    2. Alewife... I voted for your UFO... ^^ I really love the photo!

    3. Thanks! That's funny, cuz I really hated that light one in the end >.< Tis true thou, I did get a lot of different pictures from that shoot. Need to do a gallery thread of something. shoot, I could probably even make up a photostory ^_^

Oh, and I loved your lotus girl light. I voted for it ~_^

Vaex I really honestly thought you'd be the winner of the doppelganger challenge, you scuplting skills are wicked awesome!

    4. [IMG]

I have no idea what to do with the chicken llama now.

(I put up images that were behind cuts for the contest. ;) )

I was Shere Khan, and I am so honored to have done so well this year! Thank you to everyone who voted for me! :aheartbea

The level of talent this year was incredible. It was truly a pleasure to see everyone's entries each week.

    6. These are very good. Oddly, I don't remember seeing them, but they're very very good~!

    7. skyealloway, thanks so much for the wonderful compliment! Would you believe that it was my first time sculpting anything other than the staff I did for the second challenge? This triathlon helped me discover a new set of skills that I really enjoy, and even though I didn't win, I still came out of this with a doll that I love~ :D

    8. vtheyoshi, I wondered if all three of those entries were by the same person, and I see they are! They were among my favorites in every round. The kitty PJs are absolutely adorable.
northernraven, loved your undie dress. It was straight out of Project Runway.
fransyung, thanks! I did the photo shoot outside at night, and was getting some very strange looks from the neighbors. :)

    9. I loved the chicken llama. It's really wonderful. :aheartbea

I should probably write up a quick list of why each LTP entry was picked...

    10. Okay admittedly I'll put up another batch once more reveals go up

Northern Raven- Chicken lama! Omg thats so funny! Okay i can relate I still have no idea what to do with a steam ship from LAST year! its been sitting on top of my china cabinate for a year.. where it is now cozied up with the other entries from this year!

Also any number of my littlefees think you should open a chicken lama ride.. they would be first in line.

    11. I luv yer outfit so much. Ye got me with all the ruffles and the neck piece just lovely.

Can anyone tell me who made entry #25 from the first challenge? I adored that outfit too.

Is it bad to want the clothes some of you guys made XD

Vtheyoshi I honestly looked over both of your first 2 challenges I only saw the third..which is sooo weird.
But I luv yer little kittie's outfit especially the buttock part and the cute extra's :D.

      And Ukalele Luved yer dopple.

    12. I'm a little too sick to put forth the effort of resizing and combining my pics, so here's what I did in their original sizes:

It's so nice to see who did what. I'm happy just knowing I finished and have a button coming my way ^^ This was my first time, so hopefully next year I'll be ready to do better *determined face*

    13. Alewife, your UFO pic is charming and your metamorphosis doppelganger is STUNNING. Absolutely amazing work!

    14. I think my favorite part of the triathlon each year is seeing who made what, we have so many creative people on here :)

      Here are my entries:

    15. Here were mine:

    16. Thank you so much! Due to a family emergency which ate up almost the whole two weeks, I had to make the doppel in 3 evenings, so everything was a big panic. Thanks for letting me know the message got across. :)

    17. AAAAHHH!!! That ufo just slayyyyys me! :D

    18. vtheyoshi, I loved all your entries. The kitty in pajamas just makes me want to give him a nice cuddle and tuck him into bed, and I want your doppelganger to come and live with me!!!

Alewife, I liked that you chose to make your Doppelganger the bright and positive side of what seemed to be a very sad doll. Nice to see the usual flipped on its head like that, and she's beautiful in her own right, as well.

    19. These were mine (for Mashaka)

    20. Oh, serious wow. I voted for every one of these pix! They're really all yours?
      <==*is your fan*

    21. Now that I have a few minutes I can properly comment!

OneStickShort - your underlit origami lotus light sculpture was just beautiful.

FunnyLori - Your halter-top dress and capri pants was fantastic! The fit was perfect and it really suited your Unoa! The elf zap was freakin' hilarious! I laughed so hard.

ukelala - I voted for your outfit! And your lighting challenge set was so beautiful and the posing was so natural. I really liked the ambiance you created in your photos.

eosthilas - The lanternfish was genius! I laughed so hard when I saw it!

buboplague - Your lighting challenge was so creative! I didn't realize that the horns were part of your entry until after I already voted. Lovely set styling! The delicate, monochromatic doppleganger you made had such a quiet impact. It was stunning.

fransyung - your Oni gave me the shivers!

Sennenrin - I voted for your outfit, the creativity you put into the details and accessories was really to be admired!

