Bjd related - I finally found my grail doll & was able to purchase her after wanting her for what, 16 years or so. She’s the doll that made me want to join the hobby all those years ago - SDC Kaede.

non bjd related - my family threw my baby brother and I a surprise graduation party in the backyard today and it was grand. :3
And yesterday, I got to go to a blm protest and spoke to the crowd!

 

Birds singing. Full stop. When I moved to Arkansas, I was really surprised at how loud the summer morning birdsong is in the wooded areas around our house, it is such a pleasure to wake to that every morning.
Doll related - Dollfie World Cup! So excited and practicing lashes...so many painted little lashes...

edit to add: Unoa 1.5 faceplates. Preferably in multiples. When I find a doll windfall. All 3 happenings together? Triple Win! These FP will bring me closer to completing 2 of my existing hybrid characters that have been stalled for a very long time.
Now I have a package to anticipate!

Non-BJD related today:

5,827 words written, two chapters completed [including one that was started at just 16:00 this afternoon = 4,500 words in about 6hrs]. Two more days off to get as much as I can down.

I'm feeling confident. Maybe, a little too much.

 

Non-bjd related: we have a bird feeder in our garden. I really like seeing fledglings coming to eat. One pair of sparrows this year I think are a brother and sister, and the sister sits on the fence and ruffles her wings while her bro eats. One year I saw a mother sparrow bring her 3 fledgling babies to the feeder, and they would sit on the fence and wait for her to feed them one by one. It was so cute! The little one always lagged behind.

I also like when my dog comes in from outside, looking super fluffy XD (she's a samoyed)

bjd related - got a doll project that I'm excited to attempt. It's really ambitious, I've never used dye before, and it's fantasy style. I really hope I can do good by this doll!

 

My granddaughter graduated from University of Texas Austin with 2 BAs, Sociology and Psychology. I am so happy for her!
I ordered 30cm Granado Galileo, can't wait to get him. I'm still waiting on my Zen jointed hands from them, they told me they were ready but they haven't shipped. I'm being patient.
Both of my vampires now have Rococo outfits, I finished them and they look great.

 

Non BJD : I finally got a fan. It’s so hot I couldn’t sleep. It’s a complete game changer!

BJD : I got a shipping notice from Mandarake today! I’m expecting a Volks SD13 body, cute SD optional holding hands and one of my grail outfits, a long discontinued FCS Sato Volks outfit!! I’ve wanted it for years.

 

Sort-of non BJD: I just got my first pair of glasses. I am very near sighted now, so I can't see things clearly from the other side of the room. But now everything exists in HD! I've been enjoying looking at all my dolls around my room and being able to see them all CLEARLY without having to get up and walk over! It's the little things.

BJD: I just got one of my grails, which I didn't think I would ever be able to get! I'd just gotten paid, didn't have any bills, it unexpectedly came back in stock...the stars were aligned! Here's a picture of him, my new Volks Masamune, with my other new guy, a Volks F-20.

BJD: virtual meet on Discord with other owners and we laughed a lot! Something simple but it really makes me feel so good.

 

Non-Bjd related: I'm on bed rest and one of my cats often comes up to me and let's me pet her tummy ^^

 

I'm thankful I got to sleep in late today! I'm thankful I cleared up a misunderstanding with a customer before they tried to meet me on the wrong day. I'm thankful I got a good amount of work done today!

 

Bjd: I got a very cute bed/couch for Julchen (Pukifee), so she can now sleep properly.
Non bjd: My parents will be coming today for a week long visit. I haven’t seen them for 7 months, but now my hometown is coronafree for several weeks, we think it’s sure enough.
