Specific Doll Unoa Zéro, need help on knees and elbows joins

Nov 17, 2024

    1. Hello everyone

I have 3 Unoa 1.5 and 1 Chibi and i just bought an Unoa Zero Latea and i'm very surprised about her knees and elbows joins. It's a 2010 edition Latea. The seller said she was in perfect condition, without damage or stains but the finishes on her knees and elbows are rough. It looks like the resin has been scraped and the joints are modified. This is the first time I've seen finishes like this with Alchemic Labo. But apparently I'm not the only one. I read some surprises here and there, on the web but without pics. Could you tell me if it's normal or if the doll was actually modified, please ?

I will really appreciate your help because I don't know if I should return the doll or if everything is ok

      Many thanks :abow:

    2. I personally always felt AL had a rougher quality to it, considering the dolls are usually intended to be received as kits you finish yourself.
I'd argue for a 14 year old AL cast, the above is to be expected. Some of the "damages" also look more like "not fully smoothened out master" to me.

But that's just from me handling some AL in the past for painting/in my friend's collections.
Would still wait for a Latea owner to chime in/post into one of the AL or Unoa threads to reach out to collectors directly if you haven't yet.

    3. I checked the market archives and saw the same thing on other dolls. So you're probably right, but yes, I will wait for approval here or on ista from an Unon owner. :thumbup
