SwivelChair, Ashbet nailed it on the wig sizing (Ashbet is a genius!!! Hee, love you Ash!!!!). My Latea is the only bjd of my group that uses a silicone wig cap, but the cap allows her to wear 8-9 wigs, 7-8 or 9-10 wigs do not work.

 

Thanx' Ashbet lol... about that cartoon... all I can think of is to take picture as soon as she's assembled... my mobile is my fastest taking picture device

I am so upset It has been just over a month now with no reply from Buyee.jp about my dolls we have been emailing them daily but have had no response what so ever and I have no idea of how to contact these people as they only have email. I'm worried now they have taken the money for the doll and basically just ripped me off :'(

Astra3a: im sorry to hear about this. Ive never heard of buyee..but i would just keep trying to contact them? did you pay with paypal? Could always try and open up a claim if its within the time limit?

 

I did a research from Google and it seems buyee website is safe, I guess.

Maybe they're just slow? Or maybe email goes to spam inbox?

Thanks captainkyo and raykit for your help we didn't pay through paypal unfortunately. I have heard that their shipping prices are horrid in the beginning we could email them and they would message us back easily but for over a month now we have heard nothing. on our account on their website it says we haven't paid yet but we did and the money left our account. We have been messaging them daily but nothing. It's really odd because we could get replies from them before and nothing has changed. It's really upsetting because we have nobody to help and we can't call anyone :'(

 

OMG it turns out we are a right pair of idiots and they wanted us to pay shipping. We have still had no contact but we figured out how their website works lol I am proper shamed hahahahah

 

Oh, thank goodness!! I'm so glad to hear it!!

In future, if you didn't pay via PayPal (which has a 45-day limit), you can often file a complaint with your bank or credit card. If they find in your favor, they will do a "chargeback" and the money will be returned to you. Not always successful, but worth a go when situations have dragged on like this!

So, I one question for all of you splendid ladies and gentlemen . . . do any of you have both a Senior Delf girl and a Unoa Zero? I've been eyeballing some of the really pretty clothes, but I don't want to buy anything that isn't going to fit.

They appear to have similar proportions -- long legs, relatively slim hips, nipped-in waist, and then widening over the ribcage to accommodate a large bust and shoulders that are broader than the hips.

Since I've never seen one in person, though, I'd love to have some comparison pics/measurements in hand before I impulse-buy something that wouldn't fit ANY of my other dolls

I don't have one but I bought some senior delf shoes. And they do not fit don't know about clothes though

Have paid Buyee the shipping but they are still saying we haven't paid them. I have no idea what is going on anymore? They still haven't contacted us :'( I'm probably not going to be getting those dolls now

 

I was curious if they would replied so I just used the contract us form and asked them how long it would take for them to ship out once they received the items and they replied that it would take about 1 week

 

Came back home after being away for the weekend and I see my Zero has arrived at Noppin! Now to pay the shipping fee! Excited, but I wonder how expensive it will be? @_@

I've tried
volks sd16 kimono heels
Luts senior delf girl heels
crobidoll sd16 sneaker wedges

and none of them have fit ;-;
I managed to squeeze the crobi wedges on because they are soft pleather like,and they squished a bit but i still couldnt get them all the way in

I've a bunch of other sd16 shoes in on the way i hope to god these fit or im gonna go crazy @.@

Also just paid shipping for noppin, so i should be getting my fairy skin in next week (although she is going to a new home, which i hope i dont regret~)
but i bought the 2 normal skin faceplates too that i cant wait to play with~ :3

They have them in a few colors, I believe.
Dale Rae used to have pumps that fit, but I can't find them on the site any longer.

I have a pair of Volks SD16 that fit perfectly, they are sold out, but I think they fit due to the open design, so similar Volks SD16's might work. There is a pair of white ones up on Volks USA right now that just might work (????).

I'll dig through the closet tomorrow and see if I can give you any more ideas...I'm a shoe freak, and I've had my Zero for about 5 years, so I have found a few pair that work...but my Zero has the least amount of shoes in the house. She's a girly girl, which makes it even harder to put shoes on her feet!

 

I was thinking that maybe ones with open heals and toes might be easier trying to get them to fit
Ill just have to keep trying~

captainkyo, I went through the shoe closet, and aside from the Luts shoes and one pair of Dale Rae that are no longer available, the only other pair of "girl" shoes that fit Zero are a pair by "Dark Blue". I found them on ebay, and did a search for them just now, they are nowhere to be found.

 

I noticed that Tata's Paradise has at least two styles of Dark Blue shoes/boots:

The "Wrinkled Boots" and "OL-B" low heels are definitely Dark Blue (I bought the Wrinkled Boots in a recent order, will try them on my girls.) Do either of those look like the pair you have, Wally?

I'll try the boots on my girl and see if they work.

I don't know if all SD "Dark Blue" shoes will work, but these do. They are not any too loose, but they do stretch a bit!

 

I remember that when finding "Dark Blue" shoes on ebay, you can't search by "Dark Blue". I found a black pair that says the insole measures 7.5cm, and I just measured my girl's foot at about 7.2cm...likely a tight squeeze, but might work!

The same seller has quite a few open-toe shoes that are 7.5cm on the inside as well.

Ashbet, the Mimiwoo ones are 7.2cm on the inside, so I doubt they would fit...