Mistic Unicorn - I voted for your beautiful glowing tree! Your toffee entry was truly inspired! It must have taken forever for you to sculpt it. Did you end up eating it? I don't think I could have resisted!

skyealloway - Your outfit was so cute! I loved the leggings and shorts combo! The little lae coat was perfect! Did you embroider the skull details yourself?

sakuraharu - The outfits you create for the final entry were very romantic looking. I loved the gentle colours you chose - it plays really well off of the 'memento mori' theme of your doppleganger.

phanuel - Your torch in the cave idea was really neat! Especially plays off of Plato's cave allegory idea.

Sharkyra - All of your entries were gorgeous! So elegantly styled and framed. I voted for your doppelganger.

KitsuneClaws - Your doppel stuffie was so cute!

Bliss - I love your outfit! Did you make it from scratch or did you have a pattern? It is adorable! That you made an outfit to match your ray gun is awesome!

thegashlycrumb - I really liked the way you styled your doppleganger with her original. They really look like the perform well together.

Sims - Thank you :) I had to take all of my photos at about the same time of the day when the light comes through my upstairs window, and I've only got a white sheet and a black piece of cloth to use as backdrops, so I can see how they would look like they're from the same shoot.

This was a real challenge for me because I'm not a professional photographer or sculptor, and my drawing is terrible! I really had to read the manual on my point-and-shoot camera to get the f-stop function figured out. That's how the pictures got so 'glowy' looking. I figured out from my second entry that if I backlit my doppelganger entry it would look like it's glowing if I used the f-stop to allow more light in. I did end up using a layer 'overlay' in photoshop to saturate the colours and bring out the contrast. I learned how to do this from an online tutorial here (http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-effects/soft-focus/). I also cropped the images to make them a bit more balanced, but that's about it! I love the soft, ethereal effect that the final photos had. Just so you can see the difference between the original photos and the photos I entered,

here's the untouched pic of my light source photo:

and here's the untouched pic of my doppel photo:

I love how the backlighting of the dopple ends up making her look a bit like she has glowing wings with the tulle.

Vaex - the 'up to no good' smirk on your amazing doppelganger gives me the willies! Way to go!

MariaRed - Great work finishing! It was a challenge of endurance for all of us!

Alewife - your doppelganger photo was so beautiful, like the original was a chrysalis holding this beautiful soul inside. The detail on her face is amazing!

northern_raven - your outfit and lightsource were so creative and inspiring. Very original and fun!

vtheyoshi - SUCH a cute kitty outfit! All the little details made it spectacular! I voted for your lightsource. I loved the dramatic story you told with your photos. The dynamic movement was awesome.

BabySnow - your baby stuffie was adorable!

NY_Kitty - Your robot puppy was fantastic! Wiring him must have been a real challenge!

Nightmareally - Your cool cheshire doppelganger gives me nightmares. I remember when that Alice game first came out and that evil cat lurked onto the screen. I got the heck outta there!

EriChanHime - I really like the skull shadow cast of your light source.

    22. LOL! I admit I didn't give any thought to where I'd keep a three-foot-tall fox-warrior-girl plushie, either. She's taking up most of the foot of the bed. =)
--and sims, thank you! I think she'd be happy to let other dollies snuggle her, for all that she presents as so fierce. She's become the den mother of the Beanie Babies.=)

    23. Sharkyra and Alewife - your doppel concepts were some of my absolute favorites. I stopped scrolling to just stare at them when the voting got posted up.

btw, Phoebe, I totally feel you on struggling with the camera. I always feel that I never manage to take as good of pictures as some of my friends. Kudos to everybody who was outside their comfort zone trying to get nice pics for submission!

    24. Congratulations to the winners! <3 <3 <3 Once again, I had a ball playing along, though I didn't have any intention whatsoever of winning. XD (It's good to have low expectations! But another postcard this year? Woohoo! I'll add it to my cork board of awesome things!) Here were my mediocre-at-best entries:

I have to run off for the weekend, but I hope to see more of these progress photos and collages later! <3

    25. This was my first year doing this and I tied for 34th place. I was AmberCat. Here are my entries:

    26. I'm very happy with the voting results, as my favourites won!!!! And congratulations, and pats on the back, and high-fives to all of us, who did our best in due time!

And many many many thanks to armeleia, (and Truffle!) without whom we would NOT have so much fun and thrills for a whole month!!!!!

If I may have a slight suggestion, it would be, in a next triathlon, not to give the partial results for the first and second challenge, but only the final tally. This would a) give a little less work to the organizer, b) be less depressing for people with lower scores, and c) would built an incredible suspense!!!!
      So these were my entries:

      I was MV'sdisciple

    27. This certainly was an excellent month! I truly loved voting for all of the wonderful creations that the members here have made. Congrats and kudos to all who participated, and to those that stuck with it and finished the triathlon!

