^ Get the freaking main cast complete already! Read: Find another body option for Vipo07 if AprilStory fails to deliver, and get Sven re-shelled in the same sculpt but normal skin. Maybe grab another IoS Class 70 body instead, those are sufficiently marvelous for me to not mind duplicates. Also, get the last of the girls'artificial fiber wigs replaced.

^ depends. If my girlfriends parents stop being... (insert insult unfitting for this thread which is pg13) and I'm able to spend my money, rather than saving it all to pay for her uni...

F60 moe body for Tacet, DS hound body for Grim, gluino mechanical Vampire head for grim, head for Hades, faceups for Frost, Thanatos, Kalona, death (ramiel), finally buying th Famine, and a body for Azrael. Finally bringing home Cadere is a thing too. And Morte. And now Laura. Also, making clothing (list elsewhere)

If there's no money, I just want to make clothing for what I have. And wigs. Maybe start an Etsy, SO I'll have a bit of cash but I won't hold my breath.

<why. Why does impl need to make what I want when I want it, and absolutely can't even dream.

V misery loves company: what's the one release you most regret missing and why?

 

^ Soom Isha the Song of the Earth (gray skin). He's my Grail Doll now. But - as Soom answered there are only two gray dolls was ordered, so I can just cry that I realized him so late...

v Opposite question: which doll you've bought disappoint you the most?

 

^ really, none of them disappoint me per se. Sculpt wise, Withdoll Cecily, cause honestly I wanted something way more mature and buying her taught me that. Quality-wise is also a stretch, but my April Story Spring was delayed a bunch (like always) and his stringing channels were full of resin dust. I actually had to put on my respirator and blow canned air through his stringing channels to get most of it, cause I'm a singer and I'm paranoid about my lungs. (Ironically, his head got Cecily's body!)

^^too slow. And I'm not sure how popular withdoll is, but I adore them! And popodoll has some really quality sculpts, but never seems to get the kind of love that, say, FL gets..

v When you're choosing skin color of your doll while making an order, do you have some special reasons to choose this or that color?

 

^its always for the character. The most choice I'd ever had on resin colour was working with Angell-Studio, on my custom-coloured Bing Yi, where I completely chose her colour. Hers is a really deep purple, which I've seen really work on three other dolls. I wanted it to be a darker colour because she's a celestial being allied with darkness. Her 'father' is the god of Midnight. It also needed to contrast with her girlfriend, who is paper white.

V what aspect of this hobby first interested you?

 

^ I just love how elegant they are! As someone who's working towards an art major I can really appreciate the time and care that goes into a BJD that really satisfies my craving for beautiful art lol. And also I love creating OCs so it's just perfect :')

v Out of all your dolls, if you had to choose a favorite, who would it be?

 

^ my blasphemous answer right now is my Ringdoll K, John Crow...every time I say that out loud around friends they tell me I'm terrible and they feel sorry for Alex....

^ Kind of? Katen will always hold a dear spot in my heart but Jes has kind of taken over the throne in her glamour.

v Speaking of favorite dolls -- is your favorite mold now the same as it was when you got in the hobby? Why or why not?

 

^ Back then my grail was a delf woosoo. I still love the old delfs, but now I my fav is probably supia nael!

v if you were in a situation were you could only keep ONE doll, and there is absolutely no way around it regardless of price or size or how many you carry, who would you keep?

 

^ It would break my heart to lose my boys, especially my few limited dolls, but I'd have to choose Ash my first, Ringdoll Sol.

^ Katen has an ankle bracelet and a necklace he always wears. Beyond that nobody's really got any bling.

< I am under a cat. Since Chuck is not a cuddly lap cat I am taking full advantage.

^Rina has a dragon, who I intend to shell as a cuarto dragon, someday

^ Absolutely. I was planning a cat, then this happened:


< [mini-rant ] O dearest humans. I get that parents are evolutionally (evolutionarily? Is either of that even a word?) obliged to consider their offspring the pinnacle of humanity, and they may even have a point every now and then. But if your perfect progeny can't behave themself in my orchestra I don't care if they've been playing their instrument since they were two or even if they're the next freaking Mozart - they disrupt rehearsal repeatedly, they've got to go for the others' sake. ^ Yes! Eilis is a painter (Although she loves to sketch, painting is by far her favorite). She favors a very realistic style with her art.

^ Nah. Everyone pretty much lives in the same outfits.

^ Johnny's a Brit, so he's extremely fond of licorice allsorts (something that we don't see too often in the States). Alistair likes pizza, and Chloe's a gummy bear gobbler. I haven't picked out a junk food for Johanna yet.

v It's snowing outside. Do you take your doll(s) out for pictures, or do you keep him/her/them inside all day?

 

^ Oh HELL no. If it's snowing I am not dragging my ass one inch further from my sofa than I absolutely need to. I don't do cold. Neither do they.

v Grail dolls! Do you have one? If so, what is it?

 

^ I received one package I was tracking today, two wigs and a mechanical arm, but I have a pair of Soom legs I'm tracking that are coming from Denmark.

^ Yes. A good briefcase for 70+. Probably I will looking for some master to make it, ugh.

^ Nah. Don't have the money to buy one, certainly not out to sell one. I'm a keeper.

v Ever had doll inspiration hit you out of nowhere? How'd you handle it? Did you give into the temptation or resist?

