Unsatisfactory Transaction with naitomeadoll aka Taksan

Question: Are people who are still waiting to get money allowed to update here still about the transactions with naitomeadoll? I ask because I would like to stay subscribed out of curiosity.

I am not necessarily a part of this whole bounced money thing but before she closed her bank account I did sell her something but thankfully the money cleared.

 

Yes, people are allowed to continue to update here. (I would personally really, REALLY like to see these all resolved!)

 

I am still waiting for $400 and $35 in fees. No update from (Lynn) Naitomeadoll.

 

Naitomeadoll has recently stopped "communication" with me in the middle of a transaction.

 

Sadly I had a feeling this was going to happen. Before naitomeadoll left for Thanksgiving she was supposed to refund me $132. She said that she was going to get a 'friend' to help her out with all the money she owed everyone .... aparently that friend did help her out she just didn't know it. I highly doubt that I will be seeing that money now, good thing I don't desperatly need it.

This whole situation makes me sick to my stomach and I'm just sad that she's taken advantage of everyone like this. To everyone else out there I really hope you get either your money or your dolls back. If not then I personally think that charges need to be filled agains her (IMO)

 

Thank you for banning Naitomeadoll. The only reason I do not currently have a situation with her is because I went out of my way to get the highly damaged doll she sent me sold to a friend of mine for modding/blushing practice. If I had stayed with Naitomeadoll, I would probably still be in the sticky situation I see so many people in right now. I am sorry for all of you, and I hope all of your problems are resolved quickly. : (

I don't know if this was previously mentioned in this thread (I went through every page but I may have missed it), but it is probably not wise to try and get a refund or enact negative action against whatever e-mail Naitomeadoll has given you for paypal (if she has at all). I have heard from several users that she freely gives out e-mails for people who she owes money to, without informing either party. I almost got a paypal refund on an e-mail that belonged to someone who had no idea of the situation. : ( Not good.

Ok, I am extremely mad. I have notified the police (a week ago) and they said that there isn't much they can do to her because she is in another state. But I am not about to let her steal my doll. If I have to I WILL go to her house with the police.

 

Have you tried contacting her local police department? I think if you all collectively go to her local police department (calling or whatever), they will be more likely to listen and take action.

There are specific actions that each receiver of a bad check from this person needs to take. They are listed here

Basically each person needs to send a written demand~
" person who issues a check or order to a payee in violation of Section 17-1(B) (d) and who fails to pay the amount of the check or order to the payee within 30 days following either delivery and acceptance by the addressee of a written demand by both certified mail and by first class mail to the person's last know address; or attempted delivery of a written demand sent by both certified mail and by first class mail to the person's last known address and the demand by certified mail is returned to the sender with a notation that delivery was refused or unclaimed, shall be liable to the payee or a person subrogated to the rights of the payee for, in addition to the amount owing upon such check or order, damages of treble the amount so owing, but in no case less than $100 nor more than $1,500, plus attorney fees and court costs.

A cause of action under this Section may be brought in small claims court or in any other appropriate court. As part of the written demand required by this Section, the plaintiff shall provide written notice to the defendant of the fact that prior to the hearing of any action under this Section, the defendant may tender to the plaintiff and the plaintiff shall accept as satisfaction of the claim, an amount of money equal to the sum of the amount of the check and the incurred court costs, and service and attorney fees."

I would suggest that if someone lives in Illinois is able to contact someone working in a law related position or for a collection agency and find out what specific wording is needed for that demand letter and post it here, that would be very helpful to all involved.

Also, as was done on other threads, if one person, maybe a mod, could collect all the information as to who is involved, the amount of each check that bounced and the amounts of the fees, this could help determine if this constitutes Grand Theft. The police would be more likely to help then.

Those of you holding bad checks should contact the local Sheriff's office at Naitomeadoll's location to have her arrested for passing bad checks.

 

I noticed that some people said they received Money Orders or Cashier Checks and they bounced.

Those items are purchased from banks or the post office or other vendors so should not bounce. Unless they are fake.

There is a big problem with people passing fake money orders and cashier checks. If anyone had this happen you need to contact the police. This is much more than just writing a bank check and then not having the funds to cover it.

I'll be honest, I've been following this thread for a while even though I am not directly involved (although I was in discussions with this person about buying an item when all this started) and as soon as she said that she had closed her account I knew there would be trouble.

