^ Ahhhh don't make me choose! I don't have one. I love all my dolls for different reasons.

v How do your cheapest and most expensive dolls compare?

 

^ My cheapest doll is cute but unsophisticated. I’d have a hard time deciding to ever sell him as much due to the fact he isn’t worth much as sentimentality. By comparison, my most expensive doll wows me every time I look at him, but I almost feel guilty having him and there’s heavy pressure to do everything very well.

< It’s 20F/-7C outside and I just came from a walk to the market. I should be making dinner but I’m coooold. I guess the stove will warm me...

v What is your most beloved/well-used prop?

 

^ My entire doll crew is an extended family. The shelled ones are all related by blood or marriage, but some of the characters with no doll shells (yet) are related by adoption. This visual representation explains it better than words will.

v Passing the question down, are there any families in your doll crew?

 

^ My dolls are just very close friends, they all live in the same mansion and so far I don't have any related members.

v are your dolls fans of any shows/movies/books? Do they have a favorite character?

 

^ Surprisingly they all quite like books. Though they live in a different world than ours so they don't really have our books but if I think of it Saki, Aoi and Reito all would be HUGE fans of the books by Leigh Bardugo. Saki's favourite characters probably would be the twins from the Shadow and Bone Trilogy, Tolya and Tamar, just because they're awesome! Aoi will always choose the Darkling for they both are quite misunderstood boys with too much power at hand and Reito likes Mal for his tracking and love of nature.

< Yes, I just recently read Bardugo's Trilogy and loved it... XD That's why all characters of the answer above are from that book.

v Passing the question because it's cool: Are your dolls fans of any shows/movies/books? Do they have a favorite character?

 

^ I think for the doll I am planning to shell out; her world would have books that she is a fan of, but honestly- she may just have a favorite author more so. Alagner made a book about the marvelous magical items, and some of the text written can be humorous. Example to a wiki. If I where to think of her to go to our world. That will expand into shows/movies/MORE BOOKS. Since I am not exactly a show or movie watcher, which affects my train of thought, Wheel of Time be interesting for her. Character? Alas, she cannot pick a favorite character- she likes hearing people talk about their favorite characters tho!

< Research and more research. So many bookmarks and my budgeting is going along at least.

V Is there a type of fabric that your dolls seem to really like the most?

 

^ Anything soft. My boys are from medieval inspired fantasy, so they aren't picky.

< When somebody at our toyshop complains about toys being too expensive, I just think about how I spent over 1000$ for incomplete doll.

v Do you have more girl or boy dolls (or other)?

 

^ I have 44 bjds and only 1 is female, I do have a little resin 1/12 girl but she is OT with painted eyes. I love my boys!!!

< Wednesday/hump day means nothing when you're retired. I guess I need to make it special somehow.

v Do your dolls like this season's weather (whatever season you are in wherever you are) or are they wishing for another season now.

 

^ I get upset, and focus on other aspects of the plan. Perhaps a better idea/version/item will come into play.

< I want to go to sleep, but I also want to watch a movie.

v In an emergency which one of your dolls would you be able to count on?

 

^ Ji-han. He is the most focused and usually acts as the level-headed idea guy for the other dolls. He just needs a bit of time and space to think.

> Cold, cold, go away, don't come again another day.

v Your doll is sick enough for it to be annoying, but not enough to simply rest in bed. How do they deal with it as they go about their routine?

 

^ Joaquin would probably walk around slowly like a zombie with a piece of tissue in one of his nostrils to stop whatever it is that tries to come out every time he bends down. He would sit at the desk with half-closed eyes and be gloomy all day.

< I'd chop my thesis with a knife if I have to

v Do you have troubles finding stuff for any of your dolls? (like, they may have weird body size, weird eyeholes, etc.)

 

^ Yeah, a bit - I want 2 Victorian-looking armchairs for my boys and I have found a people making those, but mostly in 1/6, 1/4 and 1/3 size. So I am able to find chairs for dolls max. 65 cm large. But my boys are going to be 70 and 74 cm tall.
Also - a small iris eyes in gold-brown or honey colour seem to be hard to find.

< I just want to sleep. But I have to prepare an outfit for tommorow's event at work...

v Do you have a doll couple or are all the dolls in your crew single?

 

^ All my dolls are single, I once thought there would be a relationship but alas it didn't turn out in the end.

< Feeling sore and sick, but at least my writing is coming along!

v do your dolls have any hobbies? Do they like to write or read or craft anything?

 

^ Yes! Yuna knits, Kai flirts with women, Longwei paints, Lycan crossdresses and Nyssa cures sick animals.

< It's really unhealthy how much I obsess over dolls and anime....

v If your doll(s) had a band or was a solo singer, what genre would they be?

