Uncanny Dreams 2012 Discussion

I have a few questions:
I might have to work that day, but if I show up at 2-2:30 will I still be able to get my badge?
And since I have to work I might have to have my fiance bring me there, would he be able to get in as well just to keep me company while I wander around?

 

it has been brought up a few times and i was hoping for some clarification. do we know how many tickets will be available at the door for those who did not preregister? last year it was a huge turn out and some did show up late.

Yay! Just got back from a wonderful time at this year's show! The displays were amazing, the vendors room was fantastic, and there were so many great raffle prizes! Another super awesome event! A million thanks to fenris for putting this together

Here's a sneak peek at my surprise mini-display, a moth-drawn chariot!

 

I had a really great time! Maybe next year I'll come prepared and actually make something awesome to contribute or enter a contest with. :p

I can tell it's been a while since my last doll-related event... my doll-holding arm is killing me! Or maybe Arlian just needs to lay off the junk food a bit. Egad.

 

It was a fun show I hope to be able to be a vendor next year!

Fenris and Crew: you guys ROCK! We had a blast, made new friends and visited with old. It could not of gone any better. Already plans are rumbling around in my head for next year. Can't express thanks enough for this and all the hard work that went into making it happen. Dd and I had the best time!

 

Thanks for the great show! It was fun to see all the different dolls and displays.

 

It was a lovely time--my apologies all, as I was unable to come back--I had a call from work on unwell servers, which wouldn't have made me good company. But it was brilliant, and I am already dying for next year--how can I have bought so many wigs but not have gotten more? So confusing...

Hi Im from Spokane washington my name is patti, I just bought my first 4 dolls. I had no idea there were meetup anywhere in the us except for the Volks Doll parties Ive read about in the Fashion Doll Quarterly.
I would realy love to meet Doll people here.

Uncanny Dreams 2012 Discussion thank-you Fenris for posting the information on the washington bjd show. I am planning on going next year! I,m new I just got my new first BJdoll. Im so excited. I have so much to learn!

 

In addition to several large events like Uncanny, there are also smaller dollmeets all over the US, usually you can find some in the Doll Meeptups section:

Also, eastern WA has a small BJD forum of their own, you'd be surprised how many people near you have dolls!
