Unoa hybrids? Other bodies that work with Unoa face plates (part 1)

I know this may sound ridiculous,but obitsu 45cm white with a sist white bully plate?
What do you guys think?
Is there a headback or a way I could make one to fit the obitsu?

Her Minifee body has been modded perfectly; she can move her head up, down and sidewards without any problems whatsoever. Also, according to the face-up artist (Sweetly Twisted), she has been blushed to match her body, but not all that heavily.

Just thinking of getting a MNF body for my unoa head. I am wondering if I purchase a brand new on from Fairyland will Normal skin match better or White skin match better. So I do aware that in some pic that the NS body could look a bit at the pink side. As sometimes unoa face plate tends to be a bit on the pale side of pink. Anybody have an idea for this?

 

cutemeow, I bought a Normal Skin and I think it matches better than the white skin. It's just pinker than Unoa resin. You'll have to do a resin match, but from the resin color difference I can tell you this won't be a headache or anything.

 

I have used Kid Delf Bodys and AOD bodys for my unoa hybrids and the kid delf by far is the most beautiful and poseable and normal skin matches really well with 1.5 faceplate if blushed nicely. You can view one on my signature. :-)

 

One more of my girl... Please tell me to stop if you get sick of seeing her! I'll do some nekkid body shots soon.

I still like how MNF body look although I saw someone with a lati body looks fab but I think MNF body is better in pose right? Humm AOD body never though of that now you get me thinking... do you know where I can find a pic of it with a Unoa head on it?

 

I didn't forget my promise! I finally got my Akubi on a chic line body! (I'm actually going to put my Sist and moded Lusis on a fairyland body, my Lusis and Akubi will keep the original Unoa body)

I'm debating if I like this body of the MNF body better (my MNF Chloe want the chic line body so I'll still have to get my Sist and moded Lusis a body of their own).

 

I agree, that doesn't look half bad, guls207 ! Although she looks very slender compared to the regular Unoa body!!

In other hybrid news: my Dollndoll Diamond body just got shipped. Yay! So again, 14 days after ordering. Amazing! It'll probably almost spend longer in Customs, sigh!

Julia is so pretty!!!!!!! Lol I agree that the c-line unoa hybrid looks very slender! That's why I might let my Chloe keep it be cause she looks MUCH younger on the c-line body (since she's supposed to be a lot younger than my unoas, it works out! ).

Hey all! I finally got round to wiring and hot-glue sueding my Soulkid body this morning. And guess what... it's back in the race as a possible hybrid body for my Lusis! It is 100% better at posing now!

I used something the lady at the hardware store called 'construction wire', in 2 mm for the legs, 1.5 mm for the arms. Unfortunately, they only had it in brown and black, but I think she'll mostly wear clothes anyhow.

 

Your unoa's faceup is so beautiful Meike May I ask who painted her?

 

Of course! It was done by Sweetly Twisted, who's in The Netherlands (like I am). I adore her work!

 

I thought I'd come in here to post a few pictures of my Unoa - Angel of Dream hybrid:



The head is an Unoa B-el madoromi (eye opening by me), the body is an Angel of Dream MT boy body version 2 in normal yellow.
I love the proportions, the body poses pretty well (his hand stays like that!) and the resin match is actually quite good. He needs a body blushing tho, but that's for another weekend.

Shes quite different from my Chibi, the CH body has a little potbelly and is overal way more a childs body.

guls207, the c-line body is pretty! How can you blame Hyato? How is its movability?
With a head on the Angel of Dream body measures 46cm. My other hybrid, a Narin, will be on the Soulkid body which is 44cm, if I'm correct. They are really lanky and boyish, so it will be a nice contrast to Dürrenmatt's AoD body.

 

Lol Hyato poses pretty well! The c-lines pose like minifee so he's a lot of fun to play around with! One of his ankles are a bit difficult because it wont stay put, but I think some hot glue should fix that up with no other problems. Ageha poses like a dream! Eventually when I have the patients, I want to do a ballet photo shoot with these two! Lol!

 

I finally got my unoa hybrid done.

Unoa B-el and a DollnDoll Body.
The match is 85% perfect.