 

^ Hawke could go for anything from classic rock to heavy or power metal, but I guess he is mostly folk rocker at heart - picking acoustic guitar over anything else.
Anders would also have a wide range from pop rock to softer metal ballads, but his favourite would be smooth jazz, blues and melodic things with strong melancholy in them. He would be a pianist.
Both would sing, neither of them believing they are trully good at it, but Hawke wouldn't really care and would sing anyway and Anders being repeatedly told, that he sings well, would do it for audience/his friends/Hawke, even when he doesn't really have a faith in his skills (which are better than he thinks they are).

< It's funny that our new manager from England wants us to have a Christmas sweather day tomorrow. We don't have any tradition of Christmas sweathers in our country, so I guess there won't be many people participating. I don't even know anyone, who would own a Christmas jumper.

v Do your dolls like having their pictures taken or are they shy?

 

^ Synti is rather shy but the others do nothing with more passion than scream at me "Take pics of us! We need pics of us taken!!"... XD I just never get around to doing so... >.<

< Christmas is more and more approaching... And my christmas gifts to my dolls are still not here... ;o;" Whyyyyy...?

v Outside it's perfect winter weather: lots of snow, lakes are frozen, christmas markets and small booths with food and hot drinks everywhere. What do your dolls do? Go skate on the lake, check the markets, sleigh riding... Or just stay at home maybe?

 

^ Feather and Fluke would definitely be into hot chocolate and treats from the market. I think afterwards they'd go skate, and Feather would help Fluke get around the ice, and afterwards they'd go see some carols and maybe even sing some!

< Christmas is so close I need to get more festive!

v same question! It's a perfect wintery day, what do your dolls do?

 

^ Rune is meditating outdoors if it's snowing, while Falk sits on a nearby bench bellyaching about having to sit out in the cold. If they take a trip into town, she's looking at the artisan crafts and food, and he's flirting and smouldering at anyone who makes eye contact. The Imp is probably making snowmen and drinking their entire stock of hot chocolate while they're out.

< I should stop buying fabric and decide what to do with all the fabric I've hoarded....

v I won't be the combo breaker! On whatever their idea of an ideal winter day, what are your dolls up to?

 

^ my tallest would go to the lake and burn fat by balancing on slow magical waves made of ice. The others would create a house made of snow and ice with a wide opening with all the normal comforts with a plan to use it as place to drink warm beverages and warm up near a magical fire. Lots of fur and vegetable blankets would be brought in and board games, singing, chatting, crafting and learning would take place within it.

< I am so pleased I started sewing again.

V What do your crew love drinking as a winterwarmer after a day out in the snow?

 

^ Sadly, there's rarely snow where I live (I'm in the south of France, next to the sea ) but I use to drink Chai Latte in my favourite coffee shop in winter, with my friends ! I'm sure my tall boys would do the same.. ♥

< My final exams are next week and i'm here, on DOA, looking at dolls instead of working... *sigh*

v What time is it where you live ? And also, where do you live, you and your dolls ? I'm curious ! ^-^

 

^ Me and my dolls live in snowy Canada! My dolls live in an alternative universe where elves and other creatures exist, but I imagine the world would be very similar to mine. But yes, we definitely get snow! Unfortunately there isn't any at the moment, but I'm hoping for a snow storm before Christmas!

< Can't wait til I can maybe get some new dolls this year!

v are your dolls excited for new years? Will they celebrate?

 

^ Saki sure is because of the fireworks! *o* The others don't care that much actually... ^-^" They spend the night as any other... "Working"...

v What's your doll-related New Year's resolution and plan?

 

^ get everyone painted. (That would be: Azrael, Miracle, Rina, Her shadow, Dacrya, Ki when she arrives, Frost, Ix, Thanatos, Venestus, Ripper when he arrives, Seren when she arrives...) which is going to be fun, cause there are like 2 faceup artists in the hobby I’ve used and I don’t know if they have that many slots in a year that I can take....

<did not mean to obtain that many dolls/heads/this mess.at least one of my impulse buys comes with a faceup...

V If one of your dolls became human for a day, which would you choose and what would you do?

 

^ Elliot is too asocial to want to hang out (plus he has a temper), Ollie is a bit too high energy, and Gobbie would immediately wander off and I would have to search for her. And Ingrid is just a head. That leaves Ji-han. I think we could go out to eat, go to the movies or a museum or something, and just kind of hang out. It would be a little weird, to be sure.

v Passing on: If one of your dolls became human for a day, which would you choose and what would you do?

 

^ John. He's the least likely to kill me, plus I'm sure he'd like a sandwich, and I could def give him something to eat.

V Have you participated in any companies holiday events? If so what did you order? If not, was there one you would have liked to do but couldn't/didn't?

