Asa's 'Queen of the Night' costume, for a special photo shoot.
Absolutely gorgeous! I love how you have her posed on the fainting couch, she looks elegantly relaxed.
Incredibly beautiful! My respect for the beautiful gown and the lovely Sarah! They have created something that SartoriaJ is very reserved about. Sartoria J bring the Versailles theme and only offer clothing in SD size :-( My congratulations on this wonderful harmonious work of art. Thanks for the brilliant pictures and sharing
Heck, I wasn't even looking at the doll the first time through, I was staring at all the details in that outfit! As usual, your dolls and photos are inspirational!
@rosehollow - Thank you! I tried posing her like the famous painting of the King's mistress. @JL_The_Lion - Thank you! I know many people were very disappointed that SJ only offered their Versailles series costumes for the larger dolls - even though they promoted their MSD size dolls in those very outfits. @vermaxen - Thank you. @Wittyilynamed - Thanks! She did look very beautiful in it. But it will always belong to my JID Asa. @Rabbit-moon - Thank you so much! @dm_sof - Thank you. My first love is costuming, and that's why I got into BJDs in the first place. @Sianserais - Thank you! Yes, that gown has incredible details.
@tru4ever - Thank you! @mmilena - Thanks! I made the dress back in 2014 for my IH JID Asa, and every now and then she'll let someone borrow it for a photo shoot - but she always demands it back.
The beauty and her dress probably take beautiful photos no matter what, though I think you did an excellent job with your color coordination. Everything sort of highlights and elevates each other. That lovely color dress, necklace, eyes against the manor background. Is this a diorama? Would love to pick your brain.
Thank you. The "manor" is just one end of the castle interior I had set up on my dining room table at the time. Hence the 'stone' walls. The table was pushed up against the bay window so the 'room' would get natural light. I had just redressed the set a bit to look more period appropriate. I try to remember to take Behind the Scenes photos of many of my scenes and post them in albums on my website. These are the two albums so far this year.... @lutke - Thank you! @PBitzel - Thanks. The gown was a JID size copy of one I made on a OOAK art doll a few years earlier. Thankfully I still had enough of everything - except the main dress fabric. So the gown is pretty much an almost exact copy, except for the dress fabric.
Absolutely jaw-dropping beautiful. Love the details and the lighting so that you can see the details but your eye gets drawn to her and her beauty.
Just wow! Watching the first pics I was wondering, if you might have used a photo background. The more photos I saw it became clear, that it was really all probs! what an amazing level of detail! Every little bit is so beautiful!!!
@nessa - Thank you. I love the lighting I get when I photograph a doll with that window unit. @kelpie - Thank you. I never use photo backdrops - don't even own any. All my sets are 'real', made up of walls and props set up on my dining room table....
This is beyond stunning!!! The dress, the accessories, and the background... absolutely everything is perfect!