 

I thought I'd share some photos of my girl/s
They are both on the same Doll in Mind body, which is really white by the way, but the difference in color doesn't bother me so much. I've sanded down the neck a bit, and currently, I am leaving the body to 'tan' under the sunlight

My Sist - the faceplate dates way back to 2000, so i guess she has yellowed a lot



My L-bi girl - the faceplate is a bit darker than the body but the resin match is ok for me (sorry for the ugly photos!) The color difference seems to vary depending on the light actually. Sometimes it doesn't seem like there is much color difference at all, sometimes, the color difference bothers me T_T



oh and I'm not quite sure about it, but do the male faceplates (l-bi and b-el) have bigger neck holes than the girl faceplates do? It just seemed to me that my Sist faceplate looks relatively smaller on the body than the L-bi does. Or is it just because the L-bi faceplate is longer

 

Hiya, my Sist has been borrowing a CH Junior Ai body of late (which has been quite a nice match).



However, I have just received my CH head back from the faceup artist and she would really like her body back, lol.

So I am again seaching for a suitable body for my Sist. I came across the Atelier Muse Petite body and was wondering if anyone had considered this a match for Unoa before? I couldn't find anything on Flickr or here. Thoughts?

 

I bought headback just for this hybrid match, but the neck needs sanding slightly as there was hardly any movement up and down.

The Junior Ai body looks good....what is the head movement like please?

Head movement with Junior Ai is really good. No sanding required. I would be quite happy to stick with this body, but would not chance another order with AiDolls until they clear their backlog of orders.

I made a hybrid with my Sist faceplate Soom Rosette lady body. If anyone is looking for a nice tall alternative. The proportion seems to work well because the Rosettes have similar sized heads and the body is mature looking. The body poses like a dream!

 

Sugarlump...I LOVE that Ai body your girl is on....looks so nice! I would like to know about the Musedoll body as well so if you hear anything, be sure to post.

Guls, your boy is FAB and that Rosette body looks sooo great! I was thinking it would work but wasn't sure until seeing your pics...a really nice option for people wanting a taller body

My kid delf/Unoa hybrid is complete and the resin match is really good. Head tends to look upward more than I'd like but not too bad....I'm happy with my girl but I have more faceplates in need of bodies and will continue to try other options. I have a dollndoll body on order since FOREVER...hope it arrives soon....it's been a few months now.

I have tried to match the Unoa fp I have (lusis) with a rosette soom body from a friend and the fp does'nt adapt with the headback of a rosette body. Anyway, I think it will be a good match because the rosette body is very slender and fine. The resin color of a rosette body is a little bit pink and my fp Unoa is a little bit yellow so, it didn't match for color. But with a new or nearly new fp, it will be good.
I don't have any pictures for now but I can ask my friend to lend me her doll when I will see her.

 

Hey guys just to clarify, for my Sist rosette hybrid, the faceplate is blushed darker and more pink. The headback I used was a unoa headback (the rosette headback will not work, but is very easy to remove).

 

To sugarlump….well I am in the rather embarrassing position of having to say that my comment to you above was wrong
(It was the comment about the Musedoll mini body as a possible hybrid).

I had tried to use and I had found that the neck just looked too long, but that was because I simply hadn’t worked hard enough at the position of the headback.

The headback just would not hold position far enough forward on the neck of the Musedoll body, and therefore when the Unoa faceplate was fixed on, the neck looked too long and the face looked un-naturally placed and permanently looking up.
Hence my negative comment above

But I went away and read all the posts here, and I saw that making a Unoa hybrid required a little more work than just a head switch.

So I tried again

And at last I have discovered that by using a small Kip between headback and neck, and masking tape to hold the faceplate on, it works

What do you think?

I am sorry about the blue-ish caste to the photos here but the resin match is almost spot on in real life to the body, but not to the headback which is more pink in colour.

Arisha, MNF body works great with Unoa FPs, I myself had Lusis girl on minifee body, and the proportions were great. Both your girls look wonderful, but Sist is truly amazing with her golden brown short hair and dark yellow eyes. They suit her perfectly. Lusis eyes are a bit smaller, and though she is amazing wearing these ones, maybe it will be a good idea to play with smaller size Good luck on buying a DollNDoll body and making the second beautiful girl!

I finally did it. Really didn't think I was going to, I was too scared to mess about with the MNF neckpiece (lame I know), I even put her faceplate and headback up on the MP. But I got over myself and got her damn head on and I couldn't be happier! The resin match is good and the headback fits pretty well, she can't look down but I'm not too fussed about that. Right now I'm just pleased she exists.

Francess is a Unoa Lusis Modded hybrid on a Doll-leaves BOY body.
The resin match is pretty much spot on[NS with NS, dont know which ver. is the Unoa though, probably 1.0?]
And proportion is very, very good, I love this hybrid!

The doll-leaves body is very petite compared to other normal MSDs.
