I received a a surprise package today! I have so many things for my girls when they get here. I'm so touched that someone took the time to send this to me. Everything inside was so nice and cute. They even decorated the outside of the box! So thank you [MENTION=54718]SporeXP[/MENTION] !!

finally got my newbie's package out earlier today.
luckily mine wasn't international, so hopefully it should be there within the week!

 

Forgot to say it, but I sent my newbie's package on Saturday. It should arrive this week, I hope they like it!

 

Sent mine out today, post office said it should get there Thursday!

I just received my package today! I'm so incredibly happy with everything I've received. I plan on using every piece of it. It's all so cute and perfect for my plans. Thank you so so much Cynthia in FlintHills for the wonderful gift.

My 5stardoll Aiden isn't here yet (I have an estimated shipping date of Sept 30) so unfortunately he can't try on his stuff. I didn't want to put his stuff on my girl, (I didn't think she'd like it much, and I want to try it on Aiden for the first time) so I only have a picture of her in some of her stuff. Not pictured is 4 more pairs of socks, four more pairs of eyes, two more pairs of shoes and two more wigs. (I got a lot more stuff then I was expecting, so much generosity!) But here she is in all new stuff. She looks amazing in her pretty dress.

Yes I got much more then I thought I would. I think that this forum is a great community, I think in most other places, people would not be as generous, or as happy to give. So many people offered to give things, and they gave a lot, too. I am very happy and thankful. To Cynthia and to the mods for running this event. And if it is decided to do a similar event in the future, I will be happy to give as well.

Thank you Cynthia, I hope he hurries home too! And yes, I will be posting lots of pictures of them both in the future. I also hope I can give her a faceup that shows off how pretty she is.

Waiting on my MK Ophelia been waiting like a month but she should be here early October. I'm so excited!

Oh, a little note to my 'oldbie' though I am away all of next week (honeymoon, yay!) so I won't know if something arrives for me then. I will endeavour to let you know that it has arrived safely as soon as I know, but please don't be alarmed if you don't hear from me, as it will simply be that I am not home yet! Hope that's okay to mention here, it's the only way I could think to let them know since I don't yet know who they are!

Argh, I'm late! Labor Day threw off my whole week! My newbie's package got sent out today, though!

 

I got a box of goodies today! From a Ms. Moon... not sure what the DoA username is, all I saw was the address on the box. There was a ton of stuff in there! Outfits, shoes, eyes, wigs, jewelry... everything!

I asked for accessories for a couple 1/3 girls that I will be getting soon, but the only 1/3 doll I have at home now is my DC Dolores - so I had him try on all the women's clothes and wigs Great fun! I took some pictures, but I'm having camera troubles, so I haven't been able to share them yet

I am really loving the long black velvet dress! It looks incredible on Dolores too, which was an interesting thing to learn

Thanks a bunch mystery gifter! Can't wait to try these on my girls when they arrive!

 

I received my package of goodies in the mail today so the long walk to my mailbox was certainly worth it! Thanks Sophie/Allstar! I now have clothing, shoes, jewelry, props, and a wig cap for my girl. I wish my MSD girl was here to try everything on. I don't have another doll to try the clothes on yet so I will just have to wait. One more month to go! I did take pictures of the clothes though so I will post those pictures later on

 

I got my amazing package today, which consisted of a beautiful corset/skirt/hairpiece outfit, and 2 pairs of eyes. Thanks again to [MENTION=412]beatnik[/MENTION]!

 

My box is at the post office ouo I can't wait for the day to be over with so I can go get it and see what's in it x3

 

Okay, I fixed my camera problems! Here's some of the stuff I got, gamely modeled by my DC Dolores:

Looking frumpy in a corset and pink wig. :P I love both the outfit and the wig! They will look better not together and not on Dolores though I think. I'm so glad I got this corset, because I've been planning on trying to make my own doll corset for the first time. So it'll be great to have an example to look at!

Weeee here's the stuff from my box that I received from EleanorAnne! Sadly the dark blue eyes didn't seem to sit right in any of my kiddos but I shall save them cuz I really love the color of them ;u; The clothes are all so cute even if the pants are baggy xD they make cute pj pants. The buttons were a nice surprise which is awesome cuz I collect those too! PS. sorry if it's too big QuQ

Hi ikurouta, as mentioned earlier in this thread i forgot to include the card. Really hope i will get around to sorting my eye and wig box soon and I might find something for you there too

 

Oh gosh darn confound it all! I missed this completely <slaps forehead, cries a little> it would be totally neat-o if there was a place to donate all the stuff I bought/buy/intend to buy (drunken-sailor style, I'm a 10th umm black belt err...mastershopper) to someone else who would really use it! I guess I could sell it, but I like the idea of community better. Do we have anything like that? I know I'm still technically newb-tronic, but I've got stuff I've never even taken outta the bag >____>

i bought gads of iplehouse shoes and suspenders and belts and dresses and literally never even put the shoes on Astrid (Pamela). They sit there. Gathering dust. ������������

 

I got home today and checked my mailbox, and I had a package from my Fairy Godmother.
I'm not using her name because I checked the member list to send her a private message and found nobody by the name on the note.

Thank you so much! Everything is lovely! My Chloe will have nice things to wear, even if it gets cold outside! Even little Bibi got a new dress and a few other things.

Aren't they nice? Most of the stuff is MNF sized for dolls that haven't arrived yet. But Bibi did get a little dress, some leggings, and some glass eyes. She's holding her stuff in the pic.

This looks like a wonderful event. I hope everyone involved enjoys their part! It looks like it was fun! I don't think I could have done a very good job at getting my taste across even if I could have joined in myself. I wanted to say thanks to the adopters for being so welcoming to us newbies though. This was kind of all of you.

 

My newbie's package got delivered yesterday! I hope they like it.

 

Mine couldn't be delivered but tracking says there was a note left... now to hope it's true and my newbie can pick up the package soon

 

I'm so glad it arrived and that you like it! It was such fun trying to whip up something with my sewing and to finally find a good use for so many accessories!

I do hope we do this again sometime. I had fun! If I hadn't been so busy, I'd have loved to take on more than one Newbie.

So I learned a lot about kimonos today



That's the kimono from my newbie package on my newly arrived Lillycat Ninon.


Pretty sure I didn't put it on correctly (there's some kind of a tie on the white undergarment that I don't know what to do with? And I'm pretty sure that a shoelace bow is not the correct knot for the obi), but considering that when I started I thought I had two kimonos and a matching scarf, I'd say it went pretty well.

 

My parcel from EssieKL arrived last week whilst I was away, so I got the joy of opening it when I got home, and it's absolutely wonderful! Essie was so generous, sending me a pair of shoes, some cute hairclips and three outfits for my Littlefee, and they are all beautiful. I can't take photos at the moment as Liddy is packed away in her box ready to move house soon, but I hope to be able to unpack her first once I've moved and try the lovely outfits and accessories on her then. After all, who needs to unpack the clothes and bedding when you can get the dolls out of their boxes first?!

So, thank you again Essie for your lovely parcel! I'm so glad I got to join in this event, it's been such fun and helped me out massively with my little collection . Thank you mods, for the great event!