 

^ Nope! Too broke. Would love to take advantage of some of the discount events, as I need roughly 10 bodies from various companies >__>''

V Do you make a new wish list every year? If so, what are you looking most forward to getting from your 2019 wish list? If not, who's been on your wish list the longest?

 

^ my wishlist has been the same for a long time. I just don't have the funds for it, unfortunately. But ideally I'd like to get fluke's body and one of my minifees this year!

v out of all your dolls who is your favourite and why?

 

^ John is my favorite. Because I mean look at him

V What do you have left to buy before your collection is "complete"?

 

^ oh holy night, this is a list.... I have several remaining characters and so many floating heads. Just so many. I really need to get bodies for Seren, Ki, Dacrya, Mercy and a head for Venestus, and get everyone painted. I also really want to shell Dialeptos (vindoll or dollshe 28m, or spiritdoll Herculean.) Helios (no idea but he’s golden) and possibly Dacrya’s lover.... and then finish the reaperverse.... which will mean a body for Laura.... and I think a few other characters but also, maybe I should just slow down. And then make wings for everybody.

V did you use any of the winter events this year? If so, which?

 

^ At this point in the year, nothing that's going to happen. Though I did find something I really, really want next year when I have my studio put back together while shopping for my nieces' Christmas gift!

< I'm really looking forward to getting my studio back so I can work on my dolls again. I need to finish up the bedroom so I can move out of the studio and get it painted and furnished.

v How do your dolls celebrate Christmas/Hanukkah/Yule/etc? Or do they have no winter holiday at all?

 

^ Well, John as a character is an atheist and wouldn't celebrate the holidays (though now that he has things like friends, and emotions, he might a little because how much religion is actually in christmas anymore really), but as the doll for the holiday meet I like to dress him (and Eric) up. Last year he got an ugly sweater and shorts, this year a Christmas onesie. I took a couple pictures but I'd like to do another one now that I have lights before I get him out of his outfit and into normal clothes again. Normal for John.

V Did you get your dolls any gifts this year? Or is it lumps of coal for everyone?!!

 

^ Aoi would be too lazy to make something himself, he'd definitely be a "last minute customer" at some shop in the city (probably head out like... two hours before the shops close...)
Reito isn't much of a Christmas-y person... So he doesn't give gifts out anyways... He instead helps with preparations for christmas gatherings and stuff, that's his way to give something.
Jia would help little Synti to make cute crafted christmas presents. Since Synti is quite childish she'd start talking about it ages before and they'd be done by early December.
And Saki would do a mix of both. She'd do self-made presents for her closest family and friends and for others she'd simply buy some small stuff or sweets.

v What would your character write on his letter to Santa?

 

^ "Dear Santa,
let me stay awesome. Also - let there be more dogs. And maybe... Bring some booze? - Hawke"
"I might not be the best believer, so I won't ask for anything for myself. But maybe... Let people be healthy and happy. Support Mage rights. And pet all the cats on your way. They deserve it. Thanks. - Anders"

v What are your dolls' jobs / would be their jobs, if they worked?

 

^ They would all gather around Feather's house and share stories and watch movies and just celebrate together as a makeshift family. They would decorate the tree and bake cookies. Skylar would probably play them a song on his guitar and Liiloo would make crafts with everyone. It'd be very cute and festive in the Valentine mansion!

< Just had my family get together, twas so much fun! Happy Christmas everyone!

v What would your doll(s) do if they got their biggest wish this Christmas?

 

^ Alex's wish would be to be left alone for christmas (and every other day really) but John has a different wish and he would have literally no idea what to do with his if he got it.

V Taking a break from Holiday-related things! -- What are your dolls flaws? (you can use the actual doll or character, whichever you choose)

 

^ Elliot is very insecure, hot-tempered, and frequently pushes away the people he cares about. Ollie does not look before she leaps, has little concept of personal space, and often pushes people to do things she likes them without enough consideration for their feelings. Ji-han is quite tight lipped about his feelings, and while he is good at helping with other's problems, he rarely asked for any himself even when he needs it. He also tends to push himself to the background, feel upset when he is then underappreciated, then bottle that up. Ingrid tends to let people get away with being rude, even when she could easily get them not to (she doesn't like throwing her weight around, she feels it's unfair), and will also often bottle up her feelings to keep the peace. And Gobbie tends to be an attack first, ask questions no one can understand later kind of lady. When you're that small, you can't give a threat a chance.

The dolls themselves? Elliot is the least poseable, Ji-han is stiff, and Ollie is fiddly. Gobbie is kicky, and Ingrid has no body. The different posing actually suits their characters though.

v Who is the one person you doll would absolutely want to see over the holidays? If no holidays, who do they always enjoy seeing?

 

^ My poor Emie would definitely like to see her wolf body, since that's the form she prefers in story and I've only had her as a human since...like 2009? Whenever Bambicrony Emily came out. I'd have to look it up. Please be patient sweetie, I only have one more layaway payment!

