Contest Triathlon: Up to Eleven - Winners Announced!

Awww! That graphic is so sweet, I think I might print it out and put it in my doll's diorama

 

I'm thinking t-shirts for the dolls I pressed into service for this.

 

When can we expect to see the results?

 

Is voting officially closed? Can we share which entries were ours? I've got a collage all prepped and ready.

Woooow! Fourth!?? When I saw my wig score I was shocked. I shrieked when I saw how I did on the shoes, my mouth hung open for minutes. I never imagined I'd get this far. These were my entries. Thank you everybody, for liking my work! This was a personal best for me, and I'm really proud of what I accomplished.

So happy with what I achieved, I would never ever have believed I'd be able to make a wig even at the beginning of this, it's been amazing.

 

I had so much fun participating in the triathlon and am already looking forward to next year's!

Emmaboo, I positively LOVED your fox shoes! They're so adorable.
EleanorAnne, your wig was one of my favorites! I love that there's a hidden RickRoll in your photo.

I do hope everybody posts their entries, I'm not savvy and can't figure out who did what without it being spelled out. ^^; I really want to commend the person who made the wig of forks - seriously, they made my day. And the owner of the Saint in the competition, your final outfit was so wonderful.

I'm grateful to have been able to get all the votes even though I didn't qualify for a prize (I won a raffle in the triathlon four years ago and got my prize this spring) because it was a lot of fun to participate, be recognized for my efforts, and the ego boost is really uplifting after a personally difficult summer. I'm overwhelmed by my success this year. I hope nobody feels like the points those of us who have won before took away from their own chances. I went to borderline insane lengths to make my entries perfect this year and take above and beyond photos. It is an extremely difficult competition to finish, and I never dreamed I'd place so high, ever, and I sincerely hope that everybody keeps participating, pushing themselves, and keeps taking chances regardless of the potential outcome. Do it for you.

So apparently unless pics are posted, or the NUMBER assigned to each entrant is matched to the person, we have NO way of knowing which entries won? Cause that's annoying. At LEAST could the pictures of the winners be posted, please? By the moderators? We all took lots of time to try to figure out who to vote for, & not getting a clear answer on how our favorites did is highly frustrating. (when I said I had to go minimal on my outfit, I was serious XD)

I was *so* happy when I saw someone used my shoes as inspiration for their outfit I put a lot of love into those so seeing someone else's inspiration based on them made me giddy.

Also, PositivelyThrifty, I adored your wig. I had a similar idea that I had to scrap because I couldn't figure out how to pull it off so when I saw yours I was excited.

 

Its made of super sculpey original , paper towels, tin foil (inside the unicorn) and nail polish

Here are my entries! My nickname was Flare. It's so cool to see everyone's entries! This was so much fun and very inspiring! This is my first Triathlon

 

I hope nobody minds and I'd love to see what the entries were made of! Some have been really puzzling me! Haha!

 

I don't have any reason to object, even though I didn't finish (can't imagine anyone being interested in mine, though). I might take the idea I had for the last round and make it out of fabric. I couldn't get it to work with the materials I'd chosen (and it was too late to switch after I'd discovered that). Of course I had an idea that would have worked after the contest was closed (isn't that always the way).

 

Oooh that sounds great! I'm okay with it and I would love to hear more about the different ones!

Who made the animal totem pole looking shoes/boots? I loved those!! Entry 33 for the shoes.

 

I loved so MANY of the shoes - OMG it was the hardest one to vote since I liked about 25 pretty much equally LOL Those Fox shoes, the animal totem ones, the tan Oxfords (good grief they look like real suede!), Nixsy's cutout ones, citrushearted's gypsy boots, Quiet & Insane's boots that matched that wig SO well, MorganOrton's boots, a ton of others - just fabulous shoes

 

You did an amazing job on those platform shoes!

 

Those Oxfords were so great! I adored the shoes with the quilling (entry #7), they were fantastic!

Feels unfair to allow pervious winners to be part of the pool of entries to be voted on. Not that I got a lot of votes. Just really gets depressing when you get so few.

 

I'm excited though. Last year I got three votes and I am fairly sure all of them were my mother voting because she recognized my doll.
This year I got eleven votes! And one of them may have been my mother voting because she recognized my doll, but she didn't realize the event was going on until the last week, and I'm not entirely sure that she even voted for week 3. That means I got ten or eleven more non-mother votes than I did last year! And hopefully next year I will get more!
