< Packing up 20+ years of video game history is not unlike a trip through time. Soooo many coaxial cables. o_o

v Is your doll a gamer, and if so, from what era or preferred platform?

 

^ Does Cribbage count? Although I think at least a few of them would prefer chess... And Dom and Dir play games to creates the storms... Miluk is actually the only one who comes from an era that would have gaming consoles, and he'd probably prefer the Sly Cooper games on the PS2 and other similar games the best - the ones that comes out nowadays are too realistic looking and/or complicated for him. He likes relatively simple enjoyment XD

< Laaazy Saturday, I should try and get doll stuff done but I should also try and get housework done, but I should also run some errands and maybe go into work to try and get at least a little bit more caught up for Monday...

v What is your doll's motivation? Are they more inclined towards working hard for a goal, or do they prefer taking their time and just going with the flow, or are they just a lazy son of a gun?

 

^Saturday is very go with the flow. Though its more because she's not very focused.

vHow does your doll deal with stress?

 

^ Samael hides in his lovers arms (or in his fur... depends on Lui's appearance - human or wolf-like monster).

< So tired from work... 9 hours of standing... selling ice-cream... and on top of that almost two hours to home... but... dolly-money!!

v What is the best relax for your doll, when he/she has rough day at work/school?

 

^ Ichigo and Avery both go straight for the bath in the jacuzzi tub with scented bath soap. Those water jets and the scents can undo quite a bit of stress, if that's your thing.

< SO MUCH PACKING. @n@ My back is so stiff and sore.

v Passing the question down, what does your doll('s character) do for relaxation after a rough day?

 

^ Jo swims to destress, and likes to sing. She can't do this near her family, as a siren, but if she swims far enough away finds singing to be cathartic. Last time she sang around her... Whatever grim is to her, things fell apart a lot, because she didn't realize she was inflicting crippling amounts of (deserved) guilt. It still lead to conflict. She hasn't done it since.

V which of your dolls or characters has been with you the longest?

 

^ The doll that has been with me the longest would be Mokuba, I got her in 2005...but as for the character, that would be Kouriel. His character was around quite some time before Moka in my brainspace. He actually started off as a one off D&D paladin- and has changed quite a bit since then.

< YoSD boy clothes are hard to find...I just want some renaissance/fantasy type clothes that don't cost my soul 'cause I have to buy two sets...and I just keep finding dresses. Too bad my twins would kill me if I put them in a dress...

v Do you ever wish you had more crafting skills to put to use in this hobby?

 

^ Definitely, I want to try so many things but unfortunately without a full doll it's hard to even try it out.

< School has to be the one of the most stressful things to exist.

v Passing the question on! Do you ever wish you had more crafting skills to put to use in this hobby?

 

^Eh, I don't really wish I had more crafting skills for the hobby. I do all my own face-ups, I can do tattoos and manicures, piercings and modifications. I make most of their clothing, I've even made shoes and wigs. I've made furniture and props. I have plenty of ways to express my visions and already there's always a far longer list of projects I wish to complete than I will ever be able to.

v Is there a character in your doll family that you think would be a perfect friend to you in real life? Who are they?

^ well, that's a first, I must have pressed the wrong key! Okay, cutting it short: my MNF Luka and my Raspberry conjointly. My MNF because she acts and offers appropriate assistance in time of stress, my Raspberry because she nurtures people.

< there is sunshine RIGHT NOW! I hate this changing weather. . Give me neverending Spring and Summer. And a lot of dosh to spend on guilty pleasures.

V Another spin on the previous question: who is your resin best friend? Did you choose him/her with this in mind?

 

^ my characters, for the most part, would loathe me. As their author, I am the one they blame when things go wrong. Midnight, however, once I buy him, would be my resin friend, cause he's pretty much a cinnaroll. He's the emo God who needs some hugs and a good friend, and wouldn't hold his storyline against me, most likely. Also, I'd let him borrow my eyeliner, so there's that.

