Amazing work everyone!! I love seeing all of the variations in style and size!! Mio-Neko: Her dress and socks are Volks, shoes are ReleaseRain from eBay.
Hi everyone!! Over four years later this tutorial is still going strong! I have loved seeing everyone's photos and getting advice and tips from other sewers. Since I made this tutorial my doll family has expanded, so I have made more blankets!! I have also made some for friends. Please continue to make this blanket and post your photos for us to see!! Great work everyone!!
i love this tutorial and plan to make a blanket for my incoming doll. The fabrics in your picture are beautiful, btw. Where'd you get them?
Hello! Glad you liked the tutorial and are going to give it a try! I would love to see your results, so please post some photos!! The cotton (inside) fabrics are from a Japanese quilting shop in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and I believe they are imported from Japan. Wish I could tell you more about them but that's all I know!
I shall be sure to post when I do. I wish I knew of a Japanese shop here, maybe I'll have a look in the yellow pages. XD
I always thought the fleece should be on the inside too, and that's how I made mine many, many years ago! Though I didn't do it b/c I was afraid of staining, I just thought it would be more fun with the patterned fabric on the outside so everyone can see it! XD
I just made this and it works/looks great! ahaha when I got home from the fabric store though I realized I forgot the ribbing ^^; it still turned out well without it though
