Just got a balance due notification from Moonlight as the dolls are close to finishing.

This is surprising since these dolls usually take 6 months to make (the last domestic order took 6 months) and its not quite 3 months since the close of the preorder. I've bought a few clothing/accessories from Moonlight before (when I can't find them anywhere else) they usually ship pretty soon after sending balance due within a week tbh. Unsure about dolls though if they actually have the dolls in hand or if they are still a few weeks out I legit thought I wouldn't be seeing these dolls until July/August though so pleasantly surprised.

Also, it makes me wonder if it means there'd be an international sale of the new body soon? That would be a new threat for my wallet...

 

I have a question, these dolls tend to have very big chests.
So I done my research and it has been almost impossible for me to find clothes to buy that will fit dolls like this one.
Do you guys have any recommendations on where to find clothes for big chested boys?

 

Taobao would be your best bet. Christina from NewClover-Singing sometimes carries clothes from Taobao sellers, or will purchase things for you off of Taobao for a fee. You could also use an agent like Bhiner to order things from Taobao.

If you check back on the previous page both RebelViva and I have a list and links to TB sellers who sell clothes for the larger male doll bodies.

Hey guys the domestic sale is on May 10th @ 8pm GMT+8, not much notice the dolls just went up on the site today (I got a notification from Weidian on my phone this morning).

Sun will be offered in 3 colors, white, general and new milk tea skin (limited milk tea quantities). Bar (white), Monsoon (general), Eagle (Beach), YeYou (tan) will also be available. Note this is a 5 MINUTE SALE so gives little time to organize an agent or get funds together although she is allowing deposits 2000CN for body and 100CN for hands.

ETA -- Moonlight said we should be getting shipping quotes at the end of the month.

Wanted to report that I just got a shipping soon notice for my Bronze Eagle I purchased at the end of January from MoonlightBJD. Shipping to the US with DHL was $150.

I got mine too! Ye You to Singapore (SouthEast Asia) via EMS $100/ CPA $75!

 

Got mine too! I will go with the DHL option to the states which is shipping each doll separately at @$150 each. Shipping them both together CPA is $265. Definitely worth paying the extra $35 and getting them in a week vs 3 weeks even if they will ship separate.

This shipping costs isn’t too bad really at all. Paying around the same for Soom.

 

My normal Bar was delivered on thursday! I ordered through Luts bc they seemed to have extra stock after the preorder ended, and he was shipped via EMS, but arrived in 3 days which i was very impressed with!

It's $205 for EMS to Australia, quite a high price but I'm still deciding between CPA $125 and EMS because the price difference is huge. Plus I'll be on holiday next month, I'm afraid that if the doll is damaged I won't be able to do anything sadly.

 

I got shipping notice, too! Mine is $170 for EMS to EU. I usually pay this much for Ringdoll so it's totally correct.
I wasn't offered DHL, but I guess it might depend on the country...

Just a reminder for everyone to film box openings even if you don’t plan on posting them because Moonlight won’t do anything about damages if you don’t film the box opening! But hoping that isn’t necessary and everyone’s dolls arrive safely!

 

Hello everyone!
Can anyone help with the Eagle eyes size?

 

I'm pretty sure that the one Yuki's using for all of their dolls is 14/5. I brought this size as well for my eagle.

 

I also use 14mm small iris eyes on mine, although I only have Ye You and Bar, not Eagle.

 

I asked Yuki last year on IG she said 14/5 (shes been nice and has answered a lot of my questions). I tend to go 14/5 or max 14/6. The eyes are very narrow on Ying/eagle so if you want to see the iris 14/5 is best.

 

My Bar should be on the way soon and I need to find him a wig. What size wig does he need? Any recommendations on where to buy wigs? Thanks!

 

@onlytheocean They wear 8-9in wigs the heads are rather small around 8.5 lol. I use wig caps and never had an issue with anything not fitting them in that size. I usually order custom wigs nowadays or from sellers who do time limited orders but Muuuu is a good place to get styled wigs and they have open orders.

Anyone get tracking yet from Moonlight? I paid next day after email but might be a bit delayed for me cause another order of mine is being combined and coming from a different warehouse.

I asked them earlier when Moonlight sent out the shipping notice, they said the doll will be shipped in mid-June. Nearly there! Maybe at the end of this week?

My boy surprise showed up today! I was waiting for a shipping email, but never received one. My order is still listed as Confirmed on Moonlight BJD's site.