<my girlfriend's birthday. Where the hell is that doll. EMS why?

V would/have you ever bought someone a doll as a gift?

 

^ I was thinking about it already. But now I don't have enough money for my needs, I need to think about payment for school and other stuff... But I think that I'd like to do it.

< I don't want to spend another weekend like this... 10 hours at work, 4 hours of traveling... suffer like this for 2 days? I hate that position on grill... but... ugh... I'm doing it for my dolls... TT_TT

v What was the hardest decision you made in this hobby?

 

^ Robbie has a cat named Jasper (but I have not yet gotten a resin cat for him) and eventually ends up with a different cat named Connery, who is a Scottish Fold. Link has Epona. I also have a little Kaiju but I don't know who he belongs to.

< None of the resin cats that are out are quite right for Jasper or Connery. I need more cat options.

v Passing the question down. Do any of your dolls have pets? Either the character, or the doll, in resin form or not?

 

^ Severus has ended up with a tortoise, a frog, and a snake. I never had him picked for being someone with one pet, let alone several. Rei has his cat, Christian and Sebastian have their horses, Zoe has her husky, and someone is definitely getting a Boston Terrier from Iplehouse. @3@

< All my books of Japanese and Chinese plays have just reminded me how much I miss all of this stuff.

v Do any of your dolls/characters have unusual interests (in the context of their stories or backgrounds)?

 

^ Reid knits and does embroidery. While this isn't unusual in and of itself, it probably is unusual for a guy like Reid (biker, former soldier, hardcore daredevil and all-purpose tough guy). Liam collects teddy bears, which is also probably unusual for someone who is a self-proclaimed "super badass action figure".

V Do any of your dolls have a special item that is theirs and no one else's? Some prized possession that has special significance to them?

 

^ Yep! All of my characters have one item that they are very fond of. Usually it is given to them by another character, since they're all like siblings.

< It's only 9am? This day is going on forever..

v What is the one doll you'd do anything to get? Any specific sculpt, or even making one up. (I'd sell everything to get my hands on an MSD cyclops)

 

^ Anything ... I'm not sure that could even happen, to be honest. There are a few I own that I broke the bank over (looking at you, IH Bianca!), but luckily there currently are no others that would require going to extreme lengths to get.

< I refuse to believe I'm getting sick again. Fourth time in three months, what the actual eff?! Not happening, nope, no sir. And all the doc does is ask if everything's all right at work.

v If you had doll time right now, what would you be doing?

 

^ face ups and the blushing on Jo's fins, probably. I really need to paint Frost and Thanatos's faces by the end of the week at the very least, and the blushing is more of a for fun type activity. Technically speaking, Neferet needs some touch ups, Kalona needs a face, Di/Rina needs a face and blushing, Grim needs some sculpting done, and scarring, but that's on hold till I finally obtain his head, Oh, and I need to figure Death's tattoo out, and Hades' tattoo, and War's tattoo, and figure out if they're within my skill level... Too much painting/blushing that needs doing, but i have three cans of Testors, so I'm pretty much set.

< I reeeeeally should be doing biology right now. Really should be...

V Passing this down, what doll-related activity would you rather be doing right now?

 

^ I would like to say I'd be doing faceups or mods on the dozen or more who need it. Or I also need to figure out who is going to Doll-A-Kon and what they're going to wear........but truth is I'd probably just mess with John. (besides it is raining yet again. So doing anything faceup related won't be happening)

^ Sewing. Poor Jeremy still needs trousers, Severus is cross that I still haven't finished his proper robes, and I just want to make a mess of things for Matilda and Alcyone.

^im selling off a lot of the collection, but I have a huge collection of Monster high/ever after high dolls, and the old Mattel winx dolls (Layla was my childhood crush...)

V what's your favourite thing to make for dolls?

