Contest The Wicked Sweet Triathlon [Multi-Skill] - WINNER POSTED (Post 964)

Jul 3, 2011

    1. OMG KARKAT WON! *SLAPS SELF*

      Congratulations! :D

    2. Congrats FunnyLori!

    3. I loved your fire pair! they got my vote =)

    4. Sign-up for postcard and sig button is not up yet right?

Just want to make sure I didn't miss it. Thanks! :)

    5. I don't know if the winner has been posted yet?? Roxxihearts might be referring to Nightmarereally's great cheshire kitty doppel, which looks like the character Karkat Vantas.

Now to catch up on the pictures. Large batch post warning! ;)

sephydoll, I'm sorry you weren't able to enter the 2nd event, because your light source is really nifty.

kurohitori, loved your cute little undie outfit.

Blanchanador, I really like your light fixture and the background painting. I'd like a room like that in my own house!

Phoebe, the Shrinky-Dink Doppel was amazing. You really think outside the box.

Maya Cecile, I loved your "Golden Arches" light source. Too funny!

Gracia, your undie dress was one of my favorites.

allanieew, I liked your entries in every round, but especially that beautiful blue dress. And ice cubes on the chandelier, how clever!

pippin, your doppel was one of my favorites. He looked both cute and creepy.

whitewings, the duck egg was so clever. Sorry it broke. :(

BabySnow, your doppel stood out to me because it looked so much like the original. I also liked that the doll was building the doppel.

NY_Kitty, your doppel made me laugh! It looks so maniacally gleeful, and your doll looks so alarmed.

EriChanHime, loved your undie outfit and your scary, almost-faceless doppel.

Pinkeed, your elaborate sets were a standout!

    6. Thank you Alewife:chocoheart, I should have taken a better picture, but it was done in an extremely hot day...

    7. Thanks!
Took me a days to figure them out and put them together. Glad someone noticed. :)

    8. angelynx-prime, thank you!! I was quite impressed with your itty-bitty candle holder. You must have tiny fingers to be able to make it all work lol Are they father and son, your two dollies in the light/shadow photo??

Alewife, thanks :) It's not too original, but I had tons of fun making it - and there is always next year ;)

skyealloway - loved the colours of your outfit! I thought it was really cute and very comfy looking :)

The 3 shadow caster winners are just amazing. Together, they make a wonderful collage!

I am trying to find out who was the designer of the yoga outfit in the risque challenge... I thought it was a pretty clever design.

    9. I didn't get a lot of votes, but I had a lot of fun! These were mine:
      [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Sephydoll, now I'm curious, both about who made the yoga outfit, and about which outfit you mean when you say "yoga" (I'm guessing the one with one legwarmer, but there were a few that looked like the right sort of thing to me).

    10. Am I the only one that feels like this is still a great party? What does everyone plan to do with their entries now that the contest is over?

I plan to properly finish the chicken llama and the doppelganger. I also want to learn how to sew better.

    11. I don't know what I'm gonna do with my dopple. I luv the ray gun and the outfit I made so my girl will be using those. At the moment she is already wearing the shorts and hat that I made in the first challenge :).

I'm really happy I was able to join these challenges cause before my girl I never knew I could make patterns and sew >_<. She's only been with me for 1 and a half month so I think I did good. Now I hope I can get motivated again to make her something new. But I'm like stressing about taking pattern making to a new level >_< but everybody's entries inspired me not to be afraid and just do it.

    12. It's such a great party that no one wants to leave! LOL!

I plan to take apart my doppel and give her joints... and arms... mount the wings on her back. Make her into a proper BJD.

BTW who made the pipe cleaner doppel? It was so cute. I wished they had made the final photo in color, so you could see all the details, the fuzzy pink organs and so on. :)

    13. undermost - it was a gray and purple-ish yoga outfit with a yoga bag... I am wondering if I can still find the photo if I go to the voting link... I'll reference the photo if I find it again :)

Edit: Found it!!!! Hope it is ok for me to post this here, even if it's not my image? Koodos whoever did this outfit. I want it!! :)

I also loved this one as it got my fave vote!!

    14. Yes, that one was awesome! I love the jacket!
This was the other one I thought looked quite yoga-ish (entry 52).

    15. Oh yeah! That one is kind of like a swim-suit / hot yoga outfit :)
There were so many great entries. Too bad we could only vote for 3.

