NuiNui's horns are not always available? I really want them!!! hahaha I was planning to get only Monsoon but if red NuiNui with horns is available I will have to say goodbye to other doll plans I had for the year

 

@crappyshappyshaw The crazy thing is shipping from LUTS is kinda pricey too. I think I mentioned earlier in thread but I paid $230 last year to ship a Super Senior Delf and they are smaller than The Voice and don't come with a carrying case. No idea why its so expensive when Soom, also Korea and a big doll company, is usually around $130-170 and they both use UPS/EMS. Honestly Moonlight is looking tempting right now for the layaway and delayed shipping payment option lol.

@eunni I used MyDollection she is an agent with a site but she offers other services too for Weidian or Xianyu, I have used her for both. You just have to reach out and ask, I usually message over IG. Fair warning she can be a bit slow to respond and ship out the item, but I've always gotten my stuff so I trust her.

I saw that Moonlightbjdhouse on Instagram already announced that they will sell the boys as well so I will probably end up contemplating that idea over the Luts sale because of the layaway

Also just heard if you buy a LUTS doll with your Brand doll you can get layaway for the whole order. But that’s a lot also having to spend a few hundred more just to get layaway on top of paying for shipping upfront

 

I’ve been on a break from the doll hobby for years till I stumbled across their IG page last year. When I saw P.O. open, I immediately snagged Ye You in normal skin (Bronze would be nicer but it wasn’t available ) Hopefully I’ll see more of these boys soon!!

 

I’m so excited!! I ordered Eagle in Bronze from Moonlightbjdhouse since I wanted to do layaway. I absolutely love the proportion of bodies of The Voice dolls. I hope he looks good paired with my Ringdoll boy!

 

Whew that price hike on LUTS is something wild. Big ups to anyone who was able to drop that all at once though.

Man yeah those prices on luts are insane especially since it’s not layaway.

For moonlight id still take caution as the last preorder wasn’t great.

Would you mind sharing the issues with Moonlight? I read in other threads the surprise of expensive shipping, so I’m prepared for that. But were there other issues?

I’m also prepared to wait if they experience delays too. I kind of want to review their service anyways. I’m hoping to order some outfits from them in the future. Maybe I should try and use Taobao instead someday hahah

 

I left the Moonlight page a little horrified when they published the prices, especially for the gray resin, I thought it was a total exaggeration, but then, when LUTS published their prices, my jaw dropped to the ground, they were even more expensive and I didn't I know if Moonlight will be exactly the same at the end of the day because you have to pay for the shipping too, so all my enthusiasm is gone it will be another time that I save an appropriate amount for the next pre-sale

 

Others who ordered from them last summer (not all The Voice dolls, other orders too) they sent the wrong doll or sent the wrong color. Or they were super delayed in sending some dolls but not others. For one head order people got their order cancelled because they didn’t order enough.

If you order from them even if you don’t plan to post it anywhere you MUST do an opening video. Otherwise any damage they will claim you did after it arrived.

Unless you just really need the layaway go through buying services like Superbuy or Bhiner for Taobao. Moonlight charges up to 50% more. Follow SeasonedHolidayHam on IG they are a real one and always post the TB link for Moonlight items.

Honestly I think everyone gotta make their own informed decision. Not gonna say it’s worth it or not for everyone, gotta be an individual call cause you might have to stay on them.

I will say if you want a special color it’s better to buy this order. They sold out in a minute because of bots/click war domestically and there were only 10 of each total. There’s 20 now of each since both LUTS and Moonlight got 10 (but haha maybe just count 10 cause who really is paying those LUTS prices??)

I did a video with my first BJD because I wanted to show it to my friends later, but while I did it I thought that is a good idea to make it a habit, that way I could show the company/dealer the state in which the doll arrived, in case something is damaged

Are The Voice dolls ever sold as just heads? They’re so absolutely stunning & I love the detail in the body (THOSE JOINTED HANDS!), but even the slimmer body is a bit too muscular for me. I’d love to hybrid one onto a slightly less intense large body.

Your best bet would be to do a split or try to find a head secondhand! I've heard they show up sometimes on Xianyu, and I've seen a couple for sale on instagram recently.

 

Probably going to try to find one secondhand! I’m not in a financial position to join a split at this point, but it would be great to be able to get a Bar head eventually. I’m glad to hear they do sometimes come up secondhand.

 

Just placed an order for Eagle and Monsoon through Moonlight just because they are the cheapest choice and offer layaway. Finger crossed for the best.

I dm’ed Yuki on Instagram asking if her next order with new body will include the choice of Eagle head and she said no. The new body is her new series that will come with different types of heads. (So I panic and grab both my favorite sculpts lol)

I do hope the old heads though are at least interchangeable with new bodies. I did want my NiuNiu on a slightly less buffer body.