 

^To relax? stockings. Very simple and easy to zone out to. To have? Very detailed dresses. The more embellishments, the better!

vWhat are you eyeing as your next doll related purchase?

 

^ Currently, my next purchase will likely be Iplehouse nYID Andrew. Since Iple is discontinuing him, my plans are kind of shuffled around. (story of our lives, right?) I also want one of the Boston Terriers from Iplehouse...

V Passing on the question because I'm too tired to think of a new one. What are you thinking about as your next doll related purchase?

 

^ Similar ... a Bull Terrier and nYID Noel's head. I was considering more heads, but neither Andrew nor Patrick really "click". I just saw a RS Noel so right now I wish I could get him as full doll in RS ... but he'll need to share a body and that's just so much easier with normal skin dolls. The wallet is grateful.

< trying to decide on a P&P setting for an RPG weekend is proving tricky.

^ The last purchase was Migidoll Ell head on F-doll body. I'm trying to spend as little money as possible on BJD stuff...

< I wasn't at school for at least 4 days now... I should go there and actually try to pass my exams... I don't wanna...

v Are you happy with your last doll-related purchase or do you have regrets?

 

^ My "last" purchase is on the way, so I don't know yet. But the one before that was a Fingertip Dreamland Bunny-maru. I had regrets about getting him instead of the Paper & Sakura Ruby I was going to get...but I'm glad I snagged one in the end. I just wish he was a little bigger.

< All I want to do is sleep, but no. Have to stalk my front door because mail. *flails at front door*

v Do you have a doll that would ship themselves somewhere if they could? If so, where and why?

 

^ Juniper would probably try and ship herself back to her universe to find her brother. (don't worry, June-bug, I'll buy him someday when I can afford him!)

< I finally got a doll I'd waited 6 months for. I'm going to pamper her so much!

v What is the most common hair and eye colors among all of your dolls?

 

^ Hair: Green, black or blond
Eyes: blue or green

V Ever have a hybrid you would have liked to make but it wouldn't work out for some reason? What hybrid, what reason?

 

^ You know the answer ... the problem is called Sion Yoon and the reason is the neck opening on Dollmore Adams. Why oh why! I would have loved to be able to put him on either the IOS or AprilStory body I have on order, but both come with heads of their own and I'd need to mod the body to make him fit. Right now I just want to find any body at all that fits.

v Passing on the q: Ever have a hybrid you would have liked to make but it wouldn't work out for some reason? What hybrid, what reason?

 

^ my Karena head on a 18years Dollstown girl body. The body's neck is not wide enough. I've seen an hybrid with a Bernice head but there is no detailed picture of the neck area.

< I just want my new boy home.

V What is the first thing your doll(s) do after waking up?

 

^ the first thing Tyler does after waking up is take his medication and then drink copious amounts of coffee. Noé's first actions of the day are similar; medication, coffee, shower...in that order. Reid's first thought on waking up is usually breakfast and, given the choice, he'll eat before doing anything else. The first step in Aubrey's morning routine is to look out into the back yard (he does this every day when he's at home) and then he heads for the shower before breakfast.

< I wish reports could write themselves.

V At the other end of the day, what is the last thing your doll characters do before going to bed?

 

^ Most make sure that Thaddeus has his minion at his beck and call, fireball throwing temper tantrums in the middle of the night are now a thing of the past. Ash and Evz make sure their bedroom door is locked. All the musicians head for the sound proof room and jam until they all fall asleep on the futons.

< Stupid doctor appointment's I can't get out of in the middle of prepping for graduation party, ugh.

v Which of your dolls is the most likely to make sure the doors are locked up at night?

 

^ I think that Skylar would be most likely to make sure that the doors are locked at night. He just seems like that kind of person would make sure that that is something that is done.

< Laundry. Gees that needs to be done. This class also needs to be done. I'm tired.

v What doll of yours is most likely to get a "Most Likely to _____." in a yearbook? BONUS: Finish the 'Most Likely to _____.'

