Mimou yes, 10 mm eyes look completely different, more vivid and expressive. Your girl is charming, such a gentle face! Does she have moles, am I right? That's so sweet.

And I love composition of your picture, it is so natural and harmonious.

Gamayun, thank you, yes she does have little moles I painted on! I always thought they made dolls look so much more lifelike and I love them on her, they really give her character!

Well, I took the time to have my girl model some unused clothes and wigs I was going to sell but now it's getting kind of hard to because she looks so frakking good in everything. I swear, they can get their way with me all the and I WOULDN'T mind. Darn these Unoas and their pretty, pretty faces...

Sometimes, when I look at this thread, I cannot believe the diversity of looks Unoas can have. 1000 Unoas, 1000 different but all beautiful girls.

 

When looking for Unoa clothes, pattern, etc, are they usually made for the small or big boobs part?

Thank you everyone for the congrats! My poor girl has her head at the spa and her body is getting a new chest ^_^.

I am still a bit nervous about assembling her. I do not usually sand seams (or have them seamed) and I am wondering if it is necessary to get rid of all the extra little resin pieces...hmm...I should go surf the assembly thread...

 

OH I dread restringing when I change out the chest!
I'm nervous to take the face plates off...LOL

I can't wait to have more faceplates!

 

Don't worry about it! As you'll cut the little extra pieces of resin carefully, patiently sand her, string her... You'll notice that you get more and more confident about it. And this is the best bonding experience. I could NEVER sell Nasreen. She's MY girl more than any of my other dolls, as much as I love all my other dolls.

The extra resin pieces are rather inesthetic, and so (I find), is the shinyness of the unsanded Unoa resin. I feel that it really is worth it to sand all the pieces to get rid of the seams, especially if you want to try yourself at body blushing on her. Edit: Sanding also helps to MSC adhere better (less flaking of the MSC).

Changing faceplates is rather easy, and if that case reassure you, I think Unoa is so well made that she's one of the easiest dolls to take apart and restring. If I remember, all the pieces have writing inside that says R (right) or L (left). Recently, I was restringing my CP Juri 2005... Her arms were moving awkwardly... Until I noticed that I had put the right arm on the left and vice versa. :

I think it usually says... Maybe you could ask DominiqueB, she's very knowledgable about patterns and these kinds of stuff. Personnally, I can tell you that when I buy Unoa clothes, they fit on Nasreen, who has the "large milk part". I always loved that name! So poetic.

 

Thank you for all the info Fereshteh ! I think I will take off as much resin as possible, but I am still unsure about seams. All my girls have their seams...I just like how "toy" like it makes them lol. But knowing me I will get to working on those little resin bits and just end up doing the whole thing!

MichelleP did you build her or was she already put together?
I am so excited to build her. She just has the small bust part and mine broke so I had to get a new one (it actually arrived with a crack through the shoulder blade). I couldn't find a "large milk part" so I just got the smaller piece that she came with at first. Either way I am excited! I am going to blush her body as well, but I only have pastels and msc so I am wondering how well it will work. I also want to paint her nails with a pretty gloss coat. None of my other girls have this so they will totally be jealous

Ahyu wow, gorgeous girl! My congratulations! I remember Lulu like a girl off Harayuku Station with those lovely bunny ears but this look fits her amazingly. Very beautiful girl and incredibly gentle face up!

Fereshteh + 100! Unoa is a miracle, so changeble and different, maybe she has not very many molds but she does have thousands faces

 

Okay I have a question that may be a long shot... I'm looking for those adorable black Unoa glasses. Any clues where to find some (couldn't find any in the marketplace) and what price they usually go at?

I too love how versatile Unoas can be. I personally think they're the only dolls that can pull off sexy, cute and beautiful all in one perfect doll. (I'm just biased, lol)

[ETA] @MrsJDean: They had a pre-order on the glasses and other option parts through Crescent shop about... a week ago I think? Augh, I still regret not buying the hands options before they ran out just a day before the order was closed...

I sold a pair of Unoa glasses in the marketplace for $30. I believe I bought them in the pre-order for about $17 before shipping. Did they not have any for sale in the last preorder?

They just look good in almost every wig style in every colour and any clothing. -faints- If my girl didn't 'decide' that she's a brown-eyed choco-brown haired girl, I'd have bought so many more things for her to wear 'for fun'. Mimou thank you very much! I'm very glad you like her Yes, I used to buy her long wigs in romantic or sweet style and I tried the bob wig on just for fun but it looks amazingly on her.

 

I'm a little confused about ordering from Crescent Shop, I've never bought anything from them before. Do I have to put down a deposit in order to reserve the faceplates, or can I just place the order and pay later?