    28. Thanks! the skull details aren't embroidered, thou, they were appliqued on ^_^ I cut the shapes from the sheer material I had, and sewed it right onto the front of the shorts ^_^

Hehe, when I look at your doppel picture, I see the tulle as smoke, like she's coming down from the mist or clouds
      ^_^

One more, then I'll quit spammin up the thread ~_^
      [IMG]

    29. Thanks :) I really had a fun time with my tree.

The tootsie roll sculpture was stressful since after attaching a few of the skirt ruffles the whole thing started to sag and I had to go into turbo sculpting mode. I didn't make my armature strong enough to support that weight. Because of this, I had to make the entire thing in about 2-3 hours including taking the photos. I would have liked to spend more time on the details. It is kind of funny though since you can tell as through the photo shoot that her skirt droops lower and lower... Good thing the first few shots were good enough to submit to the contest lol I usually like to take a lot of photos and choose the best ones. Didn't have a lot to pick from this time. I may make another sometime just for fun though (with much better support and in a cooler room ;) ).

    30. Alright, huge batch reply - ACTIVATE!!

Sims - I love all of your entries, but you already knew that ;)

FunnyLori - I died laughing at your Elf Zap black and white photo. It was so clever!

Phoebe - I loved your light picture! It has such great atmosphere and such a great sense of story to it.

Buboplague - Congratulations again! I was absolutely in love with your panties outfit. The lace applique on the back of her cape blew me away. All of your entries were gorgeous - well done!

Fransyung - Thank you so much! :aheartbea

Sennenrin - Congratulations! I loved that your dress even had a bustle/bumroll, and I loved how you set your light photos up with the mirror.

MisticUnicorn - Congrats on winning third place! Your light tree was absolutely beautiful. Even after voting was over I kept going back to look at it :|

Skyealloway - Your doppelganger was so creative! I loved the Dia de los Muertos theme!

Sakuraharu - Your fireplace was beautiful!

Phanuel - Your doppelganger was so cute, and I loved how pleased your robot girl looked with her!

Sharkyra - Your dress was stunning! There was just something about the sleek shape, and that veil over her eyes that caught me.

KitsuneClaws - Your magic staff was so pretty!

Bliss - I LOVED the outfit your girl had in the second challenge! It was so fun and spunky!

The GashleyCrumb - The dance pose you had set up in your last photo was awesome. :o

Vaex - Your doppelganger was so wonderfully creepy! You did a great job with it!

Alewife - Your UFO was awesome!! I loved the full environment you had set up.

Northern_raven - The chicken llama was great! Don't worry about what to do with it for now...my angler fish is currently sitting on top of a china cabinet until I figure out what to do with him, too!

vTheYoshi - I loved your kitty's pajamas, and the hat just cracked me up.

BabySnow - Your little dragon was adorable :aheartbea

NY_Kitty - I felt so bad for your doll in the third challenge! Nothing's worse than being taken captive by your doppelganger!

EriChanHime - Your panty dress was so cute. I loved the pirate wench vibe!

Pinkeed - I love your little Luna - she's adorable!!

Gracia - Your flower light was very pretty :)

Congratulations again to everyone who finished the triathlon! Keep the entry collages coming - I love seeing who everyone was!

    31. eosthils Thank you! :)

I figured out that I actually voted for a lot of people on here after they posted who they were. Keep the pictures coming please I like matching them up and everyone did such a great job that I am thrilled to see them all again.

    32. i simply don't know how to make a collage so here are the original photo's

      my name was Teyl

(as if no one could tell maybe i should have used different dolls instead of the sameone over and over ;)......)
I had a horrible time getting my lightfixture photo's right since silly me used icecubes and the kept melting and falling of their threads (i used about 50 icecubes while there are only 10 or so really in the lightfixture) imagine my horror when i found out i interpretated the rules wrong.
so this is how you go about and make a photo of a doll and lightfxture without a doll or a lightfixture in the photo ;) (sorry for the messy room)

as for my doppel i like it that my bjd is the 'evil' one trying to get rid of her past as a noble woman (wouldn't you when your past had such cellulite legs, while your new self is svelte and cellulite free :P) But they where both evil to me while taking my photographs. I had only one doll stand and two very floppy dolls
Have ever tried to make a sd16 highheeled doll stand on a concave surface? well i did and she did a whole lot of nose dives in 5 minutes before i gave up and just went with a picture i allready had but wasn't really satisfied with. (maybe the fact that i was having the flu didn't help either ;)...)

in case anyone wondered this is the real Teyl (the one i borrowed my name from) sadly enough he has been long in the making so i couldn't enter him as a doppel for the contest)
      http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o246/allanieew/wasteyl038.jpg

    33. Thanks Phoebe! No patterns for the scifi outfit and for the first challenge I modified patterns I already had made :).

Is it just me or did I over look a lot of entries *_*...? I'm seeing pics here I don't even remember seeing >_<..gawd so sowwy about that.