 

^ Sven would win "most likely to marry his dream girl". (Spoiler: Yes, yes he will.) Not sure if he's the most likely of them to win any of those though, I can barely remember yearbooks.

< Oh c'mon body, give me a freaking break. I want to go to dance class, I want to do stuff, I've spent so much time at home I feel like I know the freaking internet by heart! If I were a doll I'd request a new body, this one is faulty.

v Are / were your dolls' characters in any school clubs / societies?

 

^ The doll I have on Layaway Mina was in the alchemy club during her school years and Kiki was in the garden club much to every ones amusement since she is a rabbit anthro.

v Was there ever a time when one of your doll characters wanted to look like a different doll?

 

^ Nope. I dictate their styles, and I want them to look like them.

^ Only one character I want made in to a doll and I'll be getting a Fairyland doll for her sculpt. She's been with me since I was fifteen so she is a tricky one to make sure I get absolutely perfect.

V How do you display your dolls?

 

^ on a shelf in my bedroom next to the crafting space. There's one to the left that's just an empty shelf, and to the right there are the doll rooms. Sorry for the bad pics, for some reason I barely have pics of the doll space. I really need to do something about that!

< Placed my Iple order as a reward for completing half the work on the reports for work.

v Because it just happened to me with Iple discontinuing a bunch of sculpts: Did you ever buy a doll "out of turn"? Who was it and what made you get them early?

 

^ Dollshe Aramis the head I mean, it is sold by Dollshe once again I rushed when I should have taken my time This head is going nowhere I mean, it would be totally unlikely I can get it the body I want With the neck size I want and the shoulders I want because the damn body doesn't exist yet ! I mean, what was I thinking!

V How do(es) your doll(s) relax?

 

^ Zeke used to do a lot of pencil sketching in high school, and lately he's been getting back into it. It calms him down after a frustrating day working retail. Nova calms himself down by planning hypothetical revenge against whoever riled him up. Karalyn is a meticulous journal-keeper, and it calms her down to write about her life. Jun is hardly ever anything but relaxed.

< Getting flooded with spam returns right now, someone decided it'd be funny to send out mass emails and have them redirect to me. Ugh, some days I can't stand the Internet.

v Do your dolls have any plans for the weekend?

 

^ Kiki is planning on nagging me to make more clothes and begging me to buy her eyes when I get paid, and also annoy Loki xD

< Chicken scratches and bites hurt... Why don't you love me chicken?!

V Do you plan out your doll photoshoots or do you just do them randomly?

 

^ Sometimes randomly, sometimes planned. It really just depends on the purpose of the shoot. If I want to set up something elaborate and I have the time, I plan it very meticulously. Sometimes I like to just set up a themed shoot, or I'll plan a shoot in a specific location like the park that requires time and planning but not a great deal of setup. If the point is just to do portraits, that doesn't take as much setting up or planning. For me, it really varies.

< ugh... I shouldn't have slept in, and I really shouldn't be having coffee and ramen for "breakfast"

V Your doll characters are visiting amusement park! How does that go?

 

^ Not great. The Joker owns amusement parks. Bad things happen there. Bad, bad things....

V What is\are your doll's favorite tv show?

 

^ Kiki LOVES Criminal Minds, like seriously loves it! She also likes Wallander, I think she wants to be a detective when she grows up, but the gross parts make her hide her head.

V Has anyone ever made you question why you stay in the hobby via backlash or judgement?

 

^ Not really direct backlash but I have questioned whether I should really be in this hobby after seeing how far confession pages and drama have gone in this hobby.

v This was a really interesting question so ill pass it on! Has anyone ever made you question why you stay in the hobby via backlash or judgement?