Got shipping noti just now. It seems my order was shipped out on 19/6 and already arrived to my country just this morning (and was held by customs)

It looks like Moonlight is sending out shipping noti today but they actually already shipped the orders.

Hello everyone. Been lurking for a while. I received my boy Thursday and got a shipping notice Friday. No damages and I recorded opening him to be on the safe side. I hope you all receive your boys soon!!

I also got shipping notices! Shipping costs weren't bad at when the dust settled. I got a bit of a discount combining another order and then moonlight gave me another $30 back as they originally said DHL would have to ship separately but they both shipped together. Ended up paying $230 for 2 dolls, considering how big/heavy the boys are that is a steal.

 

Got my boys on Monday! Was speaking to someone on IG who also got Grey Bar and not sure if its just the colored resin difference or maybe a new caster but The Voice Boys feel WAY heavier this time around, Monsoon too. Not sure if anyone else with multiple The Voice boys can attest but theres a noticeable difference. I used to be able to pick them up with just one hand now its def two hands or I feel some strain lol.

I really would love to find a Ying/Eagle on the pre-owned market, Moonlight offered a single one some weeks ago but he sold right away due to my...hesitancy.

My hesitance is based on not really knowing his weight. I have an HID Baron - and he's heavy, sure - but for his size his resin is more hollow to make up for it, so its managable. Ying appears to be not only taller but also broader, and possibly has thicker resin. Does anyone know the weight of the Eagle/Ying? I can't seem to find any reference to it.

So excited for Ludeng! This sculpt is perfect for a character of mine and kind of helped kick me back into the hobby (I've already ordered a body for another character, which I wouldn't have been looking for otherwise!).

I asked what colours this release will be available in, and Yuki said they'll be in Normal, White, Peach Tea, and Bronze.

A little gutted, as I was really hoping for Beach - I need a cool tan for this character. But then I asked if Ludeng will be available in Beach in the future and Yuki said he will be! So happy about that

So I'll be skipping the order this time around (which to be honest is a relief to my bank account haha), but I look forward to seeing what everyone else does with him in the meantime!

 

The preorder started just earlier today on Moonlight!!
I caved and bought Bar in bronze because I've wanted him in that color to shell an OC since I first saw him ^^

I really love the voice sculpts but I dont collect anything above 50cm unfortunately, just too big for me personally. So I'm just content to admire them

I would die if they released msd version of their sculpts tho, that'd be a dream come true lol

 

They have shown several pictures (like this one) of mini versions of their guys on their insta before! Whether that means they'll ever be released in that size or it's just for fun, who knows! But they are very cute

 

Yuki normally releases in the same colors for overseas as she does the domestic order before it. She hasn't released Beach in a few years unfortunately but we will definitely get the heads up its coming once we see it release in the domestic order.

I am debating getting Ludeng SP now in Bronze or waiting for Beach, I've been wanting a doll in that Beach color for a while.

I recently got my Sun in normal skin and the body he is on is just to die for (I will post pics soon). The Voice boy bodies are already made well with good mobility especially considering the size but this new body she made even more improvements on.

 

I've seen those as well! I remember asking about it once, and they said it was only a smaller print done for prototype purposes I'm still holding out hope they'll release them for ordering at that size!

 

I've had my Sun for a week or two now but was so busy couldn't take pics. Did a whole comparison over on IG on the difference between the sun and eagle bodies. Theres commentary on the photos!

Just want to let anyone who only wants the bodies that Eagle and Sun body is available to order without head from 10/07/2024 to 10/08/2024 via their weidian, the prices are far cheaper than with head around $500 not including shipping cost

Because it’s only weidian this is no international pre-order you might need someone as a proxy to buy them for you though

 

I checked their Weidian bc of this I really hope someone could help meee. Is Lykos for sale in their Weidian? How much is the total price? translating the site is so difficult that it’s hard to navigate through.

 

Unfortunately Lykos is not on sale this time, the listing of Lykos is from a doll event SHDSP in China that happened in April this year because he was an event-only pre-order.

This is purely my guess but Lykos may be available for the next chinese pre-order (maybe at the end of this year or the beginning of next year). With the price chinese pre-order are usually cheaper I might say around $600-700 USD not including the shipping cost.

There’s a chinese social media app called 小红书 however they also rarely active on it, I don’t know about weidian though if the website has social media side. I would recommend a shop but their native language is not english, so bear that in mind. The shop is Anubis Doll Cafe on Facebook and they update every The Voice pre-order whether it international or chinese one. Aside from that they can communicate in english and ship worldwide.
