Hello everyone!! I've finally decided to jump in Unoa Zero preorder! Finally after a looong consideration

By the way... I'm totally newb about Unoa girls... never have any of them. So... this girl will be my first Unoa Hopefully my order can go through without any problems. Can't wait to join you all

 

Do you guys think that Zero's will eventually be offered in tan like noppin just did with the Unoa Chibi's?

im thinking of holding out now for that possibility.... that would be amazing..

 

You never know I agree with you it would be amazing if she release in Tan... ( I can totally see how hot she would be) but then Unoa Lusis and Sist have not been release in tan before or have they?

 

I don't think Unoa Lusis and Sist themselves have been released in Cocoa, but Unoa 2nd and Chibi have been. Those are the only 2 I know.

 

Oh my gosh Unoa Zeros are being offered for pre-order again?! Mega squee!! Does anyone know what the payment method is and when it is due if ordering directly through the form in Dollybird?

You can order it through noppin shopping service directly. They can do the form for you, but it is only up to 1/18 for the 2nd deadline.

 

I really wish they had bigger and more pictures of the Zero with fairy skin~

 

I'm glad to see there will be more Zero's running around soon! I had a little time to photo my Latea in the first real snow of winter here, she hasn't had much play time lately, and I had almost forgotten how lovely she is!

captainkyo, I feel your pain, I believe I might be the world's most impatient bjd collector! If it helps any though, my Zero has been with me for almost 4 years, and she is still as lovely to me as the day she arrived! Hopefully yours will be your longtime love as well!

Still no update about shipment of Zero Fairy skin. I ordered directly to HJ. How about you guys ordering through Noppin?

 

My girl usually wears 16mm. Captainkyo is well worth the wait they are very beautiful girls. Like Wally I have mine for 5 years ( can't believer is 5 years already!) And I love every single moment I spend with her ^^

does anyone know how much the unon faceplates cost individually? Or the "worth" or what people are charging as that would help, too!

 

the ones ive usually seen run around 150. More if theres a nice faceup~ less if theres a bad mod xD

planning to make a room for my girls~ i was thinking having the floor 36inx27in (just because that would fit nicely in a corner by my bed.

From what I searched in MP, it seems faceplates price is around $140~$150 blank. With make-up might go for $200+?

I'll waiting for 2nd batch dreaming faceplates. Wish they'll arrive soon in May

 

Does anyone's Unoa Zero have grooves for the eyebrows?
(The "normal, eyes open" faceplates have little notches engraved where the eyebrows should be)
The rest of my faceplates DO NOT.
Is this a manufacturing defect?

And... one of my "sleeping face" faceplates... have a hole in the eyelid. Sigh.

 

Izalith, if it's in an area that will be painted over, you can fill in the bubble/hole with a drop of Superglue, and then lightly sand it smooth.

(Still working on getting my indoor photography area set up, making slow progress because I really messed up my back a while ago -- but I have my Zero and Zero/Buff/Ariadoll hybrid all dressed up and ready for sunny weather! It makes me smile to see them sitting with their heads together like they're talking quietly -- they're so pretty together!)

It won't be painted over. So one eye looks like it's... almost closed.
Which is annoying, to say the least.

I also don't get why her "eyebrows" (well, the place they would be) are textured in two faces, when they're completely smooth in the other faces?
Is it a manufacturing defect?

 

It might be the mold they used to make it.
I know over many uses molds. ill change a bit, it might have been made a lotand lost some details of the textured eyebrows.

That's just my guess though.

I won't be keeping my fairy skin girl
but I'm so super excited to have my normal skin!

(And, if not, I would LOVE to know where you got it -- my Oasisdoll Yaoyue wears a Cristal wig, but it's a little ratty and could use an update!)

I'm sure it's been said somewhere already, but I can't find it ... What size wig does Latea wear? I'm hoping to make a Latea hybrid at some point and I don't know what size wig she can wear! Thanks!

SwivelChair, they wear an 8/9 wig. They're honestly closer to an 8 -- not sure what the actual head measurement is, but they run a bit small. Actual 8-9 wigs fit pretty well, but just "SD-sized" wigs are a little big (because they're often sized for 8.5-9.5 or 9-10.)

MuseDoll wigs are a great fit, and one of my girls wears a DollHeart wig, one wears a Volks SD16 wig, and one wears an 8-9 Crobidoll wig. (I have three faceplates, one Zero body, and one Ariadoll/Buff body.)

You can also make the head a little bigger by (officially recommended) buying a silicone wig cap from someplace like DenverDoll, or (improvised and cheap method that I use, although I know I potentially risk a little bit of staining by doing so, although it hasn't happened yet) buying one of those rubber wristband bracelets that are often sold for charities (I bought a number from a charity that I support) and using it as a wig-stop -- that gives just enough extra grip and extra head-circumference that it helps keep wigs from sliding around. (It's not just a Zero thing, I use them on my Dollshe boys and a couple of other dolls.) It doesn't show unless it's a super-short-cropped wig that is fitted around the ears -- and most doll wigs aren't, unless it's a custom mohair wig, in which case you can get it properly fitted in the first place

Wow, do post pics of your girl here when she's all put together -- I can't quite envision "Unon head" divorced from "tall and lanky!" *laughs*

Zaoll and 60cm Narae had about the same size head, I think... sadly, have never seen either in person (that I recall), so it's hard to say. I'll try to get a photo of one of my girls next to a Dollshe boy, so that you have a basis for comparison -- they do look good together!

Which faceplate did you get? Latea has slightly larger-scale features than Marion, so I'd go with Marion for the petite body -- but either could look good with the right wig choice

Hiya I bought a Unoa zero latea and marion in fairy skin from buyee and we got an email saying they received them from the seller but we haven't heard anything else in weeks even though we have emailed the company a few times has anyone else had to wait a while before they contacted you to let you know what was happening and where your doll was? cause I'm getting a bit worried now and they cost a fortune lol xxx

 

My zero arrived today for me! I bought her off someone from Flickr, after giving her a quick cleaning with my magic eraser, and throwing on some clothes
(I found out she does not fit my Luts senior delf girl shoes, or my volks SD16 girl kimono shoes) so i threw some sd13 boy sneakers on her ><

It took almost half day for me to assembled her... glad that finally I got my free time.. even though I assembled her until pass midnite time
Unexpected things... got loads of small parts and joints which needed to be cut and sanded *OTL

Overall... she's so cute and I love her so much... can't wait to finish her faceup