 

^ Not as of yet. I'm in this hobby for my own enjoyment - the dolls make me happy and that's what's important. My family has tried very much to dissuade this line of thinking, and there are many people who don't understand the hobby as a whole, and many people within the hobby who don't understand each other. We do have people from all around the world in this hobby so there's bound to be many different views on many different aspects of the hobby. Otherwise, I don't really pay attention to the internet a whole lot and haven't really gotten into any really heated discussions with anyone who would make me question why I'm in this hobby. I don't have to share my dolls or photos or anything with others for them to make me happy, because that is not their purpose, their purpose is solely to make me happy. And they do, whether I am playing with them or they are simply sitting on my shelf looking pretty and adorable. So I don't think this will be an issue for me, but I can see how all the backlash and snide comments on some of the confession blogs and whatnot, or especially face to face, could affect a person, especially if that person is more well known or has a lot of people going after them.

< Finally my Alice Collections order came in, eyelashes for everybody!!!

v Passing the interest in question down as well: Has anyone ever made you question why you stay in the hobby via backlash or judgement?

 

^ No. I can't say I've ever felt like I was being judged, and while I have seen some drama around the forum, it was never bad enough for me to question the hobby as a whole. Personally, I've always found help when I asked for it, all my MP transactions were 100% great, and I know better than to read stuff like anonymous confession blogs, no matter what the topic. Those make me want to punch mankind in its ugly face, regardless of the topic. But hey, everything's got a flip side. No need for me to stop enjoying the bright one.

< Today there shall be doll time! First 70 reports done, 50 to go.

v Of all the doll things you've ever made / done, what did you enjoy the most? (eg for me it would have been making the "Rinaldo" outfits, even though they were made on a super tight schedule.)

 

^ OfKa Lukas is my most enjoyable dolly thing. The project journal was filled with hilarious comments and naughty dares. I let my imagination go and he was born from it.

v What is your favorite dolly project?

 

^ I wish I could say I had more projects under my belt, but as it is, most of the things I want to do exist as ideas alone. My most ambitious project will probably be modding Sky's multiple variants on his left eye and arm, but that won't be happening for a while. As for what I have the materials for, I'm planning on making my twins matching Mahou Tsukai Precure outfits for this October's convention.

< Just scored six or seven free candles. Nice! The condo's gonna smell pretty for a while~

^ I have big plans. Like really BIG. But no time and no money to turn it to reality. The craziest idea floating in my head is wolf monster - the beast form of my cute little Lui > And it could be my fav plan ^-^

< I wanted to spend my next weekend with friends... But no! I have to go to work on Sunday. But... money... and dinosaurs!!!!

v What is the dream job of your doll characters?

 

^ A gang of spies working for a secret alien race that observes human behavior.

< Is supposed to be getting ready for a date today and an event this weekend but has summer insomnia, as usual so is dawdling in bed reading DOA.

V What do you most hope to accomplish regarding your dolls before 2016 ends? (Tick-tock) Up to 3 goals, major or minor.

 

^ 1. Buy Alex's twin's head
2. Buy them both bodies
3. Buy them both clothes and wigs

^ 1. Reshell my main character

v Did you ever thought "all my dolls are finished for today"? Is it possible?

 

^ Yes, I think it's possible. I feel like the majority of my dolls are "finished" and I've really been enjoying not buying new dolls and just getting things for the ones I already have. There are still a couple of dolls on my wish list, but I don't feel too much of an immediate need to buy them (except possibly Iplehouse Andrew, but I can live without him if I don't get the chance).

V Do you think it's possible to "complete" your doll collection? Why or why not?

 

^ Definitely no for me. The day when my wishlist will be empty will be my last day in the hobby

^ I am not sure... but right now I have the feeling... that with the last doll on my hand-written list my collection would be complete. I am not buying doll 'cause they're pretty (well... of course it's one of the main reasons... but not the top one!!!). There must be the "love on the first sight" moment, which needs to be there for half a year. So I think that it's possible. But I won't stop just because of that >

^ John doesn't use much electricity as it is (he steals it, and is afraid he'll get caught if he uses too much), so he'd just carry on as usual.