Please- those of you who are still owed money- call the police. I find it very, very hard to believe that this was an accident, and this person cannot be alowed to get away with this.

 

Naitomeadoll (Lynn or Lindsey from Chicago) claimed she sent a money order but actually sent me a check though billpay. My bank put in a complaint to her bank. Others should have their banks call hers as well.

Lynn put a stop payment on my check. She never gave me an explanation why she did this.

 

I just wanted to add some more information to this thread about this person.

Naitomeadoll signed up at Resinality as user DestroyMyRemains on November 10th. She's since been posting over there in a very jolly and cheery fashion, including during the times when she was supposedly "too sick" to contact DoA members, and also when she was supposedly in California.

After she made a gallery post, she was immediately brought to our attention by several members, who correctly identified her dolls as being the same dolls naitomeadoll has here on DoA.

At this time, she didn't have Market access so I made a small change in her account so that it would not automatically gain Market access.

On November 21st, when she had met the criteria but didn't gain access, she specifically PMed me asking for Market access, in a very jovial and light-hearted fashion.

This was while she still owed at least $700 to people here on DoA that I was aware of. I took this as further proof of her being a scammer -- after all, what kind of legitimate, honest person actively seeks Market access on other forums while still owing people hundreds of dollars?

We told her she wasn't getting Market access, and why (and I also informed Gina of this information as I felt she had a right to know) and she hasn't returned to nor posted on our forum since.

However, in light of the news posted today we have banned her account and will be adding all known information about her to our Known Scammers list. We have a lot of safeguard systems in place so it will be very hard for her to make fake accounts or log into friend's accounts without our knowledge.

But I am very, very sorry for all those who have been done over by her. I wish you all lots of luck in regaining the rest of the money you are owed.

 

I talked to Naitomeadoll, she's said she is sending my doll friday, saturday or sunday.
I feel rude posting any "personal" details i've gained so i'm not going to...

Although I do know she is going to be sending someone's doll back, I also have gained the knowledge for why.

People should probably try to communicate with Lynn directly as much as possible. I think it's really nice that you're offering to help people stay in contact with her, Warumono, but please be careful! It would be awful for you to get manipulated or to unknowingly help her manipulate others.

Already, it looks like she took advantage of knowing a real-life friend's password to hijack her account... knowing that, I wouldn't really put too much trust in an internet friendship.

 

Please pass this info on to a mod, to help keep track of her. She has already tried to fool people once, and we can't let her do it again.

As has been said- please be careful. It was not so long ago that x_kazakai_x (now banned) used her friends both off and online to try and avoide and manipulate other people in bad transactions. Lynn has already started the same behaviour- she is proving to not be an honest person.

 

As there is no mail on Sunday in the US, I'd be rather worried that she was lying to you about possibly posting the doll on a day where it is impossible to post said doll.

i know the shiwoo she was trying to sell here on DoA under the other name was the one i sold her-and she did pay me back for the check that bounced on me, took nearly 2 weeks, but she did pay me back.

 

Oh and I just saw now how everyone was telling me to be careful.
I should say straight out that I am, as well as I plan to cancel my ECHECK to her if I do not get a working and updated tracking number.

I also only sent partial payment, I told her I won't send anymore until I have said doll in hand... and even with that I added that I won't pay her but will pay someone she owes money to IF said person she owe's is alright with that.

I'm not going to let myself fall into trap, i'm watching my steps and making sure to keep full contact with her as much as possible.

Apparently she is signing on with the 'Invisible' status - which hides the fact she is online. I strongly suggest people who are trying to contact her via AIM to send her an IM even if her status says 'Offline' - she might be lurking there. Wouldn't hurt to try.

I'm glad that there are lists being compiled of known scammers. This is the best way to watch out for one another, right?
For those directly involved -- if you do have the details about her name, address etc -- definitely go to the police. I think too many scammers just rely on people not wanting to do that.

As her list of aliases and presence in other forums grows ( my god she has some nerve!) - would it be possible to find out her email/ IP address etc?

Sorry to pop in with some questions, but I've been following this thread and it might be really really useful to make a sticky about some of these payment methods that have failed. For instance, like some of the sellers on this thread, I thought a cashier's check was the same as cash if you could show your ID. Were the cashier's checks really faked, or is there some wait time for them too, like a check?