    16. I think if we'd had 10 votes I still would have been hemming and hawing and scratching my head trying to decide! Amazing talent!

    17. WOW! Congratulations to EVERYONE who submitted entries. I am blown away by the creativity and fun.:D

    18. Congrats to all!!!
I cant wait to see the progress journals!!!

      @ Fransyung
OMG the doppelganger one was yours!
That was my favorite!! It was so cool! :fangirl:

And the little sweet shop was so cute!
I loved the little outfits from Risque Business!
Especially seeing their lives start out as simple
      underwear! ><

You guys did fantastic and were super brave!

    19. Thanks, Anno! *hugs* :D I'm glad you like the doppel...!! And the sweet shop robbery! :3

    20. That was my entry. I'm glad you liked it. :) It took forever to hand sew all the detail on the pants.

    21. I'm so sorry for the delay - I got busy over the weekend actually working on the doll itself and packing up Fers (and, uh, watching the entire first season Glee)....

The winner of the LTP Raffle is Bandersnatch, aka FunnyLori!

    22. OMG YAY!!!!!! :XD::XD: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! *flail*

    23. Congrats, FunnyLori!

    24. Thank you so much!!! Armeleia's sculpts are so wonderful! I'm so lucky and excited!

Thank you!!! The outfit really reminds me of Ashbet. :XD: I saved the pattern for the pants, the top was more organically made. I'll definitely be making more bottoms for my girl.

The Elf Zap cracks me up too! My cat really wanted in on the business. It wasn't until after I submitted my photo that I realized he was in that photo too. LOL!

Thank you! It was so fun to put together. I was giggling the whole time. The room was completely dark except for the Elf Zap and my husband walked in on me taking long exposures with my Bambicrony elf Pepe trio caught in the light. He almost fell over laughing too.

    25. XD Congrats, Funnylori!!!!

    26. Thank you! I'm over the moon! Some months from now a small package full of adorable will land on my door step. :XD: It is a magical feeling.

    27. Congratulations, FunnyLori!!

    28. Booo-Ya! You go girl, you go on with your bad self!

    29. Eeeeee, congratulations, FunnyLori!!! :D :D :D

      -- A <3

    30. Ooh, you're so lucky (although talent surely played a part, as well)! Congrats!

    31. P.S. Why is it that whenever leopard-print and cleavage come into the discussion, everyone always says that they think of me??

      LOL,

      -- A :XD:

    32. Hee, I think it's just years of experience in other teeny-scale crafts, like loom beading. =) --actually, it was a cosplay scene: loyal butler Sebastian watching over his young master, Ciel Phantomhive, who is absurdly wealthy and distressingly kidnap-prone. =) Both from the anime and manga Kuroshitsuji ("Black Butler"). I've already been taking Shao and Tsuki to cons in cosplay as these characters for a year or so, so the scene pretty much designed itself.

    33. Thank you! :D I'm so lucky!

Thank you! I feel so fortunate.

:XD: Thank you! I had so much fun playing along!

Cause yours is the best! :thumbup Also Unoa = AshbetLove seems a fair assumption. :aheartbea

    34. Thank you!! I sure hope so. :D And maybe a small dash of my sense of humor? :P

    35. Congrats FunnyLori :)!

    36. Congrats on winning the raffle FunnyLori!

    37. Congratulations on your win, FunnyLori! I hope you spam the boards with her when she arrives. ;)

    38. Thank you so much! :)

Thank you! I still can't believe it! :D

Thank you! I promise I will do just that! :D:D

    39. Not sure if this is the place to ask, but is there any chance there will be more official DoA sewing contests? That would be awesome.

    40. Was there a sign-up spot for the Triathlon Badges that I missed somewhere?

    41. Seconding that question ^__^

    42. double post - sorry :(

    43. Eeh, I forgot about this... D: Armeleia, has there a button already?

    44. No buttons?

    45. Seconding this!

    46. Thirding this!

    47. Maybe someone with graphics skills (not me, as I have none!) could make a button and submit it to armelia or the mods for approval? I'm guessing they are really busy, and I' bet that they'd appreciate the effort.

    48. We are busy, guys, but we haven't forgotten you! :) Please be patient a little longer, and you'll have your official buttons. Thanks!