 

I have been playing with my Zero today, and realized that I have never tried to restring her, and she likes to flop on her back, so thought I'd give it a shot. Once looking at the way her upper torso and head were connected, I thought, "this can't be right!" I just restrung her and have spent a good half hour trying to figure out how this is really supposed to work. I put her together a different way, and she's not flopping backwards, but I don't think I have it right. Does anyone have a photo or a diagram on how to have her head strung to her body properly? I think there used to be links somewhere on DoA to the instructions, but I can't find them anywhere!!

 

I LOVE them! But I am so F*king poor,sad. I will save my money and get a pair of zero with white skin ! They are gorgeous!

Then you can put her faceplate on, you need to make sure the string "lock/hook" the face.
Sadly my girl hasn't been with me, else I would take a photo for you ^^;

 

thanks for the pics raykit! I know where the elastics wrap around the head, I just don't know whether one goes through each of the holes in her head, or what? I ended up putting both strings through the center hole, her head has great mobility, and she's stopped falling over and smacking the back of her head on the table, so it's working anyway! Still, if someone has scanned the instructions or can tell me how those strings are supposed to go through the head, I'd love to know!

I got my decadent faceplates today with my fairyskin noppin order
I wanted to try a light faceup, i ultimately want to mod her eyes open unless i can find an open eye faceplate.

Sad there is some resin issues, her right side of face/cheek is really thin, kinda worries me, her left side is nice and thick though.
and there is a hole in the corner of her left side of mouth. I kept thinking there was just a black mark there that wouldnt come off xD
but its a hole @.@

lol, I didn't want to restring mine either, but it sure has made a difference! She finally sits up nicely, and her head mobility is great, although I don't think I have the strings coming through the right parts of the head!

Your new faceplate is stunning. That's a bummer about the resin though, have you contacted Noppin to tell them about the issues?

 

I sent a message today to them, ill see what they say xD. Im not expecting anything though, itd probably be more hassle with all the shipping back this faceplate and all.

Got some clothes from iplehouse yesterday, the eid dress i got is too big in the top, but if i pin the back it looks good ill try and take photos soon~

I was just wondering, has anyone tried putting other feet on their zeros? It shouldnt matter about skintone, if the shoes cover them, xD but i wonder if they would fit the ball ankle thing

 

I tried on the Dark Blue brand "Wrinkled Boots" from Tata's Paradise, and while they take a little wiggling (but not forcing) to get on, they're a good fit!!

Not sure if the ankle angle will allow free-standing without support (my girl needs her stringing tightened), but they do fit, and they're cute!

It's good to know those boots work! I restrung my Zero just a little bit ago, and can't imagine why I hadn't done it sooner! I used really thick strings in her upper torso, and tightened her alot, and she's so much better now!

Never heard back from noppin so im stuck with my thing faced latea. Might just get some apoxie and thicken the inside of it just in case~

I'd add some epoxy on the inside, just in case -- just make sure to roll around an eye (non-urethane, preferably glass) inside the socket before the epoxy dries, so that you don't mess up the eyewell shape.

Hello again! I finally got my Latea head! I'll post pictures as soon as I do her faceup, but now I need to get her wig and eyes, but I can't remember what eye size Latea tends to wear, or even if I asked before... I remember she wears about an 8 size wig, though. Sorry if it's already been asked and I just didn't see it. Thanks!

 

Latea wears 16mm. eyes and wig size 8-9. :-)

Thanks Rudy! I'll be going out of town this weekend for a while so I won't have any pictures for a while after that, but I'm hoping to get her faceup finished before I leave. She's supposed to be a grown-up version of my old Sist hybrid, so her eyebrows might prove to be a challenge to get them to have the same expression... We'll see!

 

Cheryll & Vivienne say hi to all Zero fans. SWITCH corsets can fit them just fine (with a little tuck & pull, lol).

I decided to paint my decadent faceplate. Im still not one much for sleepy eyes though~

Gah! So the wig I was going to get for Max on ebay is sold out, (It was 8/9) but the seller is selling another one of the same style\color but in 7/8 size... Since Monique wigs are kinda stretchy, do you think I should give the slightly smaller wig a shot, or just wait until I can find another wig somewhere else? Also I did most of her faceup before deciding I didn't like the way her expression turned out and I've run out of W&N brush cleaner to wipe her (not to mention all my other dolls who need new faceups OTL) and I'm running low on MSC... So it may be a while still before I am ready to show her to you all. But I've secured a body for her! By the end of the week I'll have bought her a Limhwa body, the single jointed type, so she won't have to stay a floating head for much longer! Everyone's girls are so pretty~

 

Not meaning to double-post but nobody else has posted since the last one...

But anyway, Max's body arrived today (Well, yesterday, but I picked it up today) and I'm halfway through her faceup, and her eyes came in the mail a few days ago as well! All she needs now is her wig (gonna get it at my local doll show thingie next weekend) but I have one other wig she can wear until then so I can show her off as soon as I finish her faceup.


EDIT: Erm, I didn't want to TRIPLE post, so I'll just edit this one...

I know she looks cute as a redhead but she's supposed to have short black hair, and she will soon, but still, TADA!

While my two open-eyed faceplates are on their way out to get their faceups done, I was taking some photos of a wig I wanted to sell...
And then I decided I should keep it, and I can also leave the decadent faceplates unpainted (with full white eyes) and have posable statue characters, too.