What might be helpful as a sticky: forms of payment (e-checks, cashiers checks, bank checks, etc.) and how long banks recommend you wait to see if they are good or possibly fraudulent. Then if someone sends you one, refer them to the sticky about how long they will have to wait before they get their item. We should all honor that, to protect sellers.

Sorry to hijack this thread with some questions. Just today someone asked me if I accepted money orders and I was kind of nervous after reading this thread.

And sorry you guys have had such trouble. I got hit earlier this year so I truly feel your pain.

Dollyholic, in this case Naitomeadoll told people she was sending a BidPay- or bank-written money order, but what she actually sent was a bank check, which in my experience operates just like a normal check -- it just looks more professional.

We were never sent the money orders that we were supposed to have been sent. We received these bank checks instead. The payments we received were not counterfeit. That is a different type of fraud than has been implied in some posts in the last few days. Her scamming involves sending bad checks, not creating fake money orders.

 

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying that. Some people had mentioned cashier's checks. Those (if I'm remembering correctly) are certified by the issuing bank and are drawn right from the issuing bank. Usually people buy money orders from the post office, and those have a very distinctive look. They are also cashed at the post office too, so you wouldn't have it in your checking account to bounce.

It would still be nice to have a sticky to protect sellers who are taking checks or any other form of payment... I think people are trying to be nice and trusting by not waiting for these bank checks to clear. I know buyers are in a hurry, and sellers want to be known as quick shippers.. if the seller waits out the 10 days on a bank check, they should not be given bad feedback, etc. for being slow.

I recieved the e-mails from naiomeadoll. So I am hoping to get my doll soon. Also, what Guide said worries me. Did she try to sell my doll?

 

I wanted to add that Naitomeadoll mentioned to me via AIM that she had recently purchased a WooSoo. So it seems to me that she must have had some extra money that she should have used to pay off her current debts.

Do you know if this was the same Woosoo that she was trying to buy on DoA? As far as I know, that deal fell through when her real identity (as in, not konekobombay) was revealed.

 

I have no idea; she told me that she had just finished paying for it on layaway.

 

She had a pipos baha up for sale on Loose Joints, but the post is from 10/11 and has been edited to "please delete" some time today, so I guess no longer, huh...

Dark Angel, Naitomeadoll has tried to sell your Baha on several occasions (in order to pay you and other people back) but has been unable to do so, hence her returning it. I don't think she has tried to sell your Baha since she has agreed to return it to you, but I wouldn't put it past her now.

Naitomeadoll contacted me several times via email and text message today to return the rest of Tanpopo's items to Gina as she is afraid of the charges Gina will be issuing if all the items are not returned.

I called her back this afternoon to discuss getting back the rest of Tanpopo's items back from her (box, papers, pillows, facecover), as she had just handed Tanpopo to me out of her purse with no facecover or wig net, no sort of protection at all.

I am seeing her tomorrow to pick up the rest of Tanpopo's items. I also questioned her about Caddyvamp's owed money and she said she would pay once she got Warumono's payment but I told her we would NOT wait for any more payments. I for one am tired of her broken promises and told her she would need to pay now or hand over Caddyvamp's items to me tomorrow. I'm guessing she either wanted to keep Caddyvamp's items or that the items are now damaged and not returnable (they were sent in new condition) so she paypaled Caddyvamp today.

Caddyvamp told me she will be back later tonight from work and we will confirm then if she got the payment safely. I'm assuming Naitomeadoll gave her the paypal payment she tried to give to Gina.

I am livid with Naitomeadoll as she has now tried to blame me for the damages she herself had caused to the Tanpopo. Fortunately I initially thought that she might try to blame me for the damages and took precaution to record everything with Gina and on my Livejournal here as soon as I got home from picking her up.

The doll's blushing is scratched, lip paint badly chipped and she is dirty on her face (see her nose and underside of face) and body. Naitomeadoll has suggested that I had done it to Gina shortly before I called her --

All I can say is that she has some nerve. I confronted her on the phone that I have photo evidence recorded the day I got Tanpopo, so she can't lie this away like she's tried with everything else. After the photos Tanpopo has been stored away in my closet with a facecover and in a yotenshi box, so no further damages have been issued by me.

One, I'm really sorry to see what had happened with all of you, this is just sickening and I really feel bad to see everyone go through this ordeal.