< So ready for the holidays to be over. Also I hate living on a farm. I have yet to come across a nastier smell than damp chicken coop. Well, that's not true. Cow feedlots are worse. But still, ick!!

v Where is your doll/character's favorite place to be?

 

^ Gazing longingly at the garden outside my window, usually from my work desk for the time being. She rather likes nature and flowers I imagine.

< Is reconsidering her life choices after the holiday pig out.

V Does your doll have a pet? If so, what do they have?

 

^The Pub has two cats, named Glenfiddish and Hennessy, they keep the vermin out but let some strange small critters in. Lyric has a cat named Slash because of a white streak in his otherwise black fur. Odom has a minion-like pet, Ghych, with wings and horns, but he also has cute little bean paws that Odom likes to squeeze. I don't think the dragon, Qalbenth, qualifies as a pet but he hangs around in the Pub basement with the vampires and the Steampunk boiler room.

< Glad my migraine waited until last night to hit, I slept through most of it and feel great today.

v Do your dolls have any unexpected pets or favorite plushies?

 

^ I got Gobbie a little teddy from Resin Rose. It's just the right size.

v What is your doll's favorite genre?

 

^ Depends on the doll, some are x-rated , others like demon hunting, other's it's drinking and eating at the Pub. Three of them like playing their guitars and jamming together making up new songs. I also have some that just like clowning around.

< Rain already and then go on by...

v I like that question so passing it on - What's your doll's favourite form of entertainment?

 

^ Not counting the similarly x-rated things , Ed, Jace, Al, and Razzy all love to curl up with a good book, Winry loves to tinker and come up with new ideas, and Nico likes to stargaze. From the other group, Gabriel likes to wander the gardens or town, Esa likes to cook (even if she's not very good at it), and the kids are kids and love trying to get away with mischief!

< It's raining here, too, but it's a lot colder here so it's all going to turn to ice tonight... ugh.

v What's your doll's favorite weather?

 

^ Kouri likes dreary weather...rain, fog, etc. Most everyone else enjoys sunshine, except for Sora who's favourite weather is the inside of his apartment.

< I just ordered a doll...gods, how many years has it been...?...

v What's the longest you've gone without ordering a doll?

 

^ Two years since I ordered from Withdoll, and counting.

v What's the favorite book of your favorite doll?

 

^ For Elliot, those would be a collection of Edgar Allen Poe's works. For Ollie, that would probably be Percy Jackson or something similar. She is not much of a reader. I'm not sure of the others.

v What is your favorite style to dress your dolls in?

 

^ I don't have my dolls yet, but I will base this on clothes I've already ordered or that I am going to make. For Anders I am going to make his feathered leather coat he wears in DA2 and I've got him some normal "our time" clothes in similar shape and colours (and virgin killer sweather - to show of the scars on his back). So he be either scruffy rebel mage or just a scruffy rebel
For Hawke I'll try to make his Champion Armor (mage type), his home robe and for "non-fantasy" I'll get him a nice burgundy shirt and black trousers/jeans. And band t-shit and ripped jeans.
For Timothy (my OC) I'll get some punk and metal clothes and also his Priest clothes.
So I guess I have a thing for scruffy punk/metal clothes. (And sometimes something dressy and showy.)

< I don't really like celebrations. There is a lot of people around, but somehow I always feel lonelier than on regular days.

v If you could change one thing on each of your dolls, what would those things be?

 

^ I want slimmer feet for my narae60 so she can wear shoes, and I want slightly more flexible joints on my feeple60 soony so actually feels double jointed xD;

< the downside to having two weeks off during the holiday time is that my sleep schedule has completely gone to shit :-D

v same question: what is one thing you would change about your doll(s)?

 

^ If I had to do everything over with my dolls I might not have so many WS ones. I don't know, but over the years I've just realised how unnatural it is and it's starting to bother me, lol. Other than that...the twins have HUGE heads, something in between 6/7 and 7/8 so finding them wigs is annoying and costly because they're identical...

< I want a Smart Doll...but at least the one I want doesn't come in the colour I need so I'm safe. For now.

v Does your collection involve mostly dolls from the same story/universe or different stories/universe?

 

^ I have two universes and then a bunch of randos. The two universes I have are a DC comics one, and my own that was expanded and changed to fit all my ocs. The randos are all fan dolls and one group of dolls that currently have no character that I need to work on.

> I have not internetted in more than a week. I am behind.

V if you could go back in time and start over, would your collection change? How would it change, or why not?

 

^ I probably wouldn't change much since my current main story-line evolved around one doll purchase that triggered the whole Pointless Lore & Pub world, so I don't need to go back in time. Though if I did, I probably wouldn't buy any MSDs besides DC Colin.

v Do you like realistic or fantasy characters?