 

^I have a character named Sprout who is a tiny plant person. the original doll for her was both too big and too young, but fortunately I wandered into a more suitable doll. now I just have to save up the money! still a wip as while I know what wig and clothes she'll need I have yet to buy them.

v if there was one doll concept you wish you had come up with yourself, what and from where was it?

 

^ Uh. I don't know? Maybe I wish I would've come up with the idea of fantasy dolls first, but I don't even like them, really, so that would be kind of odd.

< Okay, this cough can bite me. Go away, I need to work tomorrow. Go. Away.

v Your doll has a cold. How do they cope?

 

^ Lots of herbal tea with honey. And chicken soup.

< So many of my dolls still need face-ups, and it'll be months before I can do them. And redo them since I'm new at it.

V Do you do your own face-ups or have someone else do them?

 

^ I do my own. To be honest, I'd be scared to even play with them otherwise because I'm really uncomfortable with the thought of not being able to fix it myself if I mess them up somehow I'm weird that way.

< Three rehearsals, one wedding, a four-in-one concert and three shows to go before xmas. Just keep swimming ...

v How about that holiday spirit among your crew? Who loves it? Who hates it?

 

^ they love it! All of them are fans of the New Year holidays.

v Are you counting days to the New Year party? Or you don't like it a lot?

 

^ here's a sad answer, cause I'm feeling very bittersweet about Christmas. Rina would ask for her wings. She lost them when she was rescuing her girlfriend. They were blasted into debris. Without them she feels weak, and claustrophobic, and like a part of her is gone, and she also feels like her girlfriend deserves someone who can keep up, who can enjoy the skies with her, because Balik loves flying and has been holding back for her. She feels weak and mortal and useless without the ability to fly, and she can't go back to her home world, she literally couldn't get through the toor to her own house. So, santa, if he's listening to the muttering of ex-assassins not from Earth this Christmas, all she wants are her wings back.

Plot twist: Balik would ask Santa for Rina's wings back too, because it hurts her and makes her feel guilty to see her rescuer so broken.

V passing this down because my answer was not lighthearted enough to be Christmassy. What does your doll want for Christmas?

 

^ Both the dolls I have home right now probably just want to be finished, heh... One of them needs a final layer of sealant before she can be strung back together, and the other I haven't even started working on. Neither of them have any clothes yet. Yikes.

< I managed to join a split for a FL Lucywen head and unicorn horn and I am so pumped! I'm gonna be putting her on a RS Yao body and I cannot wait to get her all together. Of course, maybe I should focus on the dolls I already have first...

v What are your dolls' favorite holiday treats?

 

^ Avery hasn't told me his favorite snacks yet, but Jess really likes sugar cookies!

^ I'm actually kind of slim pickings on clothes for my dolls in general so no outfits for holidays.

^ Never asked but since she dont say anything when i listen metal so...

^ Yes. I have a little Island Doll An An in her maid outfit which means teeny tiny kitty maid adorableness!

^ Nah. It isn't my aesthetic. I can appreciate how gorgeous they are, but I don't own any nor do I want to.

^ as you can see, Hoshii Miki, Shinon's head would solve some problems too :P

^ well I think so , I don't own anybswords yet that are doll size but it is in the plans.

^ The New Year night. It's a favorite holiday for all of them.

^ Successfully got my grail doll off the auction! and it was at a surprisingly reasonable price

^ Of dolls I have: Volks Michele - he was my Grail.
Of dolls I don't have: Volks Yugiri. I think that's how you spell it. I'd love one, but they don't pop up often, and never have the money when they do. Also, I'd really like the body he comes with, which is non-gender and kinda hard to find.

V In a similar vein: Dream doll vs Grail doll. What do you consider the difference, and do you have one or more of each?

 

^ lol I actually had to really think on this one... I guess maybe I do see a difference. To me at least, a dream doll is one I would love to have but don't necessarily need and a grail is one I want and even if it's difficult will try my damn hardest to obtain cuz it's just perfect.

^ Most of mine are pretty decisive. They wouldn't have ended up where they are without that.

^ Hmmmm Superpowers, well, I guess since I have actual wizards that can do magical things and an alien who is telepathic, I guess I'd answer, yes. I have demons and vampires but that doesn't count toward superpower it is just non-human powers.

^ John would love to fly. He tries...but he doesn't do a very good job.

^ Rina binge-watches Jessica Jones. No one appreciates that she learns defensive sarcasm from it. She also equates Kilgrave to Tacet, and Hope to Balik, and as anyone else who's seen it will know this makes the episode 1X10 AKA: Thousand cuts hurt. She cries every time. She likes Jessica though, especially because she relates to her: they both have 'gameboy of eternal damnation syndrome' where they blame themselves for everything to ever happen, and that same martyr complex wherein they can be the only one to suffer.

<damn... now I want a rewatch. Nope must help the cast of my favourite musical...

V what does your doll do at midnight on Christmas Eve?

 

^ The one who celebrates Christmas would spend all night watching classic Christmas moves~

v did you buy your dollies Christmas gifts this year?

 

^ Not exactly, but for my gift from my dad I requested a set of large "box shelves," as I described them to him. They'll be MSD-scale room boxes with closed fronts (and a space to run wires in for some LED lighting), so I can finally start getting the dolls out of storage and on display again. Plus, room boxes!

< I'm tempted to try to get some photos with the SDs and the slightly shrimpy tree I bought this year, but my kittens are on a major tear again today...
