I checked the measurements on ACBJD too and I'm in genuine tears. His chest is 46.5cm wide. He could legitimately cradle my entire MSD girl against his big bosom with room to spare, like this Twitter cat meme.

I'd like to just say again, as it's been mentioned at least once or twice already here but...Nobility Doll's Full Operation Ryoma's "Press papilla good feel.." spring-loaded nipples have been sending me since they first came out. My boy's (yes, I happily own one!) pen-clicker nips bring me endless amusement. I will forever have that saying under my avatar because it makes me laugh all the time. xD

Also I find endless amusement in assessing BJD "owls". Which...is when you view a dolls lower torso from a certain angle it resembles said bird. (especially if you put some eyes in it..haha)

 

Oh my goodness I was scrolling through a dealer site a few months ago, I forget which one now, but they used an 'owl' as a placeholder photo for what I assume was eyes they were selling and I had to do a double take when I first saw it like, "what is that???" ... Then after staring at it for a few seconds I realized what it was and just cracked

This might be my new favorite thread. What I find hilarious that have previously been mentioned: the alternate names for genitalia, the subject line “help me identify this body” and floating heads.

I don’t remember which company offered these (maybe around 2010?): tiny resin brain that fit in the doll’s head.

Owning a doll that has a head with hyper pointed elf ears and a set of animal magnet ears on top. And every time the animal parts are put on and the wig is styled to hide the elf ears, I totally forget about the elf ears. Then I go to pose the head, and OUCH!!! I stab my thumb on the stupid elf ears, every, single, darn, time.

I'll never learn. And that's just a hilarious fact.

So now I threaten the doll whenever it happens, "If you keep biting me, Mister, I'll hack them off!!! I mean it!!!!"

I bought a Dollshe Hound on the Old Hound body secondhand. When I got him, he'd been stuffed into what I assume was a Volks SD13 outfit (I tried it on an SD17 but it was far too tight).
The pants he was in had a hole in the crotch, which I assumed was just wear and tear. I put him in a pair of handmade boxers and tried posing him a bit, then rip – identical crotch hole.
Turns out the Old Hound body's genitalia is really great at destroying pants. What the hell, Dollshe...

I speak some Chinese, so I would sometimes hang around the Chinese-speaking doll circles. While the English speakers refer to pieces of doll body parts as simply "Unstrung", the Chinese folks use a much more descriptive term: "Cadaver pieces."

You see people selling second hand dolls with descriptions like: "No eyes, no clothes, no makeup (they refer to faceups as just "makeup"), just naturally yellowed cadaver pieces."

Not gonna lie. It made do a few double-takes before I realised what they were talking about!