I also feared this was the only time to really grab a special color for this type so I also panicked and got two lol.

 

In my opinion in xianyu and the Korean second hand tags on twitter it isn’t that bad seeing yukis dolls second hand that being said idk if I’m just not translating properly the listings do go by fast sometimes so be ready for that.

 

I do see them on Xianyu from time to time too, I've seen heads a few times on IG as well. But yeah they tend to go relatively quickly. Even though its more expensive than domestic I hope domestic buyers also buy from Moonlight or LUTS international sale to help the second-hand market stay healthy with her dolls.

But not giving us a great heads up on them going on sale, no notification on the price hike, no LUTS layaway on an insane markup and also the fact many people wont deal with Moonlight at all (even with a lower cost and layaway) has surely hurt her sales. The last domestic order didn't include WS/NS Bar nor Monsoon only limited special colors and that was their first release. Didn't have Bronze Eagle either, just NS. So if she wont offer old sculpts next go around there might not be a lot available on the market domestically nor internationally if people don't buy now. This being especially true for Bar and Monsoon in any color which is why I grabbed both.

 

Is Moonlight’s shipping as expensive as Luts? Resolve is weakening on not getting one now, but $240 shipping on a doll that’s already over $1k is… wow.

I'm sorry but I'm a total noob about ordering from agents... Am I correct in thinking that the doll would go first to the agent (in Moonlight's case, Canada?) and then it is shipped to me? If it's right, then it would be China-Canada-Europe for me... and I don't even want to imagine the shipping fee...

 

Moon usually ships straight from China to wherever you are, in my experience. I don't know if they have a warehouse there or if they have the artist ship right to you. My Niu Niu came from China in the last pre-order.

I think it's a little pricy, but maybe not as expensive as Luts. They usually offer three prices / options-- I think I paid around $100 for shipping my Niu Niu for Airmail? I don't remember what EMS was though.

 

With those prices and no layaway options---- Luts is absolutely nuts

I don't want to start another layaway with Moonlight so soon after I just got a remaining balance reminder from them earlier today, but I really don't want to miss this opportunity to buy the big beefy body (I have a day to mull this over, but I really gotta make a choice soon)

I’ve read HID size tops and ID75 bottoms, but does anyone have any stores or sellers they like? I’m thinking it’s time I try Taobao.

 

Loose YC77 tops can fit. Voice arms are bigger so for fitted or suits go HID. If they carry The Voice it will typically show up as 啊u, 啊u自制 or 鹰 on Taobao. Some shops do special order sizing, its additional $ and you have to give measurements when you order with your agent.

I ordered Bar in normal skin, I would have loved to have been able to order all of them, the sculpts are amazing.

He didn't come with magnets but there are slots for magnets? I guess if you order the horns then they install them. When I ordered I didn't have the option to add horns to my order... So I'll just use an extra pair I have. I saw they were available for purchase this round tho...

I got both the blue and black set. Highly recommend to order off Weidian through superbuy. Here is the direct link to input on their site. I paid $127 total for both sets and that's the deposit and final payment (Moonlight is literally charging more than double per set). They let you pay the deposit only though if you don't want to pay in full, they will message you when the remainder is due.

No prob. If you put the link I gave into superbuy’s website (the search bar) it will translate the page to English and make it shoppable to add to your superbuy cart. Unfortunately it is the only way to translate the page as visiting the Weidian site on its own will prompt sign in and you need a WeChat acct to browse Weidian.

But yes that’s Yuki’s domestic store ordering from her directly. I’ve gotten a whole doll from ordering through there last summer (used a different agent though).

Yeah Moonlight's prices are ridiculous. I'm surprised we got a better deal with them for the dolls though. I was surprised how expensive they were on Luts.

 

I'm still so mad at myself for missing the last preorder... However, I did manage to order the denim set in both colours (off Moonlight 'cause I forgot about Weidian).

@Ouji-Sama I ordered my Ying from Moonlight on Nov.8.2021 on a short layaway. He arrived on July.29.2022. Hope this helps.

@Ouji-Sama They only take 6 months to make but the extra delays are on Moonlight's end. I heard there was a bunch of delays last year due to shipping issues with ridic prices. Fingers crossed not many issues this time around and we can get them by July/August.

Although I wonder what shipping costs this time around will be. I haven’t had 2 dolls ship together in years I think I paid $90 shipping back in the day for two 60cm from B&G lmfao. Shipping is much more expensive these days and these dolls are much bigger. Not sure if it would be cheaper to ship them separately or together.

 

@Ouji-Sama Just to add my experience, my Voice boy from Moonlight was ordered Nov 10, 2021 and he came home in June 2022. It could’ve been even earlier but they took a while to get back with the shipping quotes after I requested for other couriers quotes.

It was around $100 via EMS shipping in the end. Hope prices don’t go up too much from this