    34. Congratulations to the winners and also to everyone who took part and also to Armeleia for another fabulous contest!
It was great fun this year and I almost didn't finish the 3rd challenge as my original dopple plan didn't work so I'm proud of myself for finishing...and I did better than last year!
      I was JackJack

I had wanted to colour the heart red in the final picture so it stood out but didn't know how! Here's an extra picture from that shoot as I almost used this one instead.

    35. Congratulations to everyone! Especially Buboplague! Your works are so amazing! Definately deserving to win!!

The final part of the contest provided some really amazing work!!

    36. OMG - Woweee - Congratulations guys - very well deserved!!!!!

Here are my three entries.... I was about to pull out of the third with a family situation knocking the wind out of me but instead determination to never give up and I made it under the wire with literally minutes to go LOL

I have to say - I actually made the panties outfit specifically for this doll to wear permanently - she looks so adorable and exactly as I had hope she would :) My light entry is my Disco-Dancing Pong Pong - I carved a Duck-Egg and after this photo the blu-tac holding it in-place let go and it smashed into tiny tiny pieces - thank heavens I had enough photos to cover the entry....... My doppel - wellllll it was an afterthought and I felt like stringing up a family member that day so I took it out on my doll instead..... I felt much better afterwards!! :)

Yet again I am in awe of the talent on the Forums :) A special thank-you to Armeleia and the team of mods who pulled this together - you guys make August my favourite month of the year :)

    37. You're the one!!! When I saw your panty dress (doesn't that sound wrong, somehow?) I started coveting uncontrollably. It's so elegant!!!! O_O Absolutely perfect. Make more and sell them. Seriously. :)

    38. Who won ltp?

    39. This was me ._.

    40. OK, I'm confused. How can I tell which entries won the top spots in each individual leg of the Triathlon? As far as I can see, entries were only identified by number, winners of each part were only identified by pseudonym, and only the overall winners were identified by member name. Is there a way to tell what the voting was by entry number?

    41. Whitewings I love your panty dress. The color scheme is beautiful, and I can see why you'd want your girl to wear it permanently!

    42. Thank you so much eosthilas!

    43. I'm still amazed by the sheer show of talent! I was in love with so many of the entries it was very hard to choose just a few to vote for. Congratulations to everyone that entered, this was so much fun to admire! :)

    44. This right here is the reason why I wish the voters could see what we wrote for the Description or Concept area when we turned in our entries, as not all of us know the 'character' in the photos. I think a lot of these contests would have been so much better, even easier to vote for if we could have read those! Some entries in some contests I dismissed as just 'strange' or 'too out there' just because I didn't understand what the creator was trying to get across to me. Armelia, I suggest putting up the descriptions next year for voters to read!

Sims - Thank you very much! Ronwe says hello!

Phoebe - Thank you so much! <3

Eosthilas - Thanks for the compliment! It felt strange buying Christmas ornaments in August to make that staff. :P

    45. thanks hun - I'll link the flower pattern I used in the workshop forum :)

    46. I went and looked under the original post of the Triathlon and found who won each, then went by the list on post 964 (or was it 965?) and found the winners' forum names. If you go through this thread from page 49ish onward you'll find them all and what each person did in the Triathlon. Yes, I'm weird enough to do this. XD

    47. Thanks, that helps some, at least I know WHO won in each part, but not WHICH ENTRIES. I was hoping to be able to tell by number, the way they were presented in the voting threads. I wrote down the numbers I voted for, but I can't tell how they did.

    48. Hope no one minds! I was curious about this too ~_^
May I present to you, the winners!
(also, thanks to loki's mom, otherwise, if you hadn't started matching them up, I wouldn't have been inclined to finish)

    49. Yeah, it's a bit of a pain to find everything. The only way you'll be able to tell is to check everyone's posts from post 964 onward to see all those who have posted their pics and compare them to the pictures/entries for whom you voted. Sorry, I have no other way.. XD At least it keeps things active around here, constantly checking to see who has posted what. ;)

EDIT: What I get for not reading further.. XoP
Excellent work! And you're welcome. I was curious to know specifically which ones were the winners, that's why I did the matching up. These pics are great. XD

      LM

    50. I put up gallery threads of my pix for challenges #2 & #3. The one for #2 is pretty fail because I forgot to switch the codes from small pic to medium *sigh*, but the one for #3 looks better. =)

    51. oops double post...

    52. Ah, I might as well post which entries were mine.<br>[IMG]

    53. congrats to all the winners and everyone that took part. There is really talent out there.

    54. Congratulations to all the winners and everyone else who participated - especially those who completed all three challenges!! I am completely impressed with everyone's talents and hard work :) I am totally phsyched for the next year already!! LOL
I wasn't sure if I should post my entries (and one fail) since I didn't make in time to submit my second entry, but I thought why not hahaha

So these are my two submissions..

    55. Thanks so much for this - many of my votes are now accounted for!

    56. But who's the LTP winner?