I sold naitomeadoll my Cyber Bohemian Shiwoo and received feedback from her in regards to that transaction. I honestly can't remember if I left her feedback or not, the doll I received in partial trade I was not thrilled with, but didn't want to quibble as she had sent my paypal payment quickly.

Ugh I just don't want her even associated with me, having her name on my feedback is just....yech. It's killing me that she has him now too, I thought he was going to a good home

You have been a real trooper about all of this, and have gone out of your way to help even though this was not your "problem" to begin with. I am in awe of your good nature and think I can safely say that you have won the respect of numerous people with your kind actions throughout this disaster.

 

WOW this just keeps getting worse and worse.... after what Nena said I would like to put in my information too.

I sold Naitomeadoll my LE Aida we had a long drawn out ordeal that I won't go into here but she did start a bad transaction thread against me (if you want to read all the dirty detail this is the thread) After getting him back from her moms address I sent him out UPS for a total of $116 so that he would be there before she left to go to her mothers house for Thanksgiving... I felt this was a stupid thing to do since he arrived in Chicago the day before she left for California and could have picked him up when she got there, but in order to correct a mistake I paid UPS to guarantee he got there on time...... anyway when he arrived I got this long email from naitomeadoll stating what horrible condition Aida was in and that his box (not the shipping box but his actual box) was completely damaged and in very 'piss pore' condition. She was claiming that his legs were miss shapen and were damaged and he was unable to sit or stand. She also claimed that there were several large chips to the top of his head, and that there were chips to his wrist and the resin was uneven. She said over and over how I sold him damaged and how displeased she was with the whole transaction, and that because of it she was leaving the bad feedback thread against me up instead of taking it down like she promised. She said that she was very unhappy with the fact that I chose such a high shipping cost and that she shouldn't have to pay for it.

At that point I was pretty fed up with her lies and had already seen this thread and all the problems everyone was having. I emailed her back and called her out, since I had taken a bunch of pictures of Aida before he left I knew she was lying. I told her I wanted pictures of all the so called damage and that I had proof that when he left my house he was in PERFECT condition. I also told her I wanted the refund for both of the shipping costs I had given her. After that email she changed her tune said Aida was gorgeous and she was keeping him and that she would get pictures to me of the damage and she would talk to her boyfriend about sending a refund through paypal ... that was on the 11 of November. Since that time I haven’t heard from her or nothing. I've emailed her several times asked for the refund ($132 total) and to have the bad transaction thread taken down. I have got no response or any pictures of the so called 'damage' Aida had.

In my opinion this girl is a chronic liar and can't be trusted. If anyone out there has bought a LE Elf Aida, he was mine and was in perfect condition when he left my house... since he's been in her possession who knows what's happened.

For those of you out there it makes me sick what she's done... this reeks of the kazakai situation all over again. Here's to hoping all of you with dolls not paid for get them back!

This is just a little thing, but I talked to Naitomeadoll on AIM a long while back when I was first dealing with her. She talked of buying dolls worth over $1,000 routinely with no layaway, but the moment I asked for a refund of the $300 I paid for a body she said was in perfect condition and came to me severely damaged, she balked for several months. If people talk to her on AIM now I am sure she will continue to tell them of dolls she is purchasing right now, while telling the people demanding the money she owes them that she is sick/out of work/etc etc.

 

As the moderator of Loosely Strung I have started to delete her Marketplace posts on the forum. I will continue to do so from here on out. However, I will not be banning her, so if you want to try PMing her there... go ahead

Naitomeadoll hasn't been talking to me about purchasing any new dolls [minus the Woosoo but I only heard that she was getting one nothing more] but she has mentioned what her job is, whom she lives with, the location she lives, that she's trying to find a new place to live because rent is doubling [so far nothing], that people on THIS THREAD are talking bad about me to her... o-O; i'd actually like to know more about this since i'm only trying to help.

Warumono, try not to be too upset about the things Naitomeadoll is telling you. I think we have seen plenty of evidence that she lies when she thinks it will help win someone to her side.

Honestly, I can't imagine that anyone trying to talk to Naitomeadoll about getting their money or goods would have the time or inclination to badmouth others to her. Why would they want to "be chummy" with her like that when she's screwing around with their money? Many users here are having a challenge just getting Naitomeadoll to talk to them at all.

In the end, this really isn't about you at all, so you needn't be concerned. People are just trying to get their stuff back. You've been quite helpful the last few days, and for that I personally thank you.
